I am a photographer in Corinth, MS. I enjoy slowing down to shoot film and knowing that once a month I can have cool and interesting films arrive at my home to try out is completely worth the cost.

My subscription was cancelled with no reason why. I’ve not received a refund or any film. I’ve yet to receive an email with any explanation or update.

Interesting collection of films recently changed from the 35mm to the 120mm package and am excited to see what I get next!

Excellent product with a fast and friendly service

The good: film is delivered every month, and it is always a treat to see what's been delivered! They also consolidated both my 120 and 35mm orders when I added a subscription, so it's still just one box. The info is clear and concise, and it's exactly as advertised.

The website is sometimes a touch confusing, though that may just be me. Sometimes the film is fairly conventional, easy to get stocks - but it also can't be easy to get rare/interesting stuff every month!

Overall, if you like shooting film, it's probably the most convenient way to try new stocks and new types of film. And if you're like me and don't shoot as much as you'd like, you'll rarely ever need to supplement your supply - I've not bought film from other suppliers for several months now, but again I can't shoot as much as I'd like at the moment. It is pricy, but I think very good value.

A couple of bumps along the way but I have had a great selection of film. They do answer their Instagram messages very quickly, if you need to get in touch with customer service.

You pay 22.95 pounds for 2 random rolls with shipment to Germany which is great.
There is no tracking so beware of that.
Your package can contain everything from expired rolls to rare rolls which you didn’t know even existed.
If you want to try new rolls and be surprised every month I throughly recommend CoolFilm.

While the concept behind coolfilm was excellent, and the customer service was top-notch, I've had consistent problems with the shipping and receiving of my films and will not be renewing my subscription. After the first box of film was delivered on time, every other box has been at least a month late, and I have had to contact customer service several times to remind them that I am expecting a box of film to be delivered. Having now paid 5 times, and receiving only 3 boxes of film (2 of which were each over a month late), I have been very disappointed. If the shipping timeline and commitment to delivering on their promises improves then I am sure this will be a very successful service. However, as it stands and based on my own experience I cannot recommend taking out a subscription.

So, I signed up for a 6 month subscription, after which I received no confirmation of a date by which my film would be shipped. When I emailed Cool Film to inquire, I received no response until I reached out on Instagram, threatening to reverse the charges on my credit card. I also received no tracking number. Thankfully, someone responded on Instagram and gave me an update on my purchase. I received my film in early February.

I signed up for this 6 month subscription back in December and have since only received one month's worth of film, so I log on to see what the deal is, and my originally selected 6 month subscription has been changed to a single transaction.

I got this as a gift for my girlfriend, and she was super excited. I'm really bummed that this subscription service turned out as poorly. You have a fantastic concept, but I feel the execution and the customer service could be greatly improved.
