Classes have loose structure

Classes have loose structure. New members take advanced classes and distract the teacher, if the teacher corrects them at all. During class on Sat a new member went out during class, got cell phone and came back in and sat on the reformer texting. Not for anyone who likes classes where everyone does as instructed or likes when rules are followed.

Club Pilates Buford totally unethical

Club Pilates Buford totally unethical. I purchased a 3-Month membership, only used 2-months of the membership, paid for 3. It was too much for me at 70 years of age. Cancelled with them before 3rd month had elapsed and they have been hounding me ever since, claiming I did not follow the cancel method they required. They even sent an email asking me to get a doctor's excuse so that they could have something on file as a reason to cancel me. I was appalled. They are still calling me for what reason I don't know. DO NOT JOIN CLUB PILATES BUFORD!!!! They are a dishonest organization, and my next step is going to be to sue them very publicly.

LOVE Hunter's Creek FL

I have been a Pilates student for two years. I attend classes at least 4-6x a week. I started in a private studio and moved to Club Pilates in July.

I absolutely LOVE the Hunter's Creek, Florida location and I am very excited to get started at the location closer to home.

They are VERY clear when starting your membership what the cost is and if you have every been to a private studio you know how affordable Club Pilates Unlimited Membership is.

They have a clear cancellation policy and have classes for every level of Pilates Student.

For anyone wanting to advance their practice you can opt into private lessons and I have had nothing but positive experiences in this setting. While it is a little more restricted due to being available to ANYONE at any level, if you have ever seen how selective Private studios are then you truly would know how wonderful it is that CP is bringing Pilates to everyone else!

Unethical business practices, you decide

Be aware they’re supposed 30 day cancellation requirement isn’t as communicated … what it really means in their own words is…

“Yes, we require a 30 day written notice in order to cancel. All payments within the 30 day notice are still due, so you will therefore have 30 days after your final bill to take classes.”

The instructors range from bad to good. The acoustics, music and some instructors accents and/ or voice volume coupled with laying down makes it impossible to hear at times, sooo frustrating. Even when I discussed this concern there was nothing addressed to resolve.

It’s hard to book classes as there is always a wait list and speaking of the wait list.. I was notified 11 hours in advance I was off the wait list. I had already made other plans however there is s no way to opt out. If I didn’t attend, I’d be charged.

Although I enjoyed Pilates the Club Pilates business practices aren’t acceptable.

DO NOT SIGN UP, Unethical and incompetent business

Unethical and unprofessional business! I was sold a 3 month TRIAL class and informed that I can cancel as long as I give 30 days notice. What I was told/sold by an employee and what the management in Glen abbey believe was a 3 month contract with a monthly payment attached. In theory, no trial and no way you can cancel. The staff seem to oblivious to what the management believe to a trial contract and what they inform prospective customers.
Aside from the misleading trial contract, the classes availability is very poor and the level of teaching varies from good to bad. If this is a franchise operation I would suggest to the owner to re-read the brand guidelines!
I would not recommend signing up for any classes or membership unless you want to spend your time calling and emailing endlessly!
Stressful experience from start to finish!

Predatory membership cancelation policy

I have been a Club Pilates member for 8 months now. I found the classes fun and instructors knowledgeable at my local studio. However, for personal reasons, I needed to cancel my membership recently. That was when I was told that they had a 30 DAY notification period to cancel! So no matter what you do, you end up paying at least an entire extra month ($$$), and in my case, I knew I wouldn't be able to go during that month so I requested flexible class credits that I could utilize when able to (considering I was being charged for them anyway), and they completely refused because "the system won't let them". I would have considered rejoining in the future once my life was back to normal, but such predatory billing policies are unacceptable and I have no intention of giving them my business again.

