This company is a scam do not join
This company is a scam do not join. They are dishonest. I signed up at Sam's there was a table. It was told 1.00 for first month than 15.98 a month. The first month charge 19.98 and this month 84.00. I was never told about this. They will not refund it. I was wondering how they could afford to have all those people selling when not even opened yet. Well they planed to steal from their customers.
Horrible class cancellation policy.

Would give it a zero if i could
Would give it a zero if i could, went im to the Hackettstown club to downgrade, the woman downgraded and assured me that there will be no other fees as I had already paid a annual fee well I just got charged a annual fee don’t go to this gym they charge extra fees hope they shut it down for overcharging people don’t trust with your cards on file.
FORNEY location
I applied to work at Crunch, at a different location. For some reason, Forney also called me and set me up an interview. I was expecting a 1-on-1, how interviews should be.
Group interview in a horrid, hot, cramped trailer. The position I applied for was an on site position. They tell the group that it's actually door-to-door sales. They try to word it as it's not d-t-d, but I quickly said something about it and left. Unfortunately they still had my paper copy resume, and they also had my information from my online application.
They chose to ILLEGALLY sign me up to their membership and their spam messages. I never once agreed to any membership or text messages. Not verbally, not through text or email. I never gave consent to use my information.
I have also been informed that this location runs separately from the other Crunch gyms. If you don't appreciate the lack of transparency but still want to work with them, I suggest another location.
My previous review on Google Review was taken down by the owner, and as I said in that review I'd be posting on other sites.
They are currently having people post 5 star reviews when they sign up for a membership. This entire business is a scam. Look at the other reviews. How ridiculous. My date of experience is not the exact date, as I am trying to keep my privacy.
I also have a screenshot of their spam number texting me, if this site allows me to upload it alongside the review, I will.
Dirty & Broken Machines
Location: North Brunswick, NJ. This location is beyond dirty, inches of dust are piled up on every surface and on the vents and fans. Machines are always broken and attachments are always missing. No one makes sure anything gets put back in the right place so it’s always an adventure to find pre-weighted and regular barbells and plates of the same weight. The front desk will say one thing about membership prices but then my statement will say another. This gym is not worth the money and time because you will be struggling to find everything you need and machines that work properly to finish your workout.
Horrible front desk and gym management
This is by far the dirtiest gym I’ve seen in the entire area. The equipment, locker rooms, and showers are constantly in poor condition and clearly not maintained properly. It honestly feels like management doesn’t care about cleanliness or the experience of their members.
The front desk staff (the girl working Tuesday around 10 PM and the guy who said he was her boss) were extremely unwelcoming and rude. They spoke in a very aggressive and threatening manner and were clearly misrepresenting the information in the contract. Instead of helping or explaining things professionally, they tried to intimidate and confuse the situation. This kind of behavior from staff is completely unacceptable.
The management is also very misleading. Their main goal is to sell you a membership at any cost, and once you sign up, they make it extremely difficult to cancel. They keep charging your card month after month even when you try to get out of the membership.
I would strongly recommend staying away from this place. There are many better, cleaner, and more honest gyms in the area.
Crunch fitness Land O Lakes Sucks
This company can go blow. Don't even bother wasting your time dealing with Crunch fitness on Collier Parkway in Land O Lakes. I did everything right to cancel membership. THEY made a error, kept charging me for 3 months then did NOTHING to resolve. Can't even talk to a manager. This location is a joke. They screwed my son as well. I am reporting them to BBB as well as reviewing sites. STAY AWAY

I opened a membership with Crunch. Overall, I actually like the gym and until now I had not experienced any issues. I had a Crunch membership in the past and never had any problems, which is why this situation was so disappointing.
This past Tuesday I noticed that I was charged more than what I was supposed to be charged for my membership. I went to speak with the person responsible for handling these matters at the gym, Alex, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time. Unfortunately the way he treated us was extremely unprofessional. From the beginning he had a arrogant attitude and didn’t even want to properly look at my account to understand the issue.Instead of helping resolve the situation, he told me that if I was not happy with my membership I could simply cancel it. His tone and attitude were confrontational. At one point he told my boyfriend that he was taking the situation personally and that our complaint was directed at him rather than the company. This response was inappropriate and disrespectful.
