Working with Miguel Correa as my NACA…
Working with Miguel Correa as my NACA counselor was a positive and productive experience. He was knowledgeable, patient, and responsive throughout the process. Miguel took the time to explain each step clearly, kept me informed, and helped me stay on track with the necessary documents and requirements. His professionalism and dedication made a complex process feel manageable. I truly appreciated his support and guidance.
The NACA program is such a great
The NACA program is such a great resource for anyone thinking about buying a home! I’m going through the process myself, and my counselor Ellen has been amazing. She’s always on top of making sure everything gets submitted on time and helps coordinate everything when things get a bit tangled. I’m excited about this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes me!
What an amazing organization!
I have wanted to be a homeowner for as long as I can remember, but growing up in California without family assistance or an inheritance, it simply hasn't been possible. My friend who works in the mortgage industry told me about NACA a few years back and it all sounded too good to be true, so I brushed it off. Recently I decided to give it a go. Watching the video about how they advocate for homeowners was inspiring and resonated with me, I figured even if I didn't end up a homeowner I wanted to be involved. I did the courses and paperwork and recently met with my Mortgage Counselor, and it has been such an amazing experience! I am now on the road to fulfilling this life-long dream due to NACA's guidelines making it so easy for someone like me to qualify for a mortgage. I make decent money and have perfect rental history, my issue is not being able to save up tens of thousands for a down payment needed for a traditional mortgage. That is not a requirement for NACA's purchase program. I plan on doing more volunteer work for this amazing organization and am beyond elated that I will be a homeowner this year.

My experience with NACA has been great and they have been able to work with me as best as possible in order for me to obtain the perfect property. My counselor has been very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase their first home!
My experience was misleading and horrible
Hello for starters I recently filed bankruptcy so I called NACA office and specifically asked if I could do the program the lady put me and hold to get some assistance with my question came back and said if you filed 13 you can’t until your discharge would could take 3 or more years but if you did 7 and your discharge you can and we can help you she also encouraged me too complete the application process and pay the fees so I did and waited months to speak with a counselor finally got my meeting last week and after about a hour she tells me that NACA can’t help me for at the minimum 2 years by law I explained to her that I was told by an associate that you guys could help I felt mislead all the intrusive information I put into the portal to be told there’s nothing they could do so disappointed I feel like this company wants way too much control over you for paying the closing cost and guaranteeing you your monthly payment stays the same it kind of reminded me of how welfare use too treat people year’s ago my counselor was professional and respectful and another thing your credit score does matter they watch it like any other lender would so very misleading my experience was horrible
I recently started my road to ownership…
I recently started my road to ownership through the NACA program. My counselor Katya Walker is an experienced professional and has provided me with so much advice and information throughout this process. The NACA program provides assistance for those of us who may not have believed that homeownership was possible. I look forward to making my dream of homeownership come true through the NACA program.
I have recently started homeownership
I have recently started my journey towards homeownership, and the process is exciting, overwhelming, and intimidating.
Early on in my research, I am happy to have discovered the NACA housing program which has been proven to be a structured and supportive path toward homeownership.
From the moment I signed up, I was guided through each step, beginning with the Homebuyer Workshop, which laid out the process clearly and helped me understand what to expect.
The paperwork, documentation, and budgeting phase took some effort, but the online portal made it easier to upload and manage everything.
My NACA Counselor, Ellen Peterson is absolutely amazing. She is thoroughly versed in the innerworkings of the NACA program and has been informative and patient in her explanations in helping me understand what I need to work on financially to be ready to buy a home. I've learned a lot in the process of homeownership. After one meeting, and completing a few minor follow-up items, I am nearly NACA Qualified. After my meeting, Ellen was very responsive to my email requests for information. I know I am in good hands with her on my team.
As of now, I’m progressing through the qualification phase, and while it’s a process that requires patience and dedication, I feel confident that I’m moving in the right direction. The NACA program is not a quick fix, but it’s a realistic and empowering path to owning a home with no down payment, no closing costs, and a below-market interest rate.
