NACA has been a great experience so far. I have been able to advance quickly to become NACA qualified to purchase my first. All I can say is trust in the process and don't get discouraged. You will not regret it in the end!!

I'm very grateful to be able to go through the process of starting to buy a home with the help of the NACA, homebuyer's program. my counselor has been very informative and attentive to answering my questions. I look forward to being a homeowner, I hope to close on a home before the year is up. I will add that anyone looking to go through the process, note, it requires patience and being able to commit to the process. Good luck to all and may you all find your forever home.

During the home-buying process, it is crucial to collaborate with the NACA home counselors and adhere to their guidance. Regarding what we needed to accomplish, our counselors were incredibly informed and knowledgeable. Whenever we had queries or encountered obstacles that we needed assistance overcoming, she made sure to inform us that we could get in touch with her. Even though it took a while, we knew it would be worthwhile in the end.

My experience with the Raleigh NACA office was a little overwhelming at first, but overall very positive. The process has many steps, and I felt unsure in the beginning. Thankfully, the team was attentive and explained things in a way that made it easier to understand.

I’m not even sure were to start, but I feel so blessed to be doing this through NACA and Mr Daniel Tobias and thank God my family and I feel safe and everything is working well.

I attended the NACA housing workshop in Columbia, South Carolina this past March, and I’m truly grateful for the experience. The workshop was informative, well-organized, and incredibly empowering. As someone who is working toward homeownership, I found the guidance provided to be clear and practical.

The presenters broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand, especially for first-time homebuyers. They covered everything from budgeting and credit to the steps in NACA’s homebuying process. I appreciated how transparent and honest the team was about the timeline and requirements—it gave me realistic expectations and a roadmap to follow.

Most importantly, the atmosphere was supportive and encouraging. It’s clear that NACA is committed to helping people become homeowners without predatory lending or hidden fees. It also helps you realize where you can cut costs and save to help make your dream of becoming a homebuyer possible. The workshop left me feeling more confident and motivated to take the next steps in my journey.

If you're serious about becoming a homeowner and want real support, I highly recommend attending one of NACA’s workshops.

NACA was referred to me by a friend's mom and it seemed all too good to be true but, seeing that she's went through the program herself, I trusted it. NACA is everything it says it is, a first-time home buyer program made simple and affordable. Provides an easy to fill out and manage portal system to track spending, budgets, debts, and other relevant info necessary to become qualified within the program. You're given a counselor that's available, via email or phone to answer questions regarding the process alongside the general NACA services line to help with other issues if needed. Everyone is extremely kind and understanding and makes sure your issue is resolved at the end of each call. I have not had one negative experience thus far and I doubt I will going forward. I am extremely hopeful for my future and excited for what is next, all thanks to NACA's easy and supportive home buyers' program.

Went to the NACA Workshop on May 31, 2025. The seminar was very informative. I started the process and although it seems very tedious, I believe it will be well worth it. My counselor, Kimberly Burkhalter, is very knowledgable and is guiding me through the process. I can't wait to become a NACA homeowner!

My homebuying process with NACA has been a learning experience. I now understand a lot of things better and changing things around while I'm going through the process. My counselor has been helpful, and I can't wait for the day when I'll receive the key to my future home.

Naca is a great program for first time home buyers. Naca helps you prepare the documents needed for a home purchase and assist with organization and financial monitoring. The mortgage counselor, Ms. Ellen Petersen is very informative and knowledgeable of the home buying process. She is professional, kind and accessible. Iḿ hoppy to have been paired with her to help guide me through the home purchasing process.

No down payment, no closing cost. The process can be long and tedious, but it’s worth it. Thanks to my counselor Ellen for being patient, and explaining the process in a professional manner.

Id like to start by saying Ellen Petersen is so helpful. She made me more excited than ever. She was very helpful through out the entire process. Even though I am at the tail end of my process, she is very efficient & responds to all your questions. I am very excited to be a home owner.

So far, my experience with the NACA mortgage program has been positive. Our agent has been fantastic—very responsive and helpful throughout the process. While the list of required documents is extensive, it's manageable with good communication. Initially, categorizing three months of expenses felt overwhelming, but once we learned it only applied to checking and savings accounts (not credit cards), it became much more straightforward. Looking forward to continuing the journey with NACA.

NACA Update!
We’ve officially found a house and are now in our 30-day escrow! The process is definitely not for the faint of heart — be prepared for a laundry list of documents to send in and lots of emails flying back and forth between NACA, your realtor, and the title company. That said, we feel very fortunate. Our NACA counselor knows the program inside and out and has been incredibly helpful at every step. Plus, we have a realtor who’s been willing to learn and adapt right along with us, which has made a huge difference.

My mortgage counselor Ellen Petersen is absolutely wonderful. She helps me set goals as well as motivates me. She wants me to get my house just as much as I do. It makes the entire process much easier when you have such a caring person like Ellen in your corner. I am so glad I decided to enrolled in the NACA program. I am so close to qualifying to buy my first home. Thank you Ellen for all you do!

I am currently working with NACA to purchase my first ever home! I have an amazing counselor, Nati who has been very proactive and diligent with everything since the beginning of this journey. I feel more confident about my homebuying experience due to all the guidance provided by her and the team at NACA. All of what this program has to offer is a huge part in my decision to purchase a home at this time. The process has been a lot less stressful than I anticipated due to all the help and guidance I have received. I would recommend this organization to anyone who is looking to purchase a home, and needs someone to help breakdown the process and help keep you on track.

My wife and I attended a Naca workshop in March that was full of information. My wife went into the office to do some paperwork but has vision issues and was helped by Barbara at the front desk. Every person we have met has been so helpful. We are currently working with Daniel Ortiz who walked us through the process and answered so many questions.

Today was my first virtual meeting with my counselor, Gladys. She was very helpful and specific about what additional documents were needed. I also appreciate her quick response to emails. I am looking forward to continuing this process, and I hope to be a homeowner soon!
