The app is no longer usable because you are forced to see adverts before you are allowed to use it. I will now unplug my 4 Clever Dog cameras and bin them. What a total waste of money.

Ads spoil what was a great app
When I bought my first camera I was amazed how good the image was for so cheap a camera. I bought two more. Now I know how they do it- I cannot access the app without a series of adverts in screen that take ages to run and get through. I paid for the cameras why do I have to suffer the ads?? Seriously thinking of ditching them
Such a shame
Such a shame. As others seem to be finding, having used this product for several years, we have now been forced into buying products from another brand. This is purely down to the greed of the manufacturer and the never ending stream of adverts you have to endure before eventually being granted access to your camera.
Used to be a very good app
Used to be a very good app. Now you have to watch so many adverts !!!! Do not buy!!!
Tired of commercials in a paid product
I have used these cameras and the app for years, but after the app has begun using advertisements heavily, I have stopped using it, and am going for other vendors instead. When I have bought and paid for their cameras, it should be possible to use their supporting app without being drowned in commercials, but, obviously no… that has been a deal breaker for me.
clever dog
had mine a number of years,,,had 4one was replaced an work fine
If it isn’t broken… Don’t fix it !!!
It seems I’m not alone with my disappointment, as I see loads of loyal long term users are finding problems with their cameras and app. I’m searching online to find why I can’t connect mine up and just find a bunch of people upset they can’t either.
I’ve been using Cleverdog for years, I however only use them when I leave home for holidays; super easy, plug them in and they connect to your phone so you can see live footage of what your camera sees and well, etc, etc… they worked great.
A few months back, I even bought a second camera and again, it worked just great.
However, it’s seems in the time I used them last, about 4 months, an update has occurred and now my cameras won’t connect to my phone. I can’t delete them either to try and reset and also there are now adverts popping up everywhere within the app.
So sad Cleverdog, what to do now!? Throw the cameras away and delete the app!?! I mean I can’t sell the cameras if they don’t work! I’ll just have to find another security solution elsewhere! What a shame, real shame.
The name says it all
The name says it all. I’ve had a camera for years And now it’s blackmail with adverts to try extract more cash from users. Just thrown mine out. I’d rather spend the cash on some of the other excellent work cameras out there today
Worked fine for years... but can no longer wipe SD card.
We have had a cleverdog camera since 2012 and have been very pleased with it. We use a Micro SD card to record times when we leave our dog at home, and then wipe the card every so often. HOWEVER, we can no longer delete the Micro SD card! I contacted CleverDog and was told I would receive a reply within a few days but never did. I chased several times and was ignored. I bought a new Micro SD card, but same problem - the button to wipe the card just blinks at you and nothing happens. I tried wiping it using the app on a different iphone, same problem. I have now bought a Tapo camera instead and put the SD card in that and it works a treat. Looking at other reviews it sounds like the app upgrade caused a variety of issues but Cleverdog are not interested in looking after their customers or issuing bug fixes. Avoid.
No cloud service Adverts forced on you
Had used these before when a dog had separation anxiety, was ok then, not brilliant but ok. Just set it up again for keeping an eye on my garden as the builder next door has been damaging things my side, signed up for cloud storage to be able to record but it doesnt record at all! As others have seid I turned off all adverts but they immediately change back to turned on and they are horrible offensive sex adverts.Absolutely shockingy!!!! No customer service
No longer worth purchasing
I have 2 outdoor and one indoor cameras which have worked well for a few years. Recent app updates now have unwanted ads appearing, sd card can no longer be wiped/formatted and the detection area can’t be adjusted. This is now a product that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at any price.
Useless!
When I finally found the invisible tick box to accept T&C etc I tried to sign up and nothing happened when I clicked the OK button. Essentially the kit is useless as I can't sign into the app
Terrible App
I have had no problems with the app until the latest update.... I have a Samsung z fold 5. Cannot agree to terms and conditions.... This is a HUGE flaw clever dog....Not so clever now are we? Sort it out.....
Can't update app to access my 4…

Since the last update to Cleverdog…
Since the last update to Cleverdog (April '24) app on Samsung. Inundated with adverts of all types! Some with loud volume. Bye bye Cleverdog. Will be removing all traces of it now.
Clever dog App
Had clever dog for years never had issues now since March app no longer works no one can say how to get the app to work can't roll app backwards to earlier version
Seems another landfill coming and a waste money on camera
Can't agree terms only log out then app closes
Get it sorted as the company failed to replay to my email grrrr
April 2024 App Update has a glitch
The app (which is the only thing that makes the camera accessible) was updated (April 2024). To access it you need to agree the T&Cs. On some phones (like my Samsung) you cannot see the box to tick to say you have read them, so cannot use the app. Luckily, I have another device where you can see where the box is. I ticked the general area where the box was on my phone and it now works. Maybe check an update on some common phones before issuing?
App broken, 6 cameras died after your update. No Alexa
On the 3 April at around 5am I woke to many of my clever dog CCTV cameras noisily buzzing? I fired up the app on my android phone to find I had to agree to your new terms and conditions, but the accept button was greyed out and so it is impossible to accept and operate the system on android? I borrowed my wifes Iphone and loaded the app on it. That worked and I was shocked to find 6 of my cameras, the ones buzzing now didnt works and couldn't be reprogrammed to connect back to my wifi? These were the older cameras looking at their serial numbers! You never got Alexa compatibility working, dismissing it as 'cameras too old' in an email reply. Are you under the illusion that killing my older cameras now will cause me to shop again with you? 🤣. I await a solution from you and have raised a support ticket? More than willing to report a positive ending to this sorry saga
Update...it seems that you have changed the working current (I) requirements, because where as they were reliably working on longer than 1.5M cables for many years, they now go into a power up loop!
It seems very odd to me that these small 5 volt cameras that operated perfectly well on the end of the described cables for many years, now cant power up properly. If you think of the POE standard (power over ethernet), and I am talking about ethernet cables I had clever dogs powered by, connected to much shorter than the 100baseT specification limits, how can this be? Separately I have one ethernet cable serving a wired camera data and power, and on the same cat5e a second camera power only from two other manufacturers working reliably. Why are these clever dogs failing on cable from the same reel? I use a USB hub with a current monitor to power them. Prior to the 3rd April it didnt even show a reading with a clever dog plugged in, now its 0.1 to 0.2A. a sudden rise in current requirements.
Cleverdog in bin
Ok just tried to restart and download app .but tablet just told me app is bad.so deleted and camera in bin going to land fill, tried my old home service ones but they gone out of business I guess.so can wait till bins get emptied... Scamming people time to look for something else..
Clever dog app as sent New terms and…
Clever dog app as sent New terms and conditions through but I am unable to agree and continue on the blue button they require you to press I have messaged them but no reply I have a Samsung galaxy A32 Android was all working perfect untill new terms and conditions came through can anybody help me how to get back on to my clever dog app thanks
App not working the last few days
EDIT
I have found a phone settings change! Solve app crashing. Please refer to youtube, tech with Brett android Webreview
I reset my phone settings only & the app allowed me to sign back in & agree T&Cs (Do Not factory reset your phone - don't tap this one) but just reset the settings only. The video will show you how.
App was not working the last few days, crashing etc. I've had it years with no issues. I've tried to email (by clicking the link at the end of the privacy page) but it says uninstall webview? It doesn't work even when you uninstall. I've googled all options, cannot get access to app or cameras.