I'm proud of how far I’ve come and look forward to completing the next steps toward becoming a homeowner.
Our home journey….
Our NACA journey has begun and it’s been a long time coming! We attended our first (HBW) seminar on Saturday (03/08/25) via Zoom at home in our living room. Now it doesn’t get much better than that! Upon completion of the seminar, we hit the ground running because we were definitely excited and enlightened with all of the information that we had received. Two weeks later, we were notified via the member portal that our application had been submitted and we would be working with our NACA counselor, Ellen Petersen! Our first encounter took place on (03/28/25), right at home again via Zoom. First of all, let me just start off by saying that Ellen is phenomenal! She loves what she does and she is good at doing it! Ellen is very knowledgeable and professional. She is well aware with the programs (ins and outs, do’s and don’t). She gave us so much insight into the process as we are continuing to move forward. She gave us her honest truth and opinions based on where we were financially. Some things that we were currently doing had to be done differently for the better and others just had to be stopped! She made us take a good look at ourselves and our future goals as it relates to our home ownership! We had to get good with saying the word “NO” because if we didn’t, ultimately, we would never be able to maintain our home investment going forward. You truly have to respect someone who is willing to tell you what you already know but are failing to do so! If you require the help and support of someone who is going to get you financially ready and moving in the right direction, you need Ellen Petersen! Constructive criticism is a wonderful tool when utilized correctly! If you are considering NACA as your Mortgage Broker, you won’t be disappointed! Do not let the challenges deter you from pursuing your dream. You will definitely have to put some “skin in the game”, but it will truly be worth it in the end! Thank you Ellen for taking charge and forcing us to make wiser choices and better decisions when it comes to us and our future! We are there now, moving forward and seeing the results because we “Got good with saying NO”!!!! God bless you ALL for taking your time to help us make our dreams a reality!!!!
Just this weekend my wife and I…
Just this weekend my wife and I officially started our journey to home ownership with NACA. We were assigned to an awesome agent named Ms. Ellen Peterson. We are so pleased to have Ms. Peterson guiding us on this journey. Her knowledge of the process is very evident. She is a stickler to detail and is so very personable. She is very clear with everything we need to do from start to finish to make our dream of home ownership a reality. We are grateful and encouraged to get this done with Ms. Peterson leading us to our victory of home ownership.
My counselor is absolutely amazing

NACA is great…
I was told about the NACA program by coworker. She has purchased a home with NACA. She informed me that it could be a long process and to have patience because it’s the best program. I was assigned Mrs. Ellen Petersen and she has provided me with very detailed information needed during the process. She has been working with me and I’m still going through the process, but I feel confident having Mrs. Petersen as a counselor. Mrs. Petersen is very informative and knowledgeable. I look forward to purchasing my home with NACA. I've had the best experiences, and Mrs. Petersen is very patient, helpful, detailed and thorough. I know with her expertise and dedication I will be in my home very soon.
Life Changing NACA Conference
I attended a NACA conference on February 8, 2025 at Journey Church in Columbia, SC, and the presenter Ms. Sharlene Slater was very informative, straightforward, and to the point. Not only that, but she was also encouraging and told those of us who were in attendance that if we put the work in, then we can make our dream of home ownership a reality.
WOW!
Wow! I attended the FREE Home Buyer Workshop today and I must say I genuinely enjoyed it. It was filled with so much valuable information. I left feeling like I will be provided all the necessary tools and resources with this program to become a successful homeowner. I am looking forward to taking the next steps with NACA.
I attended the NACA workshop on today…
I attended the NACA workshop on today and I thoroughly enjoyed the information I was given. They truly clarified the step by step process they take to help each individual become a homeowner. One thing that absolutely stuck with me was to “move in silence.” I am excited about embarking on this journey to home ownership.
Awesome Counselor
During my whole NACA process I have had the most helpful counselor. My experience has been long, but working with Tamika has been awesome. She is here to help all her clients get into a new house. She will make sure you understand the process from beginning to end. I look forward in soon getting approved and owning my new home.
