Don’t be a food delivery courier for them.

I have experience as a taxi driver so I know my area really well. Just Eat and their app seemed like a good idea but it absolutely was not. The app took up so much of my time to set up. The links they sent didn’t work for my ID. I went round in circles. Spoke to 2 people from the link I’d been sent but they were the wrong company! Just Eat is a shambles to even get a job with. I’ve got experience, a vehicle and the correct insurance but their system is so bad and without any support options that after 2 days of going around in circles, click this link, change your password, password not recognised, email not recognised etc…I gave up and deleted my app and they will never make a penny from me for deliveries and also any future purchases. Not a single penny of my money will go to this company or the restaurants or fast food outlets they deliver for. NO WAY! A terrible experience for an experienced driver. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM.
Edit- apparently you need to have google chrome on your phone for the biometric app to work.

Cheap and corrupt to their drivers

I’m a courier for just eat and have been offering my services to them for over a year now, today I had the biggest slap in the face from them yet. I travelled 10 miles up the road for a delivery in a place called Newtownards, where I received a ping while in transit, I never looked at the driver pay( something I will never ever do again), and arrived at Iceland for a grocery delivery about 3 miles away. When I delivered the groceries I got back into my van to find that they had costed me 0.85pence.. I am not kidding you one bit 0.85pence. Which included an 11pence bonus.. wtf…be aware of this corrupt business, I believe they are being pulled over the coals now by the government for FALSE reviews of there company. They have went bad to worse, absolutely disgusting with that driver pay, my fault to, I should have frigging checked…

JUST EAT USED TO FAIL TO SUPPORT DRIVERS WHEN ORDER IS STUCK!!!!

Whenever there is a problem with collecting an order maybe late at night or weekends the live support chat just does not work and it leaves the driver stuck assigned to an order that cannot be collected

He then tries contacting live customer support and sends message after message without any response

THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND MAY EVEN BE ILLEGAL

Update maybe Just Eat is reading these reviews even though they don't reply. Just recently April 2026 or sooner there now is an extra function to allow the removal of an order either accepted by mistake or presumably in case we are sent to a closed restaurant. WELL DONE Just Eat and well done TrustPilot for allowing us to share and help others.

Not the right company to order from

Not the right company to order from, had ordered from them once and restaurant sent wrong items. Didn’t refund.

Now started using them to deliver and they sent me to a parking where I was charged more than what they were paying me for delivery. When complained they say I should follow parking rules. Fraud company. Don’t order from them, don’t work for them

Tried contacting just eat no avail. In fact I had to go fork out another 22.75 so we could get fed. I am 22.75 out of pocket. I want that refunded.

Tehy have no call centre only a BOT that says it cant answer your issue!!!

Its a good idea and Ive ordered many times from them........both Grocery and takeaway There haev been a few times when an order has not arrived and a couple weeks ago food deleivery driver wouldnt leave my food order as i could not find or give him the code they give you online,,,,,,,,,,,,I understand this but it was very frustrating and I still got billed for all the food i never had!! They are notorioulsy hard to contact and then you do Its an automated BOT and/or they havent got the exact problem listed ........i think Ive now given them about £90 or more...............for nothing!!! There doesnt appear to be a call centre and therefore they can avoid paying whats owed........Im extremely annoyed that they dont take responsibility by being easy to get hold of...................Im not sure if I will use them unless I get my money back

Try Another Delivery Service

Probably the worst support and app/site you can get.

Honestly, I don't know where to start, their support is brain dead and could not care less, obviously outsourced somehwere as they will legit not read what you are saying and just close your support chat. They will send you a link to a generic support page on their site that is not even related to your issue, and that's if the link even works. I've gone through so many agents, and not one has bothered to properly help, hence why I'm here writing a bad review as they've peeved me off so much.

As for the app and website, it's a pure buggy, broken mess. I had to fight with it for days to get fully signed up. Even now that I am fully signed up i still can't get certain parts working as the website will just go into a broken loop when trying to order a thermal bag. Also, don't get me started on the amount of ID checks they do, like I'm convinced now they know what my blood type is and how many hairs are on my backside, the amount of bull they make you go through.

Save yourself hassle and singup to one of the other devliery apps, I can tell they will be a pain to work for, that's if you can get the stupid app setup right...

just eat vs uber eats -courier experience review

Overall, the Just Eat courier app is fairly functional, with accurate location pinpoints and a generally usable interface. However, when compared to Uber Eats, the drawbacks are more noticeable.

