Norwich Inside Pets at home
Dangerous company. Unable to contact by phone email or messaging. Cannot get repeat painkiller for dog for over 2 weeks. Dog left in pain. No response at all. AVOID!!
Terrible
I have used companion care in Kidderminster for many years and have always been happy until now, My dog has had a cough for 6 weeks and the fact they think he should now wait another 2 weeks for x-rays when he could have anything from chronic bronchitis, heart condition, pneumonia or cancer is beyond me, i will not leave my dog suffering for another fortnight,
Would give less if I could
Peterborough Companion Care vets, Would give less if I could. Customer service is shoddy, vets are useless and made conditions worse. Unable to diagnose something in a day compared to another vets which managed it in 5 mins. Overpriced and don’t care about the welfare of animals. Take your pet elsewhere if you want to care for them.
Poor service
Poor service
Ordered something and i didn't end up receiving it with no refunds
Awful experience.
Awful. Asked for antibiotics, didn't get them, my dog ended up worse. They should know that a pug with a nasal drip can deteriote quickly, antibiotics is a protocol for secondary infections. It's text book. Then they lied about it and said they don't give antibiotics to pets with viruses which is utter nonsense. All we wanted on Friday was to come back to the practice and get the antibiotic's that we didn't receive on thursday which we asked for. We were told we would need to pay for another consultation ( why after going the day before and asking them for antibiotics)I was then told via another message that in so many words they need the money. So they've not given my dogs antibiotics knowing too well we would have to come back and pay more. Complete money grabbers. Rude on the phone and via a message. No empathy at all. Vet seemed to struggle and waffled something that because he was a pug she couldn't hear his lung function. Didn't seem pet friendly at all and certainly not client friendly. With so many bad reviews I'm taking this further. I'll be calling their head office with their screen shot reply from last night and will be calling the royal veterinary collage to complain. All we wanted was to come back and receive antibiotics that we actually should've been given on Thursday afternoon without having to pay a consultation fee again. Awful service. I'm actually shocked they can treat people and animals like this. Never have I come across a vet practice like this in my whole time of owning pets. I've worked in a vets. I do know a thing or two! Very upset. We went to this practice and paid money for a service we didn't get and then to ask for money to bring our poor dog back and for what if they don't give antibiotics to dogs with viruses which btw kennel is.. a virus!!!!? My dog has clinical signs of kennel cough. The vet was dismissive and seemed like she didn't have a clue and didn't listen to me at all. The whole experience has been upsetting. We've only recently moved back to London after loosing our business in Spain due to covid. We trusted these people to help our dog. They didn't and we've now to somehow to get him to another vet tomorrow with money we simply haven't got at the moment. All we wanted was antibiotics. Not a crime and all we wanted is not pay a second consultation fee after paying out already. Seemed very fair that we could bring him back and pay for antibiotics but not a second consultation fee for an already bad service! So my advice to anyone. Skip this so called vet practice. You'll end up out of pocket and a sick animal. I'm so upset.
Brentford - Pets at home (companion care) - Took my bunny’s life
I wouldn’t give a star.. we took Robin (bunny) with a condition of loss of appetite and he was treated in intensive care (on 26/03/2021 at Brentford centre). Before we transferred him to the recovery centre (Vets Now) in Harrow, we were told an email has been sent to them about which type of medication they need to administer. But when we arrived there they didn't have a clue about our arrival and no email has been sent to them. Brentford centre was closed by this time and there was no way to get back to them. Vets Now took Robin in and put him on fluids overnight. No prescribed medication was given as they haven't received any email. By morning today (27/03/2021), his health deteriorated further. He passed away this morning. We are devastated. The vet said he had good chances to survive and it went downhill from there.
Avoid this place at all cost
Avoid this place at all cost, would not even call them a Vet! Misdiagnosed my dog and delayed him getting the specialist treatment he needed, the caused much distress to my dog and us and huge extra cost, and the delay almost cost my dogs life, customer service is shocking, won't listen to complaints and won't do anything to rectify, just lies and cover up, they are only care about one thing - Money! Would not give them any stars if possible.
Companion Care Vets are incredible
Companion Care Vets are incredible. I have been going to them for several years now and have always had excellent treatment. Most particularly in the last few weeks when my dog had to have a big operation to have his spleen removed and biopsy for the lump.Evderything was explained to me in great detail and the operation was a huge success. David (the vet) went beyond the call of duty in ringing me on a Sunday evening to give me the fantastic news that all the tests were clear. Very happy owner and also vey happy dog
My seven year old dog had a hepatitis…
My seven year old dog had a hepatitis in his ear companion care took him in to drain it out and then come out without the job being done to then tell me my dog maybe aggressive and they need to put him to sleep and in total it would be about £700, I left the vets that day thinking about it after I had already paid out £150 that day for antibiotics.
After going to a local vet near me today my dog had his ear drained and in total the whole procedure cost me £40, had Ralph my my dog needed an operation the new vet said it wouldn’t cost over £300 let alone £700 total rip-off company!!!!!
Apparently I’m unethical for taking my animals here....
UPDATE-
Happy to Update that the practice manager has since called and resolved all issues encountered here. As they say a business is only as good as how it deals with its failures. Compliments to Paul for dealing with this quickly, efficiently and promptly. As a company if there is an issue or concern they take things seriously and address them in a good time frame. Thanks again Paul.
