A dishonest company
A dishonest company, that signs you up to a magazine, for £18.50 without your asking, whose on line phone number does not exist, who cannot be reached by any known means, making the only way to stop them is through your own card company, whatever the product you need, get it elsewhere.

Solar pest repeller
I recently bought a solar pest repeller from Easylife. It is supposed to repel vermin from your garden using high frequency noise and flashing lights. I followed the instructions and experimented with the settings and positioning of the device.
If anything this device seemed to make the problem worse, today I had visits from many Squirrels, multiple pigeons and a rat!
This is the most useless piece of equipment I have ever wasted my money on!
Once you buy something from this…
Once you buy something from this company they will bombard you with brochures despite being asked not to. Same with email. I don't think they have heard of GDPR. Their prices would be cheaper if they stopped sending out unsolicited junk mail.
CASHING IN ON COVID-19
There is no justification to charge £9.99 for 100 ml of SurSol Hand Sanitiser which is taking advantage of covid-19. Shame Easylife so avoid using this company for any purchase until their charges are fair
FRAUDSTERS
FRAUDSTERS
This company are out and out fraudsters. They keep your bank details and then charge your account for things you haven't even ordered. Here's whats happening to me.
27th February I purchased a 5 tier garden planter.
27th February I received 2 emails from Easylife
Email 1: Order confirmation with ETA of 4th March
Email 2: Despatch UpdateYour order number is: OR10914737
A few days later I received a call from Easylife asking me if I'd like to accept a free trial to their easylifemotorclub. I declined. The agent was extremely pushy, I explained it is not use to me and i wasnt interested as I won't be driving for at least 12mths due to serious health issues and that my car was under manufacturers warranty and told the agent not to send anything to me as it would go in the bin. He then said there is a £10 fuel voucher in the pack and I replied I wasnt interested as I couldnt use the voucher and didnt want to join the motor club. He said he would send the trial pack anyway and I could keep the voucher and either cancel the membership or accept it, he also said Easylife would take £1.99 from my account and I had 14days from then to cancel the contract, (the contract I didnt agree to, sign up to or accept). I told him there was no way I wanted the trial or the voucher and told him not to send me anything. The easlife telephone log will prove this, which I will ask them to give me a copy under the data access request terms.
After this I was still waiting for delivery of the planter, so I rang Easylife and they assured me it was on it's way and to wait a bit longer. While I was speaking to them I mentioned the bully boy tactics of the agent who wanted me to take up a free trail for easylife motor club, and he told me it was someone in their promotions department, and said he would contact them to make sure the trial was cancelled and nothing would be sent to me. However, this was not the case.
I received the trial pack to the motor club on Friday 25th April. So I telephoned them and told them that I did not want it, didnt agree to sign up for it, and didnt agree to pay for it and was insistent they do not send it to me and asked them to cancel it. The guy on the phone put me on hold and then came back and said he had cancelled it on their system and gave me his name, Michael. Infact Michael sounded very much like the pushy agent who tried to bully me into taking the plan in the first place, he has a very distinct accent and tone to his voice. I asked him if he wanted me to put in writing that I'd never signed up or agreed to take the trial and he said there was no need. I was relieved it had been cancelled. But my relief was short lived.
Saturday 26th April I was checking my online bank statement and saw Easylife had taken 2 payments from my bank account without my permission or knowledge.
17th April £1.99 taken from my account
25th April £59.99 taken from my account
Both for the Easylife motor club annual subscription.
I have contacted my bank who have said that if I did not accept the trial, did not sign up to the trial and that I had definately told Easylife I did not want the trial or become a member of their motor club then Easylife have committed a fraud and to contact them telling them I want my money back, £61.98 They have used my bank information without my permission and knowing I had told them I was not interested and didnt want to sign up to their motor club. My bank has now put a block on Easylife so they are not able to take anymore money from my account without my permission, however, this will not stop Easylife refunding me my money back into my account.
I am awaiting a response from Easylife. I will update this review as and when the case progresses.
