Every time I order a grocery delivery through deliveroo, I select the option for refund for out o stock item.
I never got any refund and am owed at least £40 from them in items.

Refused refund despite not receiving my order
Ordered some groceries from Waitrose, received someone else’s order which didn’t have one single item I had ordered and paid for. I took all the necessary photos and spoke to THREE people on the night that refused to do anything about it. Was told to email customer support about it, which I did. The reply I got was there was nothing they could do about it!
Absolute joke and a breach of the consumer rights act. I will take this matter as far as I can because I am disgusted by this. I will never use this rip off company again.
What a colossal screw up - horrendous customer service- AVOID
What a colossal screw up. I order from Sainsbury's, vegan and gluten free ice cream, what do they send me? Mars ice cream, full of gluten and dairy, I am allergic to milk and gluten, and i pay to have something I am allergic to. I phone the store, they can't help (although they do have vegan ice cream in stock but somebody just couldn't be bothered to pack it and decided to send me something I cannot eat).
Deliveroo's response? They cant do anything until it's been delivered, and then I have to take a photo of the item, with the receipt and then they'll open a case for me. Ridiculous, lousy customer service, lousy system....and you pay for it. Waste of time, I rarely use this type of service as I just go out myself, I am currently poorly and needed some help.
AVOID, save your money. You won't get what you ordered anyway.

Order delivered to the wrong location disputed this with deliveroo multiple times with customer service that sounded like robots to be told that they wouldn't refund despite them acknowledging the driver error. Quick backstory: Ordered a meal through the app. Meal arrived but the the bag the drink was in was torn and was leaking. The drink itself had leaked almost halfway out. I immediately took the ruined bag/drink to a nearby dumpster and threw it away. I was staying at a hotel so I did not want to bring a leaking bag through the lobby, elevator, hallway, or my room. After getting to my room I tried to report the issue through the app and was able to do this, however, when I was asked to provide photo evidence I wasn't able to (because I had already thrown it away). I provided a picture of the receipt that was on the good bag and uploaded it. All I requested was a refund for the drink.
After a total of 10 emails back and forth with 4 different customer service reps, I was treated with a "we're sorry, but because you can't provide a photo we are unable to process your claim." I was asking for a refund of £2.59 and they would not give it to me without photographic proof. I was not about to go dumpster diving. So I told them I would initiate a charge back through my credit card, post negative reviews, and never use the app again.
Well I guess it's obvious how this conversation went.
Michelle, Kimberlyjoyce, Clarinelle Grace, and Ralph were all unhelpful and unwilling to help out a customer. Terrible customer service. Terrible company. Terrible business.
I told them that I would have been happy with a refund and a reminder to take pictures of any issues should I have them in the future. That would have been totally acceptable. But apparently -- to Deliveroo, losing a customer and having to refund them anyways -- via charge back, was more important.

I dont normally write reveiws but this is a joke i ordered a delivery 1 hour ago (still waiting). Talked to customer service who assured me there is nothing to worry about because i can get something back or something along those lines and i just need to wait for my delivery that continues to get pushed back. So now im sat waiting for a delivery just because they wouldnt let me cancel it.

Do Not Trust deliveroo with your deliveries... They will steal it! Not a decent company. I did not receive most of my order and when i contacted customer service, they said that they can not do anything about it! Horrible customer service. All they care is to end the call. They keep you on hold by purpose! The order was on June 9th and every time I call, they ask me to fill an online form. My order was stolen by their employees and they refuse to refund the missing items untill now... After the way I have been treated from their customer service staff, I have very little hope to be refunded

Morrisons on Deliveroo
Morrisons on Deliveroo, 50% of my order was out of stock and removed from the order, the app never said these items were out of stock. Unbelievably there was no substitution for milk, cat food, a steak, but the delivery driver said there was always milk at the store.
I tried to cancel order but tine deliveroo answered the live chat the order was already on its way.
Had to then go to the supermarket to get missing items, so complete waste of time using app and Morrisons. Save yourself the hassle and the cost of this so called convenience service. If I could give negative stars I would.

Horrible customer service, I had missing items on my order and after sending all the pictures and information to prove it this person (joverose) still accused me of not giving enough information and was desperate to en the chat and until now I haven’t been given a refund of an item I never got

As long as you don't order from Morrisons Swansea, service is excellent. Morrisons continually turn down orders. Fourth attempt today I actually received some food, Try other stores and avoid Morrisons
Shocking customer service
Ordered food for home delivery at 11:58- 12:15 received confirmation food was collected 1hr 20 mins later no food. Have called and told no driver allocated to order- I have ordered for pickup- I did not.
Explained confirmation email and that I was able to track driver for a time before it stopped being shown. Also asked why is the restaurant now removed from the website following my complaint.
Only answer was ‘can not help you - no refund to be given’.
Was lied to by two advisors by being told I would be transferred to managers when in fact they were not- just senior agents who read from a script and implied I was lying about ordering to home.
Customer service is truly shocking- seems their aim is to fob the customer off constantly while repeating the li e’I understand how you feel’
Why should I be penalised for their error?
They misrepresented their service and can not provide what I paid for- another industry, a refund would be given and an apology.
