Durham beds

We ordered our beds for delivery March, due to covid they were not able to deliver,
Come end of lockdown we agreed a delivery date beds arrived ,but with a piston problem, Durham beds diverted men to sort our problem
We are now very happy with our purchase

Daylight Robbery!

Daylight Robbery!! And that's putting it mildly! DO NOT FALL IN TO THE TRAP!
We ordered a bed from this company at the start of February, paid £100 upfront via card, then came home and read all of the bad reviews online about them (lesson and truly learnt about not doing this first!) And we cancelled the same day, within a few hours. We emailed the address on the bottom of the invoice, which states in bold that you have 48 hours to change your mind otherwise you're commited to paying the full amount.
We received no response at all so went back to the shop the next day to seek advice, only to be told from the staff member that she doesn't know her company's policy on cancellations (though she said she's worked for this company 21 years?!) So we had to just try emailing head office again, which we did.
We got a response saying they would process the refund ASAP. We waited 3 weeks and had still had nothing back so emailed them again, got another response saying they would process it the next week. Of course they didn't!
We have ended up putting a fraudulent claim in with our bank in order to claw the money back and will NEVER purchase again without checking reviews out first.
Hard lesson well learnt!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company! If you could call it a company. Ordered sofa bed and paid £275 in cash. Did not arrive on delivery date and got no phone call to advise otherwise. When contacting the store they said they tried to ring as the "warehouse" had messed up and did not have it in stock. Told it would be in stock the following week when they get their deliveries and they would phone to arrange delivery date. Time came and went. Again rang them to see what was happening and filled with excuse after excuse. This happened for a month before I had enough and asked for money back. They told me they would waiver the delivery fee which I found laughable and declined considering the circumstances and asked for a full refund. Was then told because "everyone pays by card nowadays" that they didn't have money in the till to cover the refund and I would have to come back at a later time. Came back at a later time near closing and they had basically called for back up by having a bouncer/roid head there to kick me out the shop. Obviously had no intentions of doing as they had said. Was about 2weeks later I went to the shop unannounced and refused to leave till I got my money back. The woman in the shop rang head office to notify them. Then handing me the phone and they said "well I could be a couple of hours" (obviously hoping that would deter me) with my reply being "well that's ok I'll just wait here" eventually some bloke came and gave me my money but tried to keep the delivery fee. The woman in the shop gave me the delivery fee out of her own pocket as I think even she was sick of how long I had waited. From paying for my item to not receiving it to getting my money back through sheer persistence it took nearly 3month. Then looked online. Found a better sofa bed at wayfair.com for £100 less with free delivery and it was delivered in 3days from ordering. Wish I had read reviews before embarking with anything to do with this joke of a business. DO NOT USE DURHAM BED CENTRE or their sister company THE FURNITURE SHOP/STORE they're quick enough to take your money but play hardball when getting it back. Also reported to trading standards.

Poor management

I know someone who worked for this company, they were more then happy to take the money and happily having ago at staff for faulty goods coning in. This member of staff happily tried to rectify problems with no back up from head office. There is bullying going on in these shops without any backup from management.

I’m looking to make a purchase but…

I’m looking to make a purchase but having read the review below I will definitely not be using this company.
I’m in the customer service industry and customer satisfaction has to be paramount!

Trust pilot has not let me down so far so I will certainly heed the warning bell for this company and look to purchase elsewhere.

Disgraceful shop and service

Disgraceful shop and service. Delivered bed in clearly the wrong colour and will not do anything about it. Do not buy from this shop as once they have your money, they simply don't want to know.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. Ordered and paid for bed, told it would be delivered in 4 weeks time, delivery day came & went, still no bed!
Rang the numbers given, one went to voicemail that was full, so couldn't leave a message, the second number was invalid. finally managed to get hold of someone a day later, who said there had been a mistake from delivery driver & they would deliver in a couple of days.
Two days later I rang to check they were definitely delivering that day to be assured they would. BUT, later that day received a call from them to say yet again they had messed up & bed wasn't being delivered for another week!
Finally received the bed a week later, but not the bed that was ordered!
Would definitely NOT recommend purchasing any furniture from this company.

Absoluly disgusted with these received…

Absoluly disgusted with these received my sofas on the 21st december 2019 by two delivery guys who didnt have a clue what they were doing. After a struggle getting it in my house into the living room I checked it and found damage on both sofas. One delivery guy took photos and I Did myself the sofas defiantly didn't look like it had just been made to order looked more like it had been dragged through a fence with rips scratches holes and the lining underneath hanging off . I handed over monies to the drivers and phoned Durham bed centre with my complaint and sent photos to the manager. To cut along story short after 3 and half’s weeks been told today no refund will be coming my way. I defiantly would not use these ripping people off selling damaged goods then offering a ex display for full price in return. Joke

Very poor service waited from 8.00am…

Very poor service waited from 8.00am rang four times to ask when my bed was arriving the customer services didn't know, just said that they deliver up to 11pm . I don't want a bed at that time I want to be in it . Was told i would be contacted one hour before delivery, didn't get no call , turned up at 9:30 pm had to get up at 3 am to go to work very poor service.
