Very friendly staff in wallsend and…

Very friendly staff in wallsend and Can’t fault the delivery service. They rang to say they were delayed but our bed would be delivered that day. They both had masks on and they took our old one away without any issues. I would certainly use them again 😊

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. CUSTOMER SERVICE DISGUSTING. AVOID AT ALL COST
I ORDERED A 3 AND 2 SEATER SUITE FROM BOOTLE BRANCH. 10 WEEKS AGO. AFTER 6 WEEKS I RANG HEAD OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHEN SUITE BEING DELIVERED. AS I WORK. ONLY TO BE TOLD THE MATERIAL I WANTED WAS OUT OF STOCK AND HAS BEEN SINCE I ORDERED SUITE. SO WHY LET ME ORDER IT AND TAKE MY. MONEY. I ASKED WHAT OTHER COLOUR THERE WAS. WE WILL GET SAMPLES OUT TO YOU. AFTER FURTHER 2 WEEKS. STILL NO SAMPLES I GAVE IN. WANT MY MONEY BACK NOW. EMAILED EVERY DAY FOR LAST 2 WEEKS. AND RANG WANTING REFUND. STILL WAITING. EVERYTIME I RING TO SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT. THEY ARE NOT THERE. ITS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

I echo lots of the comments made earlier. I eventually got my bed after 8 weeks, 18 hours waiting in for delivery, several emails and lots of calls. There is too much to say about all the stressful events, but what is really important to say is DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Google "Durham Bed Centre Companies House" then search for company number 10681413 and look at "Filing History" which shows that the government have given them a "Notice of a compulsory strike off" twice this year already.

Unprofessional Company - Do not waste your time and money

Very unprofessional company where they focus on sales and leave you when you complaint about a defective piece. My wife and I were so happy and looking forward for the divan bed and mattress that we bought. After few weeks the piece that delivered had defects and not the same as what was on display. We took a video and send it to head office so that bed could be replaced however no one bothers to respond to emails. After complaining and chasing them for weeks (their head office has staff who are not trained on complaint procedure), finally they send someone to check, who agrees to the defects. There was no update yet. When chasing them on it, we were informed that they do not think that there is any manufacturing fault so the supplier will not replace the bed. It was contrary to what I was told by the person who came to check it. Also we feel let down and given a defective piece (different then the one displayed in store).

I made the biggest mistake of buying from them as it has only caused me stress, wastage of time and money.
I am now looking to see ways to get my money back using my consumer rights.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you enjoy wasting your time and money. I don't even want to give them one star but without it review cannot be posted.

Absolute shambles company with the best trained colleagues in lying convincingly so well done on that bit,read reviews and avoid because I certainly wish I did...UPDATE the staff at the Hartlepool store have been brilliant and sorted the situation out.

Really disappointed with Durham bed…

Really disappointed with Durham bed company. Only had my bed for just under a year and right at the start of lockdown and the beam dropped from the middle making one of the wooden boards snap in half. I waited for lockdown to lift then tried calling the shop I had bought it from a number of times, called the head office number a number of times, never getting an answer from either. I emailed, i sent messages on facebook....everything i could think of. Eventually my mum went into the shop it was bought from (I live an hour away) and asked for someone to contact me. Still no-one did. She has been back in to the store a few more times and now, finally they said theybwould send someone to have a look at it but i would have to pay for it as the bed is NOW over a year old! Well, to only have a 1 year warranty on the beds speaks volumes for the quality of the beds.

A word also about the two ladies Linda and Sheila who we spoke to over the phone with our queries both very efficient and friendly so well done to all at Crossgates Leeds branch !

Great service.....

Excellent delivery service of our new bed to us here in Warrington by the guy and the young lad,even accounting for the p#### beeping behind their van while they dropped the bed off......