Key Issues with Just Eat:

Sign-up Promotion Transparency

A £120 promotional incentive was advertised prior to signing up, which initially encouraged me to join. However, the terms were not clearly explained during onboarding. I later discovered that the promotion required completion of 25 deliveries and was apparently limited to specific locations. The lack of clarity around this incentive was disappointing.

Customer Support Availability

Customer support has been extremely difficult to reach. Despite sending five emails and attempting to contact support through online chat on three occasions, I have yet to receive any response regarding my concerns.

Order Allocation Issues

On one occasion, I was dispatched to collect an order from a Co-op store that had already closed. The store closes at 11:00pm, yet I was sent there at 11:45pm. The app was slow to respond, resulting in unnecessary time wasted.

Overall Experience

In comparison, my experience with Uber Eats has been significantly better, particularly in terms of pay and support reliability. While Just Eat still offers a decent service and is usable as a courier platform, the lower pay and operational issues affect the overall experience.

Lack of respect, empathy and care

I arrived on time to collect two orders at the restaurant and waited nearly 20 minutes while other drivers came and left. Only then did the staff tell me it would take another 15–20 minutes, like my time meant nothing. I contacted Just Eat support at 20:25 and got no reply until the next morning. Drivers can’t even cancel collections ourselves — we’re forced to wait and depend on slow support. No empathy, no respect, and no control over our own time. And in the end, we are the ones blamed by customers and take all the frustration, even when the problem is not our fault.

Be careful. They are dangerous

Security have reviewed the CCTV footage and have seen that multiple parcels was stolen by someone dressed as a Just Eat courier who was let into the building by a resident at 13:12 on the 3rd of October. Once leaving the building they proceeded to enter William Baffin carpark where they put the parcels into a bag. Then climbed over the fence between Esther and Gerrard before leaving site at the back of Esther Building. CCTV footage has been saved.

I will let the police know that every movement the just eat courier made can be seen on CCTV and the footage has been saved and can be collected by them at any time.

Just Eat Courier Recruitment Process HELL …

This is a vent and a review specifically about the RECRUITMENT process to become a Just Eat courier .

They literally do not help you through the process. They will respond to an email a day or two later with THE vaguest and non applicable information you can imagine

After jumping through many hoops in this endless portal, authentication, automated profess that made me want to smash my phone to pieces. I am now just being constantly sent on a DEAD LINK LOOP my Just Eat !!!!

After authenticating my identity using biometrics which I wasn’t happy with but did it anyway. I am NO further along in being employed by them!!

Why on gods green EARTH is it so difficult to deliver food???

I do not wish to get political but I have to ask the question…how the HELL are people who are new to the UK and struggle with English getting through this process??? Seriously??? How???

How do they even PASS a criminal background check ??? Or identify themselves???

I have lived here all my life and I feel like a complete alien just trying to authenticate myself and Just Eat are doing absolutely NOTHING to help other than to perpetuate this dead link LOOP!!!!

INFURIATING !!!!!! 😡

I’ve had multiple issues recently with Just Eat’s courier customer service, and unfortunately, each interaction has left me more frustrated than the last. The customer service often feels dismissive, and responses seem copy-pasted rather than tailored to the issue at hand.

Worst ever courier company

Worst ever customer support, no phone number for drivers queries, only useless form or email address on which they don't even response.

My account has been suspended due to expired driving license, which is completely false, as it is valid until 2028.

Couriers website is showing me error, whenever I am trying to add a document, check earning or bank details.

Trash rates, high mileages, long waiting times at restaurant, and useless live chat which most of the time is not even responding !!!

Avoid at all cost.

Unhappy waiting for a thermal bag I purchased to be received

I signed up to the courier to be a delivery driver in March 2015, it took 2 months for my checks to go through and I pre-paid for a thermal bag.
When I was finally approved on 3/5/25 the bag should have been sent to me.
I have been chasing them since but after 5 or so emails they finally approved when I cc’d the CEO (Jitse Groen) and finally received a response. I was then told to submit form through the app but this was hard to find.
I am unable to start working for them as you need a thermal bag to collect the customers order from a restaurant.
I find it hard to believe that this is taking so long. Do they not care about their staff or even customers?
I am still waiting a response but I don’t hold any breath.
I have also noticed that no responses have been received from just eat couriers to previous negative reviews
