Appaling lack of communication if…

Appaling lack of communication if things go wrong, I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a package.

In webchat I was told that they haven't got enough staff to send automated emails (as every other delivery company does) to tell you whats happening to your delivery.

I was then informed that they don't know where their drivers are so they can't give any updated details if you're ever lucky enough to get a delivery day.

They are so far behind every other delivery company its almost if they are being deliberately bad.

Absolutely worst company to deal with

AVOID at all costs. Pity I can't give lower than 1 star, and all the 5 star reviews are written by the company, so obvious. They're ok if the parcel is delivered ( well who isn't ) but any problems then forget it. Can't be contacted easily, if you do get through then kept waiting for ages.....and you get charged for your call. Even though I was assured calls were free I was charged £40 by phone company for the time I was kept waiting. One of my parcels was not delivered, TNT says it was but can't provide any proof. The package is insured for up to £50 but they won't pay. Sham company but I will get them!!

Sending our Condensor Dryer to Wrexham.

I needed urgently to send a Condensor Dryer to My Daughter in Wrexham as hers had just given up!.
White Goods weighing 35 Kilos eliminated most Carriers but TNT came to the Front as being able and capable of accepting my collection. I went on line and purchased the requisite financial package which looked like it would cost about £49.00 Expensive I thought but cheaper than having to buy a New Dryer. The online form was a bit jaunting but managed to complete and arranged for a date to pick up the goods. Because my timing was right the goods were scheduled for collection the same day. Brilliant I thought, and felt safe in the knowledge that I was dealing with TNT an INTERNATIONAL Carrier.
I was anxiously awaiting the Carrier and my expectations were of a very large articulated vehicle something like the Coca Cola advert we see at Christmas. Imagine my horror when the doorbell rang and a young lady announced that she had come to collect a parcel, indicating with her arms a parcel the size of a rolled up Duvet. As she spoke my eyes were seeking out the vehicle which would carry my Tumble Dryer safely to its destination. OMG there stood a long wheel base Transit Van of some description. I said to the Lady, you are aware that we are talking " White Goods" here! She seemed taken aback by this announcement and said I was not told what it was.
Not good I thought. Does your vehicle have a Tail Lift I asked, No she said.Oh I said, are you on your own, yes she replied.Well I suppose this retired 74 year old man would have to assist her. " Bring your trolley round to the Garage and I will just get my coat". I don't have a trolley she said, OMG This is sounding more like an Amateur Organisation whom I am dealing with. Anyway, we loaded the boxed up Condensor Tumble Dryer onto MY Trolley and the Lady rolled the trolley with Dryer some 80feet down the driveway to where the van was parked. 'Wow' I said when I saw that the floor of the van was about a metre plus above the ground. So, we both had to lift the Dryer off the trolley and up high to get it on the van. There was some problem in scanning the labels which I had to print out from the TNT Website, but the Lady said
" No problem it will get done back at the Depot". I had previously packed up the Dryer using a heavy duty box, together with Bubble wrap and sheets of polystyrene which I had obtained from a local high class Furniture & Carpet Shop. The empty carton had previously held a very expensive reclining chair shipped from Denmark. The carton was also taped top and bottom with Gaffer Tape then finally Shrink Wrapped with labels on the top. The Dryer was delivered to Wrexham the next day, so the actual delivery time was Excellent. Unfortunately, after opening the case and plugging in the machine my Daughter got me on Face Book and asked was it right the noise she was hearing from the machine. I went through the controls with her using her phone as a camera and then I told her to switch on. She already had loaded wet washing into the machine. When she turned the machine on the grating and screeching sound which it made was obviously wrong and I told her to Turn it OFF and unplug it.
Still with her phone being used as a camera I asked her to get assistance in leaning the machine backwards to check that there was no packing material jammed in the bottom. What we both saw was considerable DAMAGE to the base and side of the unit, suggesting that the Dryer had been DROPPED from a considerable height, possibly from the high floor of the van?.
The next morning I phoned TNT and informed a very bubbly " Customer Service " lady of Damage to my Tumble Dryer who advised me that TNT does NOT handle "White Goods" Your paperwork should say TNT Direct - Which it did! I Perceived that I had not dealt with TNT the International Carrier so who was I dealing with?. It was explained to me that TNT who was now owned by Fed Ex who were 10 times the size of TNT and TNT Direct was a separate company who dealt with White Goods but we're owned by somebody else. This was not sounding good, despite the fact that I took out £200 insurance Cover with TNT Direct for approx £8 cost which was promoted to me during my on line purchase.
There is obviously some business reason why TNT Direct is offered up when one is of the opinion that they are dealing with the International Carrier TNT and not a White Van Man.
Having said that TNT Direct is now dealing with my "damage claim" and it is all very professional except for the fact there is NO Telephone number specified and the Claim is being processed AUTOMATICALLY On Line which " IS NOT EASY" In fact the information requested on Internal and External Packing, Photographs, Valuations etc is pretty stressful, especially as there is very little flexibility on line to explain or clarify. Anyway, I am working through my claim and am I hopeful of a satisfactory conclusion ?? TBA