Called and advised £160 fee to register over the weekend. Called back to verify and book appointment, we had an active registration for another animal and was advised this animal could simply be added on, no need for the fee! Brilliant. Booked, attended appointment. Got charged the £160 extra on paying. When queried I was called unethical for taking my pet to them as they’re not my normal vets who couldn’t fit us in quicker and aren’t open over the weekend! Absolutely disgusting, and to be outright called unethical from the receptionist for seeking medical attention for the animal rather than waiting longer before taking to normal vet is disgusting.
companion care portsmouth English Springer Spaniel
wouldn't even get this star. All the time my pet was registered and attended this surgery i had a dilemma with the vets. i usually administered nose vaccine to my dog and they gave me no confidence in the way they handled my dog at all. They always tried to sell me products after every appointment and even tried to bill me 800 pound to clean my dogs teeth, yakers dog chew done the job for a tenner. My dog attended the surgery from puppy to 6 years old and eventually due to covid and knowing that they had no confidence in handling my dog i unregistered him. My new vet however is excellent with him and has given me back my confidence if he falls ill.
Companion Care Northampton
Companion Care Northampton!
Very disappointed in quality of care and overall service. Given a negative review via their customer service after a recent visit. I then received an email about taking my animals care elsewhere! No call nothing and on top of having the vac4life which is non transferable! Highly recommend not taking the vac4life as if you dare to use our freedom of speech you will be kicked out! Also heard they have been difficult on care to my neighbour pet...!!!

Totally unacceptable in times of lockdown
Chippenham Branch - Wouldn't Touch Again With A Barge Pole!!
Lets just say. When a brand new customer gets issued a never before used product on any patient's animal and the veterinary surgeon (Amy Blackmore) applies it NOT per the manufacturers instructions and then REFUSES to call you back, saying she doesn't have time. It is TIME to never go back to that practice again.
I was absolutely disgusted with my first patient appointment here. Amy was very unprofessional in the approach to my dog. Extremely rushed. Unprepared to explain anything about the various things that I asked her and did not offer me the Pet Health Plans who's product I was specifically asking to buy and could have actually saved me some money . £211.52 later...An extremely poor example of a so called caring vet for a less than a ten minute timed appt. If this young lady carry's on in this manner, well lets just say...I will definitely not be going back. I will NEVER use this practice again and I would recommend that nobody else does either. What a shame I feel that I have to write such a terrible review. I thought this lady was supposed to be good. In my experience, she definitely is NOT! I never want contact with this practice ever again. Amy don't even try to bother contacting me!! I was truly shocked and very much disgusted with my first time experience here.

"Do NOT use, if you care about your animal!!!!"
***AVOID THIS VETS SURGERY*** AYLESBURY PETS AT HOME
***AVOID THIS VETS SURGERY***
This vets surgery only cares about profit only. My pet was meant to be neutered and we were basically told your pet doesn’t take priority so you should come and get her. The head nurse (I won’t name her) has zero compassion or care and scared my animal so much by throwing the carrier at us it caused her anxiety and stress which resulted in a puddle of urine in the reception area. She didn’t apologise and gave us the biggest dirtiest look. PAY MORE AND GO ELSEWHERE FOR A BETTER SERVICE AND CARE FOR YOUR PET!
Money is top priority
Just be aware that all charges must be paid up front, even if you have insurance. Not everyone has £500 available and that’s why I had insurance! Also, you do get charged consultation fee every time even if it’s for the same condition. They’d rather I walk out the door with a sick pet than deal with insurance. So sad that money is top priority here. I have found an independent vet happy to go direct with my insurance company. Agria are a well known company so I don’t know why CC won’t deal with them.
Highly recommended
I can not recommend Liv Matz in Companion Care Bridgend enough. She is an amazing vet who tells you as it is with no beating around the bush, she is direct & to the point,& has always correctly diagnosed my dogs. All of her staff are polite, friendly and understanding and always get you an appointment when asked, even if it’s for the same day. Highly recommended will never ever use any other vets, keep up the good work.
No care at all for our guinea pig…
No care at all for our guinea pig useless vets who only want the money.Prescot and St.Helens branches.
Norwich Longwater
Shocking service from the branch at Norwich Longwater. The reception is chaotic and leaves you on hold for ages if you phone. Our dogs medication kept getting messed up over the few years we tolerated being at this practice. Its also a pain that you can never see the same vet, its always someone different who never reads the notes.
Hugely dissapointed with the service I…
Hugely dissapointed with the service I have received from Companion Care Chippenham. Our dog has been suffering recently and we were recommended a treatment which was prescription only. CC were going to charge £75 for something wehich is avaialble from VET UK for £25, so we requested a prescription only from the vet. They said they wanted a £20 fee to cover their admin fees. What admin?? All they needed to do was fill out a prescription and print it, which would take 5 mins. That suggests on a cost per minute basis that their vets are on a circa £500k a year!! I suggested they either substantiate the costs of their fees or reduce them to a more proportiante figure (SPVS recommends circa £10), otherwise the £20 fee I would be paying them for the prescription would be the last penny they received from me. CC preferred to stick with their unsubstatianted fees but when I explained the options I was proposing instead they told me they wouldn't even now offer me the prescription so that our dog is still going untreated.. VERY sad to see they place profit over and above animal welfare. Oh and just to top off the whole lack of service and bad experience the receptionists are prety chippy too. They talk to you as if you're an enormous inconvenieince, and that they'd rather be doing something else instead. Do youself a favour and go somewhere they actually treat you and your pets appropriately.
