Hi I bought a covatar dehumidifier recently, the product doesn't work at all,you can run it for days without it collecting a drop of water,even in really humid conditions. I contacted covatar regarding returning this useless product but they will not let me know their returns procedure,and they don't want to refund my money, I don't believe this to be a UK company it's a Chinese company.please stay clear of this company and product,you'll regret it if you don't.

Its scam company, it wont work and you dont get refund

As many other victims have posted, this company is a total scam.

I recently purchased 2 of their units and will admit that the initial mistake was mine as I wanted de-humidifiers that work at low temperatures.
EG units that work with a desiccant disc. The Covetar units (if they work) are using condenser technology which does not work at low temperatures.
Anyway, believing that I was dealign with a UK based company and one that valued it's reputation, I wrote to them asking about their returns policy.
Within hours I had a reply saying that I would have to return the units to China. They claimed that this is clear on their website. Having spent the best part of a morning going over their .co.uk website, I can find no mention that the units must be returned to China.
There is a lot about restocking fees and any damage in transit would negate any refund. So much so, that I formed the opinion that damage must be so common when returning these units to China (even in the original packing) that it was unlikely that I would actually see any refund.
Plus be out of pocket for trying to send them both back to China.
Like others, I was offered a 5% discount to keep the units, which I was declined as I would rather take this matter to trading standards. I bought in good faith, from a company that I believed was UK based and one that would honour its legal liabilities under the 14 day on-line returns regulations.
So, like many others, I can only say DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SHARKS!

Ordered a dehumidifier from this company, on the 10th Feb 2025, it arrived fairly quick, but needed to return the item (unused and unopened). However after 4 times of requesting a return address I still never received the return details, instead I was met with how much of a "hassle" it would be as they would have to deduct a delivery fee, customs fee, and that I would have to return it to China at my cost, (despite it being dispatched for a UK address), I was also advised that if they deemed it to be "damaged" on its return then no refund would be issued and the item would not be returned to me either... I was instead asked to keep the item and give it as "a gift" to someone and they would offer me a 5% refund (£6.90) to keep it, in the end I gave up trying and I am out of pocket £138. Do yourselves a favour and stay clear of this company.

Just doesn't work had on constantly for a month 2 cm water in tank borrowed another off friend different brand tank full after 1 night just avoid

Tried it in 3 different places (1 being a wardrobe) for
16 hours in each and collected 2mm of water in total.

This company is a scam DO NOT BUY. They have traded for a long time under different names. They sell non-functioning junk. They send out automatic emails. A great many and they will drive you insane as well as taking your money. You must repeatedly stat that the item is faulty and you want a refund. Over and over so that your bank are able to gwt your money returned. The scam doesn't count. Just you want to send the faulty item back and ask for a return address. It is appalling that no one seems to be able to stop them.

This is a sham company do not buy this they have scammed so many people see facebook group all been scammed. Do not trust tech shack advert it all false unfortunately do not get had

We bought this product in November 2024. In January 2025 we switched it on. There was a spark and then our electrics blew. It was then dead. When we contacted covatar/raveno uk they sent my wife an email asking her to send them a video.Quite ridiculous. Reporting to trading standards. Latest update: got an email from them with computerised English which I could not even understand.

One month after first contacting Covatar and 40 emails later they offered me a 20% refund and still will not provide a return address.

Read bad reviews. Tried to cancel immediately. No response from website. No acknowledgement of order. Parcel arrived.Tried to contact support via email to return. You have to send to Covatar not Covata. No response. I have returned parcel unopened. This is not a UK based company, Do not buy. Trading standards should shut it down

Again. I'm another customer that didn't read the reviews of this awful company. Although I received the goods, the product wasn't as I'd expected and wished to return. Although they were expecting me to ship the item back to China and they were trying to get me to keep a product I did not want.

Any positive reviews on here are fake. This is a scam company that sell products that are not fit for purpose. They are posing as a UK company but are in fact Chinese. They will not respect UK consumer laws. They will not provide a return address. If you buy, you will only get your money back if you go through your payment provider.

Scam company. Ordered before Christmas, sadly did not read the reviews. As the product was taking too long to arrive I asked them to cancel my order. This then incurred a £40 'rejection' fee! I have been emailing constantly, its like talking to a robot. Trying to find a company director and address.

There should be a different rating system for scammers. This scamming company sells toy dehumidifiers. It doesn’t work, but has nice lightings. A toy. I requested a refund and the address where to return the item. They ignored by replying that it is normal for dehumidifier to extract 1 litre of water per day, that I have to run it 24 hours and keep room temperature over 18 degrees. They earn their money by replying scammed customers. The length they go! And an effort! I should give more stars for effort to reply emails! People! Avoid!!! I was caught by reading product review on the other site, and didn’t check trustpilot… most likely they are not even in the uk.

As per many other reviews, this company from China are scammers - they are selling dehumidifier units that do not work. They are constantly changing their company name, I guess so that they can continue to con people out of their hard earned money. I purchased a dehumidifier from them when they were Raveno UK... now they are Covatar selling the same rubbish product. When I requested to return they never provide a return address or any information on how to return.
The positive reviews on here must be made up.

Bought this dehumidifier after reading good reviews. As with other customers it does not work. Customer service is shocking and despite sending loads of emails requesting the return address ‘Jacob’ still hasn’t given me one. Please do not waste your money on the fake company. I am still trying to get my money back through my credit card company

I usually check reviews before purchasing but for some reason didn't on this occasion. I trusted the search site reviews. Never again! I had to give one star, if I could give ) I would. The product is useless and although the company name is Covatar UK returns have to go to China while you pay all taxes etc. I doubt you would actually get a refund anyway. Absolute rubbish piece of expensive equipment!!