Damaged items eventually reimbursed

This company managed to damage 9 of the 14 packs of LVT that I wanted to return to the supplier. Note that LVTs are quite sturdy materials and it should have taken quite a bit of effort to damage them. In addition, I had purchased protection cover for my shipment. They rejected my claim citing that "tiles are on the no-protection item list." On the other hand, they did not have any issues with charging me for their non-existing protection!

I challenged their decision and nobody has returned to me. Therefore, they ended up costing me over £650! Even 1 star out of 5 is too high for this company. Avoid at all costs!

Edit: After challenging their decision, they reconsidered my case and finally accepted my claim. I would like to thank the Claims Department for agreeing to review my claim.

If you are purchasing protection, I still recommend that you check with the courier to see if your items are indeed protected.

Terrible service if you wish to have your passport delivered by TNT! They made two attempts to deliver my passport, but only to two entirely different addresses when they take a quick picture of the door and run away. It is unprofessional that they are allowed to be couriers of such sensentive information and try deliver it to any random door! Do not use TNT service!

Awful customer service and no collection

Waited all day for a collection and nobody showed up. Didn't even call to say they weren't coming. Contacted customer services on the phone and live chat to be told even though I had gone to the TNT website I'm not actually speaking to TNT and had to go to another website to actually speak to them. From there they couldn't tell me why it hadn't been collected but that I could drive an hour away to deliver it to the depot myself but they might not accept it.

Excellent service

TNT delivered a parcel to me from abroad. The driver, Chris. D. from the Thetford depot was so pleasant I used them to send a parcel abroad a few days later. It was collected by the same driver who
was knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful and answered my queries readily although he had a very busy schedule.

Not professional

Been waiting from 9am - 15:30pm
After 17:30pm I phone customer service and told me they can collect tomorrow and deliver Monday or Tuesday
First, they didn’t even bother to ring you and I provide all the contact details there.not professional!!!
It easy to call customer and let them know that they are not coming.
And the only options is to refund or re-scheduled but they don’t understand that you committed to other people too.
TNT is not good courier company if you want to do online business.
You will lost your customer and you ruin your company name.

Terrible

Terrible. Booked online for collection and next day service, failed to collect yesterday so already late. Van pulled up today then drove straight off without collecting. There is no way of contacting them, no phone number, no online chat. But they will take your money. They will embarrass your company so use someone else who is reliable. Do not use tnt direct.

Awful

Awful. It's not TNT apparently, but their website includes a facebook icon that belongs to the real TNT....but TNT deny all knowledge....I can understand why. They couldn't book my consignment properly and lost my box and then couldn't be contacted and it goes on and on until they denied the insurance claim when it was fully insured......never again. Parcel Force or DPD are outstanding in comparison.

TNT - a nightmare experience

I trawled the Net for couriers that would take a parcel of 35Kg. TNT Direct were one of the few who did and were far cheaper than any other I found. Organising the order was straightforward and the parcel was collected very promptly. On the morning of the next day tracking was showing "Order out for delivery" or words to that effect.

So far so good BUT when I looked later to check that it had been delivered the tracking didn't appear to make any sense showing two parcels neither of which appeared to relate to mine.