Well where do I start first I ores a…

Well where do I start first I ores a sofa from the seaham branch was told it was a 6 weeks delivery tome it now 8 week and still no sofa I had to go in to the store to finds where it was and was told I had to ring to find out where it was and to get it delivered as we have moved house we temporarily could not finds the recipe so had to go back to the shop where the lady rang for me and i was told I was ready and could be delivered on Thursday the 8th October as I work full time I arrange for someone to sit in all day as I only got a time between 9am -5 pm it had got to 4.30 pm and no one had contacted me so started to worry as 5 pm was the deadline so once again rang the seaham branch and the lady who was called Tracy was extremely rude and very unhelpful I then decided to call the Sunderland branch as I was now very Annoyed at this point the lady called maddy in the Sunderland branch was so lovely and helpful explain that there was a problem with your vans and they where running late which I was not bothered about them running late I just wanted to know if it was coming today but the lady at the seaham branch could not be bothered with me and she didn’t care all she did was give me a number did not exist her customer service was shocking and attitude was terrible this is the second time I have got something from your seaham branch and been Dissatisfied with this service and will not be getting nothing more and will recommend everyone to you it is now 18.15 and now have received a call from the driver saying he will be here with in a hour which will make it past 7 pm at night looking forward to your quick response philippa bell

Where are the screw holes??

Bought bedhead three weeks ago and just arrived. Thought three weeks a tad long and £25 delivery charge a lot! Workmanship a bit rough but will do. I am writing this review to advise screw holes are on the black backing material..not the chenille where the stickers wear. Just to save you half an hour of looking.

Really disappointed with the service…

Really disappointed with the service from Durham Bed Centre, They have failed to meet There ‘terms of sales’. My sister and I both bought complete beds sets and a further mattress so a great deal of money was spent! Today is delivery day. Have they turned up NO! I rang the warehouse/delivery site and was greeted with the ‘mailbox is full’ I rang the Wallsend store where we purchased them explained the situation and was informed that ‘I am a new member of staff the warehouse is closed on a Saturday and unfortunately I don’t have any contact numbers to give you, you could ring one of our other stores to see if anyone else can help’ . Approximately one hour later my Sister rings same store to be told ‘the delivery people must be running late but they will be with you today. They were supposed to pick up a three piece suite from the store but haven’t been here yet. But be assured your bed will be with you today’ . It is now 18:00 and still no beds!!!! Reading their terms of sales point 1 states that if for any reason we can’t make your delivery we will telephone you. Have they rang either of us, NO so as far as I’m concerned they are in breach of their side of the contract. Really really disappointed will certainly not be buying from them again and will be informing everyone I know of my experiences with this Company

Smooth Purchase

Recently ordered a new bed from the Sunderland branch, plenty of choice,
Delivery was due to be 2/3 weeks but was delayed 1 week due to staffing at the manufacturers, which in the understandable with the current epidemic
But we were kept informed and when our bed was finally delivered it was prompt with no issues
Would definitely use again

Ur lucky to get one star as that's minimum u can do I bought a grey sleigh bed king-size come over a week late asked for fabric buttons half was fabric other half diamonds side slats was both for same side now 2 of the under supports are broke base boards only just fit and the bed feels loose not solid like it should be and
I've been on there case for weeks over this just ignore phone have attitude when they do answer and hang up I been in there crossgates store more than once and still nothing wouldn't use these again if it was a matter of life and death stay clear

Amazing service!

Amazing service!!

Ordered the Madeline 3+2 seater sofas in crushed velvet, the price was unbeatable and the quality is unreal. Over the moon with them. The service was 10/10, came on the date I was quoted with. Delivery men were lovely and put the sofas exactly where I wanted them. Would 100% recommend and purchase from here again.

I ordered a custom divan bed and mattress during the pandemic i was able to pick a different material for free and 2 free pillows, my delivery date was scheduled for 3 weeks later, i paid for my bed over the phone with no issues and my bed was delivered on schedule with the delivery drivers calling me 15 min away to let me know they where coming. my bed is beautiful! and my mattress is so comfortable, overall i had an amazing experience with great customer service and the bed was amazingly priced £600 for a custom divan and 1000 pocket spring orthopedic mattress.

This is the follow up to my last post,I at last got a refund ,after many calls ,I ,I joined a saving plan in January for two beds ,I have been paying what I could afford until the covid in march ,a total of £500 ,they have give me £347,took 12% cause cancelled ,the beds wasn't made that's why I paid into a savings plan ,I am getting advice to see if this is legal ,so I would tell you not to deal with this company

Very poor service..

