Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 65 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality and not matching the descriptions or images on the website. Customers frequently reported receiving cheap plastic items instead of the advertised glass or handmade products, with issues like sloppy paint, rough edges, and inaccurate sizing. Reviewers also expressed frustration with the refund process, noting that returning items to China at their own expense made it cost-prohibitive. Many felt the website was misleading, both in its portrayal of products and its implied location, and that the prices charged were excessive for the quality received.

As others stated, this is a full blown scam. AI use, no such small business exists. This is a Chinese company with inferior products. I ordered the glass book mug x 2. Sloppy paint job, not heavyweig... See more

Absolute scam

Absolute scam! Ordered two mugs in October that were supposed to be glass. They were plastic and horrible quality. MUCH smaller than advertised. I returned the items and have been waiting 3 months and haven't received my refund. I returned the product immediately. This company is a total scam.

Beware of this scam

If I could give it a negative 100 star I would. This was wild, a complete scam. They sent plastic toys instead of stained glass lamps. It is insane! Beware and now they are going under the name Clara San Diego 2. Be careful!!!

Complete scam

Complete scam. Run away.

The product that arrives is plastic garbage and looks nothing like the products shown in the advertisements. Clara San Diego are criminals and attempting to steal your money. Once you receive the terrible product and attempt to return/get a refund, they will ask you to jump through hoops, then offer you 10% refund, then more hoops, then 30% refund is offered. When you attempt to reference their published refund policy, they simply ignore you and ask you to pay hundreds of dollars to ship the garbage back to China.

Do yourself a favor - don't waste your time trying to get the company to behave with honor - they have none and will not help you. Go to your CC company's support team and request a dispute and refund.

ITEMS DO NOT MATCH PICTURES OR DESCRIPTIONS ON WEBSITE

Received my lamp today and it looks NOTHING like the pictures on the website. The give the impression that their works are made of handcrafted glass, however this lamp is more like a plastic holiday blow mold. The colors on this lamp are dull and faded. This is basically a piece of junk.

Do NOT buy from this company - they are SCAMMERS

Avoid this company at all costs!!
The website I ordered four items from looked as though it was a family store in the UK.
On the website, the goods looked so lovely - a glass 'book' mug, which when it arrived, looked nothing like the one on the website, and the rim of the glass was so rough, you couldn't use it if you wanted to.
I ordered three pieces of jewelry as well - a 'Vow' necklace, blue crystal earrings and diamante' pearl drop earrings.
The necklace was supposed to be sea glass, in the shape of a wave, with crystals adorning it - it was a piece of plastic stuck to a metal frame, with no diamante's. The blue crystal earrings were also plastic and the pearl earrings were just as hideous.
I have emailed the company I bought them from, (Ivy Cambridge) and received an answer from a company called Clara San Diego in China, offering me a 10% refund, or I could return the goods to china, using their postage label, which would cost anything from £30 - £80!!
I have no way of getting my money back and these goods are not even sellable in a charity shop, so I have put them in the bin.
I would hate anyone to have the same experience as me, and by the looks of it, several other people, so do not be fooled by the pieces on their website that look so lovely!

Bought two "handmade" table lamps on…

Bought two "handmade" table lamps on their website through Instagram that looked like stained glass lamps. When I opened the package, I realized that the lamps are made of plastic. The ad on Instagram and their website do not provide description of the material their products are made of. They posted deceiving pictures on website that made me think that they were selling stained glass products. Neither was it possible to return and get refund from them. The name of the website ClaraSanDiego is also deceiving since it has nothing to do with some Clara from San Diego. The seller is from China. It costs more to return their product than I paid for it. They are not friendly when it comes to refund and return. They do not notify their customers that in case of return, customers have to ship the product internationally. Please do not make same mistake I did. Very disappointed.

DO NOT BUY from this company!!

DO NOT BUY from this company!!! What they advertise through pictures and a description and what they actually send do not match! They sent me the wrong item and then they would only offer me a SMALL (10%) return to just keep the item. They never offered to send me the correct item, but the second time they responded they raised their deal to offering me 30% money return to just keep the item and they also offered me 20% off on my next item I order - REALLY?? The last bit of correspondence indicated I would have to pay shipping to return the item - that was incorrect in the first place!! They have yet to offer to send me the actual item I ordered.

This is all drop shipped from China

This is all drop shipped from China. The stone / crystal mugs are plastic. The hand made pieces that look like glass (owl lamp) are plastic and battery operated. They look like someone from five below. So misleading and a scam.

Stay away

Ordered a “book” mug and after two months the shipping company they use (uni uni) said undeliverable wrong address. I contacted them, the address was correct. They still sent it to a different address. Clara have absolutely no support. Did not deal with the shipping company and took no responsibility. Do not use them

Complete scam: DO NOT BUY

I ordered their glow-lamp dog "Sam", which was NOTHING like the item pictured. I could have bought it for $3.99 at Walmart and paid $49. I took pictures of it and sent to Clara with a "You've got to be kidding, right???" message and asked for them to honor their satisfaction guarantee / 30-day return policy. They said they would, but I was responsible for shipping TO CHINA and they put five barriers in the way. This is 100% a scam, people. DO NOT buy product from this company or ANY of it's affiliates.

SCAM. Clara San Diego is based in China, not San Diego and they are preying on Americans who think they are + you must return items to China 🤣

This is yet another China-bases company misleading US consumers by creating a fake brand that is neither based in San Diego and has nothing to do with it. Plus, they are attempting to scam you by saying they are closing and therefore offering deep discounts.

They are not. Clara San Diego is a Chinese company trying to scam you. They don't have anything to do with San Diego and are just using them name to make you feel comfortable.

DONT BE À VICTIM.

Avoid at ALL costs!

When you think you are buying glass merchandise, but instead, receive fake, plastic products! And the plastics also smell horrible. The quality is so cheap. Do not purchase from them. They are a scam and they don't care if you even cancel right away (a few minutes after the purchase) saying the order has already been processed and ready to ship (even when it didn't yet go through my credit card). Avoid at all costs!

Deceptive/substandard merchandise from China -

Ordered a handmade stone mug form San Diego CA.
Several weeks later merchandise comes from China and look nothing like what is pictured on their website. Tried to get a full refund by requesting a return address in San Diego. They say I have to ship it back to China at my cost, or they will give me partial refund or store credit for future purchase. They say they have been in business for 27 years, but their website is only 5 month old.
Taking the issue up with my credit card company.
