We had Drain Doctor booked in for a fairly straightforward job which became much more complicated, due to problems we and they were unaware of when they quoted for the work. The two guys who performed the work did a fantastic job, staying many hours over the amount originally booked to ensure that everything was sorted out and fully working before they left. They were helpful and courteous and took time to explain exactly what the problems were, then suggested possible solutions and what would be the most cost effective way to sort things out. The price we paid was more than the original quotation, but extremely reasonable considering the amount of time and effort the guys put in on the day. I would absolutely recommend them - this was the best service we have ever received for work of this nature.

I had a very disappointing experience with this plumbing company and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

I was invoiced for “completed works” that, in my opinion, were either not completed properly or involved little to no actual repair work.

Examples:

• A “semi-blocked” toilet was allegedly repaired, but the operative simply flushed it a few times. No tools, inspection equipment, or remedial work were used.

• A leaking bathtub was temporarily sealed with silicone, which the operative himself described as temporary. The underlying issue was never investigated because the bath panel was not removed, and nobody returned to complete the job despite this being indicated. I eventually had to remove and redo the silicone myself.

• A shower pressure issue was never repaired. I was merely advised to “open all showers,” which is not a meaningful fix.

When I raised these concerns, I requested:

* evidence of completed works,
* a copy of the signed job confirmation they claimed existed,
* and an explanation for the delayed invoice.

None of this was properly provided.

Despite the unresolved issues, I was pressured for full payment and later threatened with solicitors when I disputed the invoice.

I have now paid simply to avoid further hassle, but overall I found the experience unprofessional, incomplete, and extremely frustrating. I would not use this company again.

Our plumber was Kyle who came to fix our problem kept me up to date all the time he was here explaining what needed doing and showing me what was happening.

This was the first time we had used ‘Drain Doctor’. The engineer was very helpful showing where and how the drain blockage had occurred. The problem was resolved. We would certainly use this company again.

I highly recommend Drain Doctor. They were quick to arrange a visit and inspect the issue we were experiencing, and a clear quote was provided later the same day, with the straightforward option to accept or decline the work.

Although there was a delay in completing the job due to an incorrectly ordered part, this was handled well and caused no concern. The team were proactive in keeping us informed and clearly communicated when the work would be carried out.

I would also like to specifically commend Kyle, the Drainage Engineer, who is a real asset to the company. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to delivering excellent customer service and high-quality work.

I'm so pleased with this company who have been consistently professional, informative & helpful. Kyle explained and showed me the problem and rectified it professionally. Kyle was very knowledgeable and friendly and I felt confident with him doing the work. He kept me updated with the appointment and what time he would arrive. My faith has been restored in good workmen and service, thank you.

So pleased with this service from calling around 10am to work being completed by 9pm. On the same day. Kyle was really good went above and beyond to sort out this mess. Thank you

Had a blocked drain for a couple of days. I was recommended Drain Doctor by a friend and gave them a call. They sent out an engineer within the hour who diagnosed and fixed the issue. Kyle was friendly and knew his stuff. Needless to say he fixed the problem and gave invaluable advice to prevent the issue happening again. Everything cleaned up before he left and all for a very good price.From call to job completion in around 2 hours. Great service.

On Saturday evening we had a major problem with the drainage in the bathroom, which meant we could not use the bath, basin or toilet! My wife found Drain Doctor online and we called immediately. Within 90minutes, Kyle arrived, he explained what he would do and the cost upfront, we agreed and he set to work. He was able to clear the blockage and identify its cause. He was very knowledgeable and explained every to us. We were very happy with this and when the quote came through for the additional work, we arranged for it to be done ASAP. He was then able to return to us on Thursday, to complete the work. He kept me fully appraised throughout his visit. We were really pleased with all aspects from start to finish. It was also great that Kyle was sent to complete the follow up work, for continuity. Kyle is a credit to the company. We would recommend Kyle and Drain Doctor for a wonderful service.

Called Drain Doctor and they arranged for 8am the next day, wasn't an emergency call-out but needed sorting within 48hrs I'd say. Was very happy with how quickly they could come and quote. Entire run of external pipe was replaced up to the drain within the same morning, extremely reasonable price and friendly workman.

Very quick and knowledge in fixing the issue.

They came when they said & got on with the job ... kept me informed all the time. Explained the process fully.

Absolutely fantastic, I called drain doctor after my washing machine backed up and leaked all over.

It soon became clear that the previous owner of the house had done some “creative” plumbing, though this wasn’t the cause of the blockage it certainly created some obstacles.

This was no problem to Kyle, he was professional and thorough with his investigations before quoting a fix.

He cleared the blockage, did a full clean up and even put some of the plumbing back better than he found it.