Eventually, using the dreaded Web Chat, I found that the driver claimed that he had been unable to find the delivery location and that the parcel was being returned to me. When I checked with the deliveree to see if he'd any similar problems with couriers and his reply included the statement "Tnt has delivered to us before with no issue, so I'd hazard a guess it's fault of a lazy or disorganised driver". My guess is that he had parked some way away and didn't fancy staggering with a very heavy parcel.

I further used their appalling Web Chat to try to get them to actually deliver the parcel but they dodged that by claiming that it was already loaded on a lorry to return to me. For several following days there was no change in tracking status and during that time I tried to contact them by Web Chat and eMail to organise collecting again after it had been returned to me or, failing that, to issue a refund. Trying to get them to properly listen was the worst of my nightmare. I didn't realise the there was a nominal difference between TNT and TNT Direct and, seemingly, neither did a lot of their staff as they appear to use the same transport and Web Chat: they played me off between them. At one time I was told I needed to contact Parcel2Go with whom I had had no involvement as I'd ordered directly from TNT Direct but, apparently, there is some tie up. To complicate matters even more Fedex appear to have
connections with some or all of the three which suggests it's likely to be matter of the blind leading the blind as both TNT and Fedex mainly have poor scores in the ratings.

The parcel was eventually returned to me without any notification and the outer packaging had been severely damaged so I'm now about to battle with them using the great Resolver.

It is a scam, or feels like it....
Some they are part of TNT/ Fedex but somehow they are not, booked an urgent collection did not happen, took me an hour to find someone who was even remotely able to track und find the booking only to tell me it will not happen. DO NOT USE

Pathetic service from end to end

Pathetic service from end to end. Please avoid this like the plague.

Everything seemed to go so smoothly when ordering on the website. I fell for the trap of trusting this website because of the brand name 'TNT'... Dont trust this scam.

I waited indoors all day to ensure I was available between 9am till 17:30 (this archaic system doesn't tell you a more informative delivery window)... No one turned up. I didn't receive a single email to inform me of issues, I called TNT & was told that I had to reach 'TNT Direct' via webchat... equally as useless. I rebooked the deliveries by myself after being told to wait for over 20 minutes on webchat. Again, I stayed in to meet the courier and they never turned up! I have requested a refund & am going to write in a complaint. This so-called 'service' needs to be culled.

TNT customer service is a complete joke…

TNT customer service is a complete joke !!!
TNT customer service is a complete and utter joke.
I received and email from TNT on the 4th November 2020 stating that my delivery would be delivered to me on the 3rd November 2020 (1 day earlier than the email, how did they work that one out?) It's now the 5th November 2020 and they've just advised me that they haven't even collected the delivery yet from the sender (Secredtlabs). What a complete and utter joke of a courier delivery company, shame the're no way to give them zero stars and it's forced me to reluctantly give 1 star.

Dishonest company, appalling service- avoid at all costs

Paid a premium for next day delivery for an item I urgently needed to be sent from UK to mainland Europe. Tracking didn’t work, when I called I couldn’t get straight answer and they said it was a mistake their end. Next time I checked tracking it was showing up as delivery expected in 6 days time! When I eventually got to speak to a human was told there was a mistake made and it wasn’t put on flight from West Midlands as planned and was now being sent via road freight!!! So a 24 hour delivery took almost a week. When I tried to get a refund or at least partial refund they used the excuse of Covid and refused to pay any money back despite previously saying it was human error. The lowest of the low deceitful, dishonest company and now they’ve merged with Fed-Ex they’ve monopolised and can rip people off even more. I could have flown home and picked it up quicker and cheaper!!! No apologies, no refund and only the option of web chat when you need customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The ombudsman if there is there one for this industry needs to get involved pronto as TNT should be held accountable.

This company is a disgrace and not even TNT! False advertising

This company is an absolute disgrace. DO NOT USE! They are not even TNT - they are a false advertising as Parcel2Go.

I sent a parcel to China nearly 2 months ago and after chasing with it being held in customs - spoke to 7 different customer service operators all of which promised me a call back based on a case that was drawn up. On the last attempt I have now been told that the package is being returned and TNT direct is actually not TNT but in fact a complete 3rd party company Parcel2Go. They then tell me that it is Parcel2go who is their customer so I need to deal with them. This is after speaking to 7 people!!! Absolutely appalling communication, terrible customer service and false advertising.
