I purchased a pair of Georgia black leather shoes from Clarks on Mill Street in Macclesfield. I needed shoes that would fit swollen feet and ankles, and the shop assistant, Jo P., immediately understood what I required. She showed me exactly the right pair of shoes straight away.

Jo was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I was delighted to find a proper shop with a real, attentive human assistant who genuinely cared about getting things right.

I have not experienced customer service like this for a very long time. Jo, who looked after us, made it very clear that her first priority was whatever the best thing was for my son, and not making a quick profit. She spent some time with us because it was not an easy sale. My son is 14 but has special needs and therefore needs shoes that fasten very easily. She was skilled, helpful and caring. I hadn't been to Clarks in a while but will definitely be going back!

I saw Jo today in Macclesfield as the shop was shutting. She went out of her way to help my Austisic son with a pair of sandals which we bought today. We bought 2 other pairs of shoes from Jo on 29/08/2025. On both occasions, the care and understanding she gave my son was outstanding. A very valued member of staff who is a credit to Clarkes. Highly recommendable. Thank you Jo for your excellent service.

Lucinda in the Macclesfield store was brilliant helping to get my son his school shoes. She was kind and patient.

The Macclesfield store was particularly busy on Saturday but there was a great number of staff. My autistic granddaughter was not fazed by the experience which was a huge positive. Ceri was brilliant in guiding us through the purchase of school shoes. She suggested T bar shoes which would fit better. We left the store very happy but unfortunately Anya was so keen to make me happy that she could not bring herself to say that no one in her class would be likely to wear that style (aged 12). The return process was handled very efficiently.

I was served by Jo who was super helpful and did NOT try to encourage me to buy the grandkids shoes but offered advice and said to take my time before you make a purchase - I am old school and much prefer this approach and as a result we bought a pair and she also said one of the other grandkids didn’t need a new pair just yet - simple approach and appreciate it

Went to the Macclesfield store for my daughter’s school shoes. I always use Clarks for these shoes as they are good quality and hard wearing and have pretty designs. We were served very quickly by the lovely Eden. She was very friendly and put my daughter at ease when measuring her feet. We chose some shoes and Eden found the size swiftly. Very straightforward, easy and quick visit!

Attended today to pick up some shoes for my 16 year old son. Excellent advice and measuring service from Eden.

Molly in the Macclesfield branch was super helpful and friendly when I was buying new school shoes for my daughters.

Lyn was excellent! We turned up (1 adult, 1 hyperactive 4 year old) without an appointment to buy 3 pairs of shoes and managed to get exactly what we needed really quickly. Lyn was really helpful and friendly - and patient with my son! Thank you! 5*

Came in to Macclesfield store today for new schools shoes for my daughter. Tai served us and was fantastic. She was thorough when measuring my daughter’s feet and very patient when she was picking shoes. She made sure that the ones she had picked fit perfectly and both myself and my daughters were really happy. Great service.

Booked a school shoe fitting for my two children as I like them to have properly fitted shoes.
Really helpful assistant (Heather) We weren’t rushed. She spoke to both myself and to the children and listened to their feedback.