I took a total of 49 classes within 3…

I took a total of 49 classes within 3 months at club Pilates blue Diamond location. I asked the instructor Lydia if I can advanced to the 1.5 class after taking 20 classes and was told that I had to do about 10-15 more classes and the instructor will automatically move me up when they see I’m ready. I took up to 40 classes and for 3 months I wasn’t getting enough work out or challenge so I finally decided to cancel my membership. I had to fill it the form and email my 30 days notice. Although I have already fulfilled the 3 months and unhappy because I wasn’t getting nowhere I still had to endure another month of wasting my money. Then a couple of weeks after my notice I got a text and asked if I was unhappy, then I told them my issue. I was told that the instructors doesn’t know how many classes each student takes; I texted that I asked the instructor and was told that they will automatically up your level when they see it fit. I guess I felt I was never gonna get to that level, 40 classes and I’m still in the beginners level, really?. Pilates is suppose to make you feel better about yourself not make you feel like I’m a dumb person that can’t even get with the program to move up. Finally some else texted and said I noticed that you are still booking level 1 class, would you like me to assist you in booking the 1.5 class?. I was upset because the instructors told me that they’ll tell me automatically, had I known I can do that I would have already gone to a higher level and maybe get the result and more out I have asked for. She texted that I should give it a try, I told her that I would love to but was shut down by the instructor and besides I’m on my last month anyway. that’s funny that when I am terminating my membership someone finally reached out to me and now telling me it’s ok to try the higher level class, what a joke!!. I think that this establishment is a joke from my experience and a waste of my invested time and money. No one cares about their members until you cancel. I did not get any result, demeaning and when you are trying to improve yourself through working out, made me feel dumb that I don’t even qualify to move up a level after taking a total 49 classes. This place is scam for your money and you will not get your money’s worth!!

Club Pilates is in short is a scam.

Club Pilates is in short is a scam. You are locked into a contract with your credit card on file. They will charge you $10-$15 for showing up late or not showing up to a class. Sometimes you will be charged for not showing up just because the person at the front desk didn’t check you into the class. As far as I can tell, if you do not do the highest/most expensive membership you cannot get into a class which feels scammy/fraudulent to me. You will have an easy time signing up and an impossible time trying to leave. The quality of the instructors is mixed at best and the Pilates is watered down because there are far to many people in a class to do real Pilates. If you want to learn Reformer Pilates, find a private studio in your area with a quality instructor. In summation: scam, fraudulent business practices, corporate greedy atmosphere, don’t do it.

I love Club Pilates Downtown

I have been a member of Club Pilates since November and I almost have attended 100 classes. The intro half hour course is a free introduction. It is only logical to talk about the membership options at the end of the session. I have an unlimited membership and have been able to book out two weeks ahead plus I am able to freeze my membership for a small fee when I am away for a month or more.
It is true it is more challenging to get into classes in the high season but even with classes waitlisted, they usually open up. I love the instructors and also find the reception staff very welcoming. So, from my personal experience, I am very pleased with the club, the equipment and the staff.

I would advise against joining Club…

I would advise against joining Club Pilates as it appears to be a scam aimed at taking advantage of people. I was a member for almost 9 months and experienced several issues. In addition to the monthly membership fee, they charged me twice $10 and once $15 for canceling my class. When my family came down with the flu (common cold) on the morning of my Pilates class, I called to inform them. They assured me it was no problem but later billed me anyway. When I called to dispute the charge, the person I spoke with was incredibly rude and demanded medical evidence for a refund.

A few months prior, I canceled a class 11 hours in advance and texted them to let them know my child was sick. However, they still charged me $10. It took me a week to get a refund after showing them documentation of my child's emergency visit. Looking back, I should have canceled my membership then and there.

As a full-time student and employee with a child and no other support, I found it disappointing that a women-owned business showed no sympathy. I recommend joining a yoga class instead, which provides exercise and mindfulness at a price without extra charges. Please be cautious as I feel that Club Pilates takes advantage of others and has no understanding that life happens

