Great holiday in fantastic cottage.

1 Foys Cottages is a truly lovely place to spend some leisure time in. It's cosy and comfortable and had everything we wanted. We really enjoyed cooking in and on the Rayburn. Although the weather was not yet warm (or dry) enough for us to enjoy the very nice garden, it was no hardship whatsoever to spend time indoors, catching up on some reading. Chetnole is a good base for discovering the Dorset countryside and coast (as well as Somerset and Devon).

Perfect Torquay setting and accommodation

The Kilmorie studio was the perfect location and accommodation for my husband and I and our dog. The studio was thoughtfully furnished and really clean and comfortable. I loved it. The location was so much better than expected, I know a lot of the coastline around Devon, but hadn't explored this part (mainly because I've never fancied going to Torquay!). The view from the studio was beautiful and the access to the South West Coastal path made it perfect for both walking and running. Highly recommend it for couples and dogs who want access to walks without being too close to the town (1.5 miles along the cliff).

Easter 2015

Welcoming and friendly hosts, a comfortable and immaculate apartment, light and airy with lovely views inside and out. I’d certainly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Outstandingly stunning views in a magical setting

Our four night trip was an escape for six 40 something professional women to celebrate our long friendship. We were delighted with the standard of accommodation. All six women were complimentary of the fresh cotton linen and excellent mattresses. The discerning cooks among us were very impressed with the well equipped kitchen and those views across the bay and out to sea were to die for. The living room served as a viewing station where we lingered gazing out at the scene of natural beauty before us.

Close by is the marvellous Hope & Anchor pub with excellent seafood and wine list. Particular favourites were the Cornish lager and whitebait starter. The staff were very friendly and helpful as were the locals.

We walked over to Thurlestone for lunch at the Village Inn where we received excellent service and delicious food of a far higher standard than one would expect from a pub. Again locals and staff friendly and accommodating.

On our last day we mooched over
to Inner Hope Cove to wander around admiring the many thatched cottages and picked up some arty objects from the Gallery behind the Watch House. Again friendly staff and good for a chat.
The only downside was that we had to come home. Six well-fed well-walked and content women returned to the rat race refreshed. We left our hearts in Hope Cove soon to return.

Idyllic -

The Watch House is a beautiful cottage on the beach, ever changing views from the windows and well equipped for all you may need for a stay away from home. We stayed as a family of five and enjoyed everything Hope Cove had to offer - the beaches, walks, shop, pub and café bar. From the moment of arriving it felt magical and that feeling didn't leave us during our entire stay.
The cottage is fantastically located for playing on the sand, boogie boarding in the sea or exploring at low tide. I'm sure there is lots to do in the area but to be honest we parked up and then didn't leave until it was time to go home.

Quirky Place to Stay - Beach Hut 5 Shaldon

Lovely hut with everything you need. Not the best place to stay if you are on the larger side, the bathroom is a bit tight as my other half discovered (it did make our stay very amusing!) All clean with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival, everything you need provided. Great location, beach can get busy on a weekend. Would recommend and stay again.

Very welcoming!

We stayed at River View Shaldon for a week at Easter. Angela did everything she could to make us feel extremely welcome - she really 'went the extra mile' The bungalow was really well equipped and was ideal for my mother to get around in her wheelchair (after negotiating the front steps) and the wet room was very useful. The upstairs bedroom and ensuite were great for us too. The outlook from the bungalow is lovely and the village with its pubs, shops and cafes is just a 5 minute walk away.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and Discovery Holiday Homes.

Easter stay at Galmpton Stable.

- the people were fantastic; welcoming, informative and always on hand to help
- the neighbors were friendly and even invited us in to give us ideas of places to walk
- the house was homely and had everything we needed; the garden was a suntrap
- it was ideally located, right near to a lovely pub and the beach and bays just a short drive away!
- I think our stay here helped me and my girlfriend fall in love a little more; it was perfect

Cannot fault the view

Great spot in Hope Cove. Will be brilliant during the warmer months when doors and windows can be left open.
Log fires were good if you had the wood.
Kitchen is cold and not in it long enough to light fire.
View from upstairs living room is one of the best in Hope Cove.

High Standard Self Catering Accommodation at East Prawle, Devon.

We were a small walking group staying at No 5 Coastguard Cottages. The accommodation was of a very high standard and was warm and comfortable. The views from the cottage were of a beautiful seascape and we were able to walk the coastal footpath from the house. The wildlife of the area was outstanding and the local history was also very interesting. In all an excellent place to stay.

The Lighthouse

We stayed in The Lighthouse. The quality of the apartment it truly 5 star as is the location and the views. There was lots for our young family to do and would not hesitate to recommend this property. The warm welcome from the managers and ongoing assistance was in keeping with the 5 star rating. Thanks again and we hope to visit you again soon.

Brilliant service!!

You have to go a long way to get this level of service! We made a speculative last minute, late night enquiry for a break. Sue answered the phone immediately, called the owner, sorted a good price, spent ages helping us with best places to eat.

All processed, paid and sorted. Great holiday as well in Torquay! Even the sun shined! Traffic was heavy on way down, but that's the Govts. fault.
