Worst service ever
Worst service ever, go with the regular post and you will be better off. Takes about 2-3 weeks once an external parcel reaches their office until it gets delivered (and that after you make complains), even parcels with all taxes already paid. They blame the customs office, but I am convinced that is a lie (as Fedex, UPS, Posta Romana have no issues with "customs office" and their parcels get cleared and released in days). Unhelpful customer service and complaint department, you'll just get (eventually) a generic reply along the lines of "we'll look into it", "we applogize"or "your parcel will get there when it gets there". When you call they are either rude, bored or barely manage to speak 2 words (feels like you bother them from scrolling on facebook or doing their nails and want to get rid of you as fast as possible). Unprofessional employees overall, you get emails with a formatting like written by a 7 year old, weird questions that make no sense, they make mistakes when doing your calculations and "forget" to send in the documents you provide (like the payment proof). Couriers do not call all the time before a delivery (like other companies do). Avoid at all costs.

Worst delivery service ever. I paid all the import taxes and the shipping in advance and did all my paperwork for custom clearance 3 days before the package even arrived in Romania. They confirmed on the phone that everything is good and I don't have to do anything else..... Since then the package is in custom delay because they are not processing it and the package just sits there in their warehouse. People complain about this and forums saying they are doing this on purpose to the people that are paying the taxes by themselves and do not pay any fee to DHL. Shame!!

It takes 24 hours for a package to arrive in my city from Spain or Italy to Romania, but another +72 hours to deliver to my location which is a maximum of 10 km away from the DHL warehouse (Brasov).
Once, I rode my bike to pick up the package from their warehouse. Shame!!!
One star is way too much
One star is way too much! I have been waiting for a package sitting in DHL Bucharest since they recieved it in late January. They have requested documentation which I have emailed several times, sometimes repeatedly at there request. DHL Romania courier service clearly demonstrates no leadership of its staff or consideration for the customer. No more DHL for me.

Bad service - for a small package gift, they were coming back to me over and over for additional papers, information, statements (even though i uploaded everything in the initial link provided). Never had such a bad experience,annoying and frustrating with any shipping companies. Waisted my time over and over again for useless details which were provided from begining. Definitely will avoid them in the future.

Very rude and unprofessional employees and not trained well in customer service. The charges are way high and of course is not in their interest to help you get lower charges.
RUBISH SERVICES AND CLIENT SERVICE
I have tried using DHL service for both export and import of items (personal not business), in 2 different instances. None of these were successful nor pleasant!
I ended up wasting a lot of time, money and efforts just so I can now ask and wait for them to return my item back to the supplier so I can use a REAL COURIER company!
If you wish to return a product (or export) outside of the EU, they will make your life a nightmare, asking for ALL details in your life, request for an EORI number (which was not necessary in my case) and every other detail they could ask for. And after all that effort they will tell you with the most arrogant attitude "it's not possible", and they'll find something that you are missing. They don't know the RO law, nor the EU law, they are simply not capable of anything!
If you wish to import an item, firstly, they don't know how to solve any potential issue, nor tackle any kind of situation, so they will (again) make your life miserable. They will keep your item in customs as long as they can so they can charge as much money as they can, while still not delivering the item to you.
If you are ever tempted to use their services, please DON'T. For the sake of your peace of mind, your time, efforts and finances!
I kindly advise you to use FEDEX Romania (they are professional, prompt, and they really know what they are doing). Basically FEDEX is everything that DHL IS NOT. Same applies for UPS which is simply garbage.
From my personal experience, NEVER USE DHL OR UPS. THEY SUCK BIG TIME!!!
They should be in prison
They miscalculated import duties for my shipments multiple times. They don't know the European Union's customs regulations and they don't understand how to read it when I show it to them. They don't even know how to check if an EORI number is valid or not. Recently I filed a complaint with the prosecutors office against some employees for abuse of service which led to me having to pay double import duties than I was supposed to pay legally. These people should be in prison.

The worst shipping company with the worst customers' service in Romania. I made a purchase that has been to sent from the USA, and although I paid for all the shipping, custom duties and taxes in advance, at the moment of purchase, when the package arrived in Romania they kept sending me email after email that my parcel is subject to customs clearance and solicited numerous document and additional taxes to clear my package. Of course, the seller (a well known one, by the way) plays its part here, because in the documents they sent to DHL they didn't mention the fact that the taxes had already been paid. When I tried to reach for the help of customer support department and explain the situation, telling that I own the proof of payment, the operator was extremely rude, she said that I have to contact the seller (which I did, and if they do not work with DHL to solve this inconvenience quickly, I would live the same bad review to them) and even though I am at no fault in this situation, if there are delays in the process, it is me who should pay for the storage taxes (about 7$/day). This is not the first time I encounter issues with this company. As someone else wrote in a previous review, the delivery persons do not deliver on time, they cannot be contacted by any means on the phone, and when they do not even call to try and make the delivery, they say that the delivery could not be completed on time because of the receiver not being home. Also, a couple of years ago, I had to let go of a parcel I ordered because when they calculated the fees to be paid, they got it wrong and I would have to pay for customs way much than the value of the purchase itself. I then lost my money and the products I ordered. At that moment, the customer service, once again told me that even though the error was their's I should have paid for the customs, then reach out to the Romanian International Customs Authorities to try and get back my money from them.

DHL is the worst courier regarding parcels coming from outside EU
DHL is the only courier, from all the other couriers that I've worked with, that asks a miriad of supplemental documentation and paperwork, for each and every parcel received from outside EU. And the delivery time is atrocious... Since the parcel entered in Romania, three weeks have past before sending it to me... Their explanation - The customs formalities... How come they are the only one in their area of business, who demand such an amount of paperwork, and such an amount of time to send an item to its owner... I'm extremely unsatisfied and this is not the first time I've encountered such problems with them... Therefore, for them it's a habit, not a particular situation... I would love to give them ZERO points, but it's not possible... I would never ever choose to work with them...

Stay Away from DHL ROMANIA . Worst customer service . I keep getting EMAILS that nobody was at the delivery , but the driver doesn't come to the delivery adress.
When i call the customer service they tell me that nobody was at the location . When i ask for the driver's phone they won't give it to you .

There was 2 packs from the same seller, camed in the same time: 1 with DHL and the other with TNT, both from China. TNT was delivered after 3 days but DHL... keep the pack, saying that it have to make custom clearance and they made it in 15 days! I.ve sent them 4 times all the documents they ask for, but they don't want make their job!
For only 6 bath towels! For this, DHL wasn't able to deliver the pack arrived in Romania from 15 days!. Why TNT was able to make the custom and to deliver the pack in 3 days and DHL no?
It seems like they don't want to make it! Why? It can't take 15 days to make a delivery in Romania, but for DHL all is possible. It's a rigid, unpleasant and the bad service that DHL make in Romania!