Very poor service... no email before bed arrived ... pieces missing .. they did come out dropped 2 pieces off but still waiting for other ... cant get in touch with office paid £600 for a bed. Official complaint put in let’s see what happens. I would not recommend this company at all … no response and it’s now June 21

Appalling customer service 😡 bed…

Appalling customer service 😡 bed arrived after the same excuses I’ve seen on other reviews, one day before delivery beds not coming, rearranged for Saturday, Friday night at 4-45pm, rang beds not coming Saturday either. Bed eventually came and when we eventually put it together, it’s not right with gapping and the boards that go on the bottom don’t fit! ( husbands a builder he knows how things fit) very shoddy bed, never reply to emails. Told manager Chris my concerns, he promised a refund on delivery charges, when bed was delivered I didn’t get said refund surprise surprise, also free pillows not there as promised. Worlds most miserable delivery drivers, asked for money when he came to the door even though it had been paid in full. Claimed the know nothing about refund or pillows, I realise this is a minor point but just shows their incompetence in the office and management. They literally don’t care. Whoever the girl is when you ring up needs training badly in customer service and how to lie properly to customers, which they do lie. Shoddy company, shoddy customer service, no social media to speak of, nowhere to leave bad reviews in other words, DONT BUY FROM THEM PLEASE JUST DONT

Only Worthy of 0 Stars, Absolutely Appalling!

Appalling customer services and products, AVOID AVOID AVOID! Delivery day (a Saturday) comes around just over 4 weeks after ordering, and I receive a phone call to say "we don't know what has happened but your bed is not being delivered today, we don't deliver tomorrow but we might be able to get it to you Monday is that okay?"... Monday comes and the bed arrives, the delivery drivers are requesting £200 payment for the bed, which I paid 10 days prior in the shop, thankfully I had my receipt, and then they say "oh sorry we dont know what has happened but your bolster cushion is not on the van, we will have to bring it tomorrow".. after the delivery drivers leave, I realise the buttons on the bed aren't as I asked... a phone call to the shop, and the young lass says "oh I knew they were having issues with your headboard but they should have called you and not just done that"... well at this point I should have just requested they took it away... they offer to replace the buttons on Thursday, 2 people arrive, not enough buttons for the head board and base, as they hammer the buttons into the bedframe they damage each and every one, some ripped, some dented, others not even in the right place so screws are on show etc... as we had not removed the plastic prior to their return with the buttons we soon noticed a large pen mark on the bed, damage and dirt to the corner of the head board and visible staples around the edges of the roll top... a shoddy job... I was near the shop so went in to make my complaint known, that the bed was shocking and my cushions still hadn't arrived, I was greated by a member of staff who pretended to listen to me while obviously scrolling facebook on her phone, who informs me I will lose a percentage of my money if I take a refund because "they made the bed", a bed that is only fit for the bin! The manager then they asked me to "leave, and come back when they had phoned head office" I returned for them to tell me "head office is calling you, I will ring you for a courtesy call in an hour" (its been over a week, still no call!!). Head office ask for images via email, and after waiting hours for a call back we rang to be offered a remake of the bed with a 2 week wait, we politely declined on the grounds the job may be as shoddy and we still would have no bed 7 weeks later, "we will call you back", no call.. this became a habit "I need to speak to a manager so will call you tomorrow morning first thing" but each time we had to call them, "we can't sort this til monday as we need a manager"... Monday came and they offered a 1 week turn around (we're already a week post delivery now so its still 2 weeks!), we again declined, "well I cant authorise a refund ill have to speak to a manager and they're not here, we will call you tomorrow", tomorrow came and went... eventually they offered to collect the bed and refund, HOWEVER on the day they were due to do this they told us they would collect by 5pm and refund, the delivery guys came to pick up at 4.50pm and HEAD OFFICE IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND! Even the delivery drivers were appalled at our experience! The customer service in store and over the phone was beyond shocking, the standards of the bed are completely unacceptable and I will NEVER return to this shop, if it was the last place open, no wonder their reviews keep disappearing from social media... what was once a dream bed, quickly became a nightmare experience, which has caused huge levels of distress.. please do not shop here.
