Easy reliable service
Excellent service, never used this company before, so it's always a gamble, insurance cover was much cheaper than the major couriers. Had a few questions, which were answered quickly by a real person, not a FAQ page.

I made inquiries of a few couriers who provided bicycle delivery and Cycle Sent were the most competitive on pricing. Their website showed clearly how the different services operated and I opted for that which included provision of a box.
There were certain restrictions on when delivery of the box and collection of the bike could take place but these were taken into account and everything happened as planned.
Communication was good via email and direct communication with the carrier was possible to determine timings on box delivery, collection of the boxed bike and final delivery.
In short, Cycle Sent provided a first class service.

Terrible service- do not give this company ANY OF YOUR MONEY.
After paying for collection and delivery, I did not receive an email confirming my purchase for delivery.
On the day of collection, I called up for an estimate of pick-up, they told me to call the courier. My collection was not on the courier's itinerary for that day.
After phoning up CycleSent again, they assured me it was a "technical problem from the courier" and had organised with another courier to pick the bike up (I assume they forgot to book it in the first place).
After waiting all day (I took a day off work) I called them back up at 4:30pm. They informed me that the courier had attempted to knock on the door and call me (of which I had no missed calls) and I would be charged £10 for not being able to answer the door.
Asked for a refund and using another courier.
Do not waste your time and money using this service.

Brilliant service
Brilliant service delivered box on the Wednesday picked up box on the Thursday and delivered to Inverness from Yorkshire on the Friday.

I can only imagine that the 5 star reviews are made up. This lot either couldn't or couldn't be bothered to organise a p___up in a brewery. I note they've changed their company entity at least once in recent years, presumably because they jerked off their previous customers as much as they have me. I wouldn't trust them with anything, particularly not my bikes.

Never again
It took 2 weeks for them to pick up and deliver my bicycle when I moved. I paid extra for the same day box drop (I bought a bike box too) and pick up as the guy who was keeping my bicycle was busy. I needed it to be done on the same day.
At first I stated the required day when I ordered the service then I received the email that the box delivery is going to happen on that day and the pick up my bike the following day.
I sent a reply that I already paid for the same day service.
They acknowledged it.
Then the day came, I was waiting, not a single text or email. My friend sent me an email that cyclesent called him that their system was down so they couldn't come. I didn't receive any message from them!
My friend had to rescheduled it for a week later but I was not notified by the company.
I sent them an email to ask what's going on, no apology, nothing. They only said they would drop the box one day and pick up the bike later but they were confused about my order?!
Again I had to email them that I paid extra for the same day box drop and bike pick up and I was asking for a refund.
Again they acknowledged it.
Then I was waiting for the actual delivery day to come, again no message to inform me what's going on. NOTHING at all.
And obviously I haven't received my money back yet. So for me cyclesent is a never ever again category.
My experience with Cyclesent
The experience with Cyclesent - late pick up, no tracking of box (bike), then box gets damaged, next day delivery turned into next week delivery, emails and phone call get stone walled. Customer services was like a black hole: stuff went in - nothing came out. Summary: expensive, unreliable and incapable.
If you're still reading this is what happened. I went for the box and bike option with next day delivery for my mountain bike. The bike was picked up on a Thursday, delivery Friday - confirmed by email. Then on Friday, email arrived saying the box has missed it's connection (delivery address was only 100 miles away) and wouldn't be delivered until Monday (no offer of compensation). After the weekend, I get an email saying that the packaging had been damaged and it is being held at the hub, delivery set for tomorrow (Tuesday). After about 10 phone calls, I did eventually speak to Cyclesent on the phone but no information on the box could be provided. The matter remains unresolved.