I have worked in customer service my entire life, and I believe that someone in a managerial position should focus on resolving customer concerns, Instead, Alex appeared to be looking for conflict rather than trying to help. Alex mentioned that he was a friend of the “CEO of Crunch” and therefore took the situation personally. This comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. This was honestly a very unpleasant experience. I hope that this matter can be reviewed and that Alex receives guidance to improve his attitude when dealing with customers. Someone working in customer service should be focused on professionalism and respect.
Based on Horrible genuine experience !!
Based on genuine experience , Horrible business!!
I tried to cancel membership for reason "LACK OF USE" in early January after first visit at Crunch Fitness-St. Pete North East. There's no parking at 6pm sharing lot with Publix Store, lots of treadmills that were occupied and 4 broken or unplugged out of service. Eligibility To cancel membership is March 2026, after 3 payments for Lack of Use and added $100 maintenance fees . I made online payment receipt $43.99 Feb 19th , 2026 and called (813)687-5508 to ask why the collections call . Customer service rudely said It takes 3 days for payment processing to clear, so ignore email received.
Got this email on Feb 20th, 2026.
📢 Crunch Fitness Billing Department 📢
The account and routing information you provided did not clear. A $100 processing fee has been added for accounts without valid ACH billing.
Reporting Crunch Fitness to Better Business Bureau (BBB) goal of options to share my experience with a business , and don't need resolution.

Manager is awful
Great gym environment, wonderful trainer. Felix, the manager is a rude hot mess from HELL. I asked him to correct a sign on a machine to reflect the fact that it has been and will be “down” awaiting parts rather than the current sign that says, “We all need a day off. Easy peasy fix. He told me I was venting and to connect corporate. Atta boy, Felix, that’s customer service and accountability.
Don't give these thieves access to your bank account
Signed up with club in Dec 2025. Day after Christmas purchased four personal training sessions at $60 each. It is now mid Feb, I have used three sessions and have been charged for nine. These people have taken out $540 from my checking account in addition to the $19.56 regular monthly membership fees. They refuse to refund the money and since I became aware of situation two more payments have been taken out in spite of their assurance they would put a "freeze" on account and get it straightened out. Nothing but thieves. Period. Use anywhere else.
No respect for senior cancer patients
I have been a member of this gym in Chevy Chase for over 12 years. Yesterday I asked what could be done in terms of a guest. My mother has breast cancer and is going through chemo right now. For the days of her chemo and 48 hours afterwards she stays with me and would like to use the gym. The quote I got to use the gym 2 days a week for 6 weeks was $100, which is more than I pay over 2 months. Crunch gym I guess doesn't care about senior cancer patients.

Guelph,Ontario,Canada
The gym was good when I joined in 2024.
It is now way to busy at pretty much anytime of the day.
There is only 1 peck deck machine which you practically have to reserve ahead of time ,lots of younger clients sit on machines and play with their phones.I suggested they perhaps get a second machine nothing has changed.
Example my sets consist of 3 sets of 15 reps.
The other day when I was working legs there was a client on a machine that I wanted to use. I simply went to other macines I used 2 machines and did a total of 90 reps....yep she was still sitting there when I finished.....on her phone.
I find this happens a lot and its frustrating if I wanted to just stand around I would stay at home.
In closing I am cancelling my membership today.
Horrible
Horrible, horrible customer service!!! Can't cancel online or over the phone. And then charged me a ridiculous amount of money to cancel. Did not have a corporate phone number and was told to "look it up on google". On Google one number (1-877-427-4788), has no ties with Crunch Fitness and I was told that people call that number "all the time, but we have ties with that company". The second number (1-844-927-8624) immediately states "this call cannot be recorded", then immediately disconnects. The girl who answered the phone at the Lake Worth location ran my card WITHOUT MY permission!!! That is theft! So FYI, I would not sign up at this location or ANY crunch fitness.
NEVER EVER JOIN THIS GYM
NEVER EVER JOIN THIS GYM. ABSOLUTE SCAM.
