I had a great shopping experience at a recent visit with the branch at culver square shopping centre, the staff were very helpful in helping me selecting. I do get that their footwear is not the cheapest when compared to shoe zone but they last and the quality shines through. I perhaps am just a Clark’s girl at heart as I grew up in them.

On Tuesday 27th August myself and my daughter was served by a lovely girl named May. It was our first time ever purchasing from Colchester Culver square store. It was incredibly busy and May made it the most relaxed experience for myself, and my daughter.
my daughter is Autistic non-verbal and we was purchasing her first ever pair of school shoes and May instantly took us to one side where it was calmer and quieter for my daughter which as a whole made it such a pleasant experience. May also was just so down to earth and we had such a lovely conversation where she really made me feel like she genuinely cared and had an interest in the subject we was talking about. We will definitely be shopping there again and we will request to be served by May every time.

We had Corina measure our 3 girls and one of them was a little bit if a tricky customer due to sizing and style she liked. Corina was so patient and helpful. Even before our fitting we witnessed her with another customer and she was brilliant. I had a poor experience in another clarkes shop last year and was dreading today but Corina defnately made up for that. Asset to the store!

Ordered on line 2 pairs boys school shoes at a cost of nearly £100. Collection date from Colchester store estimated 20 Aug 2024, nothing heard by text or email that they were ready. Went to the store on Saturday 24th August to see if they were there to collect. First of all was told they would look into if they could as they were busy! Sorry, not good enough- I am busy but had to make a journey to the town to make this check. Was then told if I hadn't heard anything that they would not be in. Again, not good enough and asked for the store to check the system for me. Was then told they would check the delivery room but if they were not there I would have to take it up with head office - no offer of doing anything further themselves. Fortunately the shoes were ready and waiting collection! No message sent to me to advise awaiting collection. Whole experience of customer experience very disappointing. I know they were very busy, but I should not have felt I was asking too much.

Super online service as was the store where I took my returns back to.

A lovely school shoe buying experience. Buying school shoes is a functional task, but it also forms part of our memory of childhood! This is why I want to thank Siona and Rowena who made it such a lovely experience. Friendly and professional. Thank you.

Booked and appointment for my child's school shoe fitting at the colchester store. It was all very well organised. We were served by Zack who was friendly and very helpful offering us solutions and useful options on issues we encountered.
We left with a great pair of shoes that will see.my child through this up coming school year, and even my mum bought herself some new shoes.

Corina made the experience of bringing my grandchildren in to get their new school shoes a stress free one. Corina was very helpful, polite and good with my young grandchildren.

We had a wonderful experience with khadi at the Colchester branch excellent with the children 10/10 I couldn't recommend her enough just outstanding. However the women who greeted us I didn't catch her name however she was quiet rude as we booked 2 appointments for 2 children and had the confirmations of the 2 appointments but she made it a point to tell us that we hadn't several times.

Abi was very helpful! It was our little one’s first experience of having his feet measured and he love it. Thank you Abi!

May was fantastic! She was quick which was perfect but she took time not to rush my little girl and listened to her. She is Autistic so shoe shopping is sometimes stressful.

Thank you for helping to take the stress out of back to school. I mentioned some concerns and she told me about after care kits that may be helpful without feeling pushy.

Booked online for a shoe fitting for both my children for 9am and 9.15am because me and my son had to be somewhere at 10am. Get to the shop for 9am and it was shut, phoned customer service up who then said they don't open until 9.30, she couldn't answer the question as to why I was allowed to book an appointment at 9am, no apology or anything. My mum luckily came with us and knocked on the door, someone then came to the door who proceed to get a bit funny with us and told us our appointment was 9.15 even after I tried to show her my email saying 9am and just said to was it was 9.15 but it doesn't matter people get things wrong. After about 10mins the manager came over to us to apologise because she said it was 9am but they didn't see it. The shoe fitter then bought out 3 pairs of shoes a size to big. Couldn't have been any worse, especially when your spending £100 for 2 pairs of shoes

Abi served us and was very friendly and helpful with getting my three boys school shoes.

I was shopping for sandals for my grandson. There was a bit of a wait to have his feet measured but staff were polite and checked we were ok. I was seen by Abi, a friendly and helpful assistant. She engaged my 4 year old grandson with talk of dinosaurs, his obsession, and found dinosaur sandals which he loved. Abi gave him some stickers, his other obsession, and had endless patience with him. My grandson, Eden, loved this experience and waved goodbye as he left. Abi was knowledgable and endlessly helpful.
We ended up buying two pairs of sandals and will definitely return.

Went in to exchange a faulty pair of school shoes. The team (and especially Khadi) really went the extra mile! Good service.

Massive thank you to the lovely Sally at the Colchester store who fitted my 9 year old with “uniform policy compliant” black leather shoes.
She was extremely kind and patient, Mr 9 hasn’t ever had a pair of leather shoes that don’t squash & pinch so he came into the fitting expecting the worst.
We don’t seem to have access to the shoes via our stores in Australia so knowing I can source them in the UK and have family forward them to us is a huge relief.

Excellent service by two colleagues going above and beyond. Rowena and Daria.
