The worst service in Romania
Awful service. Especially, their Customs services. It takes more time then delivery. Any other delivery company takes a day in customs in Romania but DHL takes 10 days if u r lucky. I visited their warehouse to pick up my packages myself. I thought they were busy but i was astonished to see that Workers were just hanging out doing no work. They are unprofessional, rude and incomptent.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Incredibly incompetent. Unbelievable filling out process. Even though I speak Romanian, their website and the filling out of documents is from another planet, with names and acronyms that make it impossible to understand what it is that is needed. I think this deliberately obscures most procedures so that they can charge their percentage on customs fees that they incorrectly categorize through their “representation”. My package needed to be categorized under temporary export and thus not subject to TVA fees. Stay away.

Deplorable Experience
Worst experience I've ever had with absolutely any shipping service. Every document that was asked of me (which was an absolute unnecessary amount) was sent to them in a matter of 1-2 hours, and I get rewarded with no replies for several days. Slowest and the absolute worst and most complicated experience ever provided, simply to push you to use their overpriced services which should've been free to begin with considering how expensive the shipping cost is. Will absolutely never use DHL for any of my future packages and I will not recommend this service to any person I ever encounter.
Package shows delivered but no delivery
Package was sent to me from outside EU. Their website said its delivered and signed by me. I never got a call. The other reviewers have same issue. This is pathetic performance. Trying to find my package for 10 days now.
Incredibly slow
They are incredibly slow. The rhythm of work is one email per day: they send you an email and they are gone. You can reply in 10 minutes, provide the documents requested, ask questions....you need to wait 24h to receive a reply, but that one will not contain the answers to your questions.

Horrible service and expensive at that! Customs take an unjustifiable long time (4 days after the package entered the country they didn't even send the papers for the customs to start the checking process), no concern what so ever about the customer, when you call to ask about your package (for the 2nd time) they basically mock you and tell you "oh you'll get an answer to your complaint in 5 working days". This is just typical Romanian service...
Incredibly rude delivery people
Incredibly rude delivery people. I do not speak Romanian properly but I can get by with basic phrases (such as accepting a package) - this person, after hearing my Romanian is flawed, made an effort to speak using complex words just so I wouldn't understand what he was saying. Never in my years living in Romania have I ever had an issue accepting or sending packages, but alas DHL Romania made sure I get the full experience.
Would never recommend this delivery company unless you ASBOLUTELY must use it.

My father send me some documents from Romania and he paid around 90£ to arrive in 2 days but they arrived after 7 days. I don’t understand why from Romania is more expensive than UK. From Romania around 90£ and from UK 23£.

They are the worst company when it comes to customs services. It takes at least a week if not more to finish up the customs process. For other delivery companies it takes a day. Customer Service is very incompetent and rude. They don't care about the official complaints either. I highly recommend NOT to use them.

I payed express shipping from France and in 1 day the package arrived in Romania from France and that was amazing but after this is horror.They delivered the package in 7 working days after to me and when i called a courier he sweared and used insults towards me and told me that he does whatever he wants and delivers whenever he wants , that he doesn't have any interest in what i payed express or about my package.Before this DHL.ro transfered packages i had to another shipping worst company names Cargus,i did not received any new tracking number in my email from the transfer and i had no way to track the package because the tracking number changed when transfered to Cargus.Cargus delivered (lost my packages) until now 4 packages to another state to another address and i had to wait 2-3 weeks and make complains to DHL ,call Cargus and more to receive my package back.This is absurd ,they don't care about clients.Dhl outside Romania is good but dhl romamian service is horrible ,very bad service.Don't use dhl.ro because you will regret it. Bad Customer Support and extremely…
Bad Customer Support and extremely inconsistent services. I ship (bi-monhtly) packages from Japan, and the proxy service sometimes chooses DHL as the shipping service. Each time they do, I know I'll be in for a bad time. Not only is their platform for uploading documents for customs submission badly made, but they also don't have consistent criteria for what documents they require. Each time I send the same documents (with FedEx or directly to my Customs Office) and I've never had an issue with that, that is, until it's time to do the same process with DHL. As an example, I sent all of the paperwork and proof, and they called me after 5 days to ask me to give them an individual run down of every item in the lot, so that they can "look up the true value", so they can bill me more than what the real invoice actually is. Each time they blame "customs", but I've dealt directly with Customs and I've never had a problem. I wish I could say that not using DHL is an option, however, the proxy service also doesn't care and uses their services regardless of their incompetence.

Worst customer support!!
Unfortunately I was unable to choose the courier service, and somehow I ended up with the worst, DHL Romania. They are super unhelpful and will not answer your questions about customs requirements etc.
They also sent me an email early in the morning, basically with a deadline, and then 6 hours later, they informed me they're returning my package even though I'd had zero time to see, let alone deal with their emails.
I wasn't even informed my package had arrived early, and they charge 'storage' costs per day which is ridiculous and deceitful considering I was only informed a week later that my package had arrived... and don't get me started on customs requirements in Romania, but that doesn't have all too much to do with DHL. Just don't use DHL Romania!!

I sent my sister a laptop from the UK to Romania because she needed it for school, the laptop is worth £800, I paid £86 when I sent it, and when my parents received it they paid another £153 in taxes and more taxes and they kept it on the shelf for a month, they decided it wasn't a "gift" even though they had the "gift" option, a lot of documents to fill out, the customer relations agents just direct you from one side to another, never them I don't know, I blame each other, the information regarding the fees and the delivery process are not consistent. avoid this company!!!! you will waste a lot of time, a lot of money, and you need nerves of steel. for the sum of £239, I'd better buy a round-trip plane ticket to take the package personally. incredible.