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I had an awful intermezzo experience with Club Pilates between March 2023 and July 2023. Having been a yoga lover and teacher for years, I've heard good things about reformer Pilates and wanted to try it. I decided it would be a safe option to go try 12 weeks postpartum and signed up for the trial class. After the 30 minutes class we got a 20 minute Sales pitch about their very steeply priced packages. I had intentions to think on it but was pushed into a sales package by a very pushy manager. I decided to give it a try for the three months they make you be part of it and went for the lowest package, 4 credits for 4 weeks. Then the disaster began and I feel cheated and robbed of my money. The place I went to had no availability during the times I was able to go (Saturday and Sunday) limiting it even further by allowing me to only go to beginner classes. I ended up on waiting list upon waiting list. They make you cancel 24 hours in advance and you loose a credit ($40) if you can't make it to a class. One morning I woke up genuinely sick and couldn't go to my class - a request to the manager to please credit me the class (the first I didn't cancel within 24 hours) was ignored. When I canceled other classes within the window the class was refunded to my account but I couldn't book it for another class because it needed to be booked within the month it was bought. But because there were no available classes ever I ended up giving the company over $500 and not getting back ANYTHING. The few classes I was actually able to go to were alright but there was no community and the manager was outright rude and as money hungry as the entire company seems to be. Don't make the mistake I made - save your money and spend it on your local yoga or Pilates studio that actually cares and is customer friendly. Club Pilates is an expensive RIPOFF!

Fraudulent business practices

I was sent a 7 day trial offer for $55.
Once you sign up for that, you are automatically enrolled in a expensive monthly membership.
You can not cancel the membership for 3 months.
Then, you need to give a 30 day notice.
Thats 4 months of auto withdrawals for a 7 day trial offer.
I thought switch bait was illegal.

No class availability

First beware of their "free" class, it's a 30 minute sales pitch to convince you to join and pay $259 per month. They make you buy a pair of their overpriced socks unless you wear Pilates socks to your "free" class. Classes are almost impossible to book due to the fact they are bringing in too many members with false promises and they don't offer enough classes. The hours posted are 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. They take a 4 hour break in the afternoon and there are no classes after 6:30PM. They don't offer classes in the afternoon on Friday, Saturday or Sundays. You should look at the availability of the classes before joining. I've included the class schedule for this coming Saturday illustrating there are zero open classes. They used to allow you to book many classes in advance however as on 5/1/23 they limit the number of classes you can sign up for in advance which is the reason I cancelled my membership. I have been going to Club Pilates for several months, I signed a contract which I believed they would honor but they think they can change the terms of the contract which is not legal. I tried to discuss the issue with the front desk attendant, Bri, but she refused to speak to me and was extremely rude. I'm an attorney and she appears to be uneducated. I don't think I've ever seen her smile. The other front desk attendants are very nice and always friendly And welcoming. They have some excellent instructors including Katie, Julie, Jessica and Cory. They also have instructors who haven't even completed teacher training. Lately many teachers have been ill, some going to the hospital but they continue to work because the owner doesn't offer paid sick leave or vacation. They don't have any health benefits. The instructors are even required to pay the monthly fee if they want to attend classes there. The Instructions are not paid well. The good ones end up leaving. Joining this studio at this time is a complete waste of money. They charge you $10 for any missed class you fail to cancel within 12 hours. They charge $15 if you don't show up for a class. You are not allowed to join a class if you are 5 minutes late and they will charge you $15 even though you are there. Please don't fall for their sales pitch, there are many other studios where you will be treated well. At least think twice before you join.

Unethical and shady business practices

Unethical and shady business practices. They are extremely evasive when you try to cancel a membership, stating you need to give an entire 30 days notice before they can even process your cancellation. They do this in order to snag an additional month’s worth of fees from you. What’s even more concerning is once you formally submit a cancellation, they won’t even confirm receipt. Additionally, classes are challenging to get into unless you sign up for them over a week in advance. If you end up canceling a class, they take even more money from your account. Never purchase an unlimited membership from them, as it’s nearly impossible to attend the number of classes per month to justify the cost. Never purchase an membership from them, regardless of the tier, as they’re just seeking to lock you into a membership as long as possible and dip into your account and charge you additional fees. The classes themselves are lazy and mediocre, with instructors that give little to no adjustments or feedback on form. Avoid avoid. Also, there are numerous BBB complaints filed against them.

I have been attending Club Pilates for…Fitness and increased mobility

I have been attending Club Pilates for over 2 years now. Instructors are experienced, patient and professional. I always get a great full body workout. Front dest staff are friendly, helpful, courteous and professional - I love them all. Especially helpful and sweet is Jen, she goes above and beyond to all members. Can you imagine she actually helped members clean off their cars after a snowfall? How sweet is that? She also took myself and 2 other members to LA Fitness to show this new location and explain price and answer any questions we had. WOW!
