Frames Failed after 5 months.

I ordered a pair of glasses to use while using the computer. I ordered from Coastal as they had the same Titanium XXL frames that I use in my normal everyday distance glasses (purchased from another source).

5 months in to wearing the new glasses from Coastal, the left temple piece fell off, broken at the seam around the screw.

When trying to get a warranty replacement, I was told that this was due to normal wear and tear according to pictures sent. Or possibly a force event.

There was no force event. I only wear these when sitting at my desk using a computer.

I have worn glasses for 40 years. I know how to treat glasses. And on my everyday glasses, with the same frame, purchased from someone other then Coastal, I have had no issues with this problem for two years.

Coastal customer service was excellent…

Coastal customer service was excellent but USPS turned a simple eyeglasses purchase into a long ordeal.

For the first time

For the first time ,I’m leaving a halfway bad review for this service,why? After almost 5 years of being a loyal customer,I received some defective contact lenses with breaks in the lens ,contacted support and wasn’t very satisfied with their responses to say the least…..glasses also i have purchased with them and no issues ….but my point is,,if a customer is loyal to a company,wouldn’t you think they could be much more supportive?