RANDOM CHARGES COMING OUT AT RANDOM TIMES, NOT WHEN THEY SAY.
I WAS TOLD MY FEE OF $40 WOULD COME OUT ON THE 8TH OF THE MONTH.
THEY JUST TOOK $87 OUT ON THE 13TH OF FEBRUARY.
THEYRE BUSINESS MODELS IS BASED ON SCAMMING PPL.
THE ONLY WAY OUT OF THIS SCAM IS PUTTING A STOP PAYMENT ON THEM WHICH IS WHAT IVE DONE
Crunch bensalem
Crunch bensalem, pa is the worst place in the world they invited a bunch of vendors for an event and said it was free but just bring a raffle then when we showed up they all of the sudden said we couldnt come in unless we paid for advertising for 150/ month and sent a bunch of small business owners away. Terrible terrible people.
Bad Business not empathetic
I signed up for a personal trainer plan then became ill. They will not cancel my plan even with a doctors note even after telling me they needed a doctor's note. They don't care about the client just the money.
Not good for small business partnership
I entered into a small-business marketing partnership with Crunch Fitness with the clear intent of growing my social media following and generating potential clients through exposure to members at the gym. This was the primary reason for participating in the program and was discussed upfront.
As part of the partnership, I agreed to run a social media raffle to drive engagement, with the winner receiving a complimentary Crunch Fitness membership, provided through my business. This was intended to increase visibility and attract potential customers from the gym community.
However, the partnership did not deliver as represented. Out of 11 Crunch Fitness clubs in the Dallas, Texas area, only 3 followed my business on social media, and only those same 3 locations shared my content. The remaining locations did not participate.
When I raised concerns that the agreed-upon expectations were not being fulfilled, I was told that I could cancel the partnership if I was dissatisfied. However, I was also informed that cancellation would only take effect after a 90-day period, during which I was required to continue paying the $165 monthly subscription fee, even though the promotional benefits had not been delivered.
Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage other small businesses to carefully review both the performance expectations and the cancellation terms before entering into a similar agreement.
AVOID THE HEADACHE OF ENROLLING AT CRUNCH FITNESS
So I tried to enroll at Crunch Fitness (Newark, DE) location during their "$1 down, 2 months free" deal. I tried for almost 1.5 hours online. The website is terrible, and kept changing my location. Anyway, It also rejected 2 working credit cards, and 1 debit card. The deal got extended so I tried again the next day at the gym itself. I tried one of their tablets, and a computer. Didnt work there either. Tried multiple cards again, and other people were having similar issues. Staff told me "that the systems must be crashing from this incredible deal". I asked if they could just do it manually, and the staff member said he could but it would be more $ down, and only 1 month free. I was like no thats not what I want. Then the staff member asked if I was planning to work out, and I said yes. Although, he then said "well I guess I can let you work out today" like its some favor to let me work out since your systems dont work.
So he calls the GM (Madi) who tells him that they will get in touch with a member of the marketing team who will send a contract to me to do manually the next day or so. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Nevertheless, i tried to do register one more time the next day online, which didnt work either. (So i tried 3 different days, over about 2 hours just to enroll).
I then emailed Madi at least 4-5 times over the next week so I could come in, and do it at the gym like they had said. We kept missing each other, and finally when I had days off, I emailed her and I asked if I could come in. Then she says "oh well the $1 down 2 months free deal is gone, but you can do the $5 down and 2 weeks free". So THEY WONT EVEN HONOR A PROMISE TO ME TO FIX IT.
So no, im done with this gym, which is a shame bc its a nice space; but I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS MANY PROBLEMS WITH ANYTHING ONLINE. Nor a staff or a manager who seem to know nothing about how to sign someone up for a well.... gym membership. Ill stay at Planet Fitness where I never had an issue. Its a little more expensive, but never had one problem that couldnt be fixed quickly. Can you imagine trying to fix a billing problem with these people? More or less trying to cancel a membership??? Incompetent staff and manager, and it seems like these issues are gym wide. 500+ reviews with a 1.8 star average, and 78% negative! What a joke. AVOID!!!!!!