In the meantime AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are total fraudsters!
UPDATE MONDAY 27 APRIL 2020
Finally managed to get through on the phone to this company this morning, after emailing them telling them I had informed my bank of their fraudulent use of my bank details.
Girl on the phone did apologize for their Promotions Team member who was responsible and has issued a full refund for both the £1.99 taken on 17/4 and the £59.99 taken on 25/4 informing me I should receive the refunds as 2 separate payments in 5-7 days.
PLEASE BE AWARE if you buy anything from this company they will keep your bank info, and if someone from their Promotions Team phones you and you refuse any offers they make, you will still be charged for those offers, check your bank statements regularly to see if they have taken any money from your account. Or better still get your bank to put a block on them as I have. This block won't affect any refunds they owe you.
Such a pity that their Promotions Dept are behaving in this way and being totally cavalier with other people's financial data. It reflects badly on the company as a whole.
If I don't update this review it means I have received my refund in 7 days
Do not use this company if you intend to return items
Do not use this company if you intend to return any items. I was informed the uplift would take place on a certain day but no time scale given. Uplift did not happen, again arranged for a certain day, did not happen, again arranged for a certain day, did not happen, the company then appeared on a day that was not arranged and uplifted the item. In total I spent 3 full days in my house waiting for the uplift. I contacted EasyLife each time and was informed that they had not even arranged it on one occasion even though I was told it had been. When I received my refund back it was £8 short, e-mailed the company and all I got was excuses that I was not due the £8 for various reasons even though I had my bank statement to prove what I paid for the item.I even had an e-mail stating that I would receive the full refund back. Any time I spoke to customer service they were really not helpful and when I e-mailed just got different excuses every time. Obviously the company are quite happy stealing customers money and do not seem to like items being returned so make it as hard as possible for customers to do this. Easylife say their GOAL is, "To provide our customers with products that they need via a fuss-free shopping experience with fantastic service that puts their mind at ease" Sounds good on paper but I can assure you it does not happen. Shame on you EasyLife.
Misleading advertisement - garden hose
Ordered a garden hose, from this company. No problems with the delivery, but it wasnt fit for purpose, ie it didnt expand as promised, so was useless for my purposes. I had made the purchase based on the advertised picture, which is misleading, as it states hose will expand upto 3x its size, and advertises unbeatable low price of £14.99, extends upto 100 feet. I purchased a 25ft hose expecting it to expand to around 75 feet. It didnt!! upon contacting customer services. I was asked if i had used the hose, to which I truthfully replied 'yes' and was told they couldnt exchange it, even though they agreed the advert was misleading, as it was no longer new. If I wanted to purchase an additional hose and join the 2 together I could, but they didnt sell the part needed to join the hoses. So I am stuck with a hose which is useless. absolutely crap company. There adverts are misleading!!! DO NOT USE !!!!!
I ordered a unit from here and after…
I ordered a unit from here and after the reviews which I should have read prior to ordering ... I cancelled my order roughly within 5 min of receiving my confirmation email. I got An email stating that depending on when I cancelled my order may already be on the way. I responded
And told them that couldn't be possible because I cancelled immediately. I received an email stating that they received my request and my order had been cancelled I would receive my refund in 5 to 7 days. Those days passed .. 3 months have passed actually been communicating through email and every time they state that they are sorry for the delay my return is being processed through PayPal and will be returned to my PayPal account. First off I paid with my card not pay pal account so it's bs and they are liars. I just want my money back that they insist is coming but magically never seems to get here... jerks
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Not only is the customer service non-existent, but if you end up not getting your product at all, you would have a better experience than I did. I ordered two wigs from a sale they had, and I knew it was too good to be true. I ordered a 14 inch wig and they give a bob cut as long as my chin. Both wigs weren't lace front, nothing as advertised and just all around were wigs you could get at Party City for Halloween. I'm 100% sure I'm not getting my $53 back, but better believe I'll try my best!
