I would like to give the highest compliments to Josefina Nahoe Mulloy. The island of Rapa Nui is an incredible place to visit, and Josefina totally made our trip even more awesome. Josefina is kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She speaks both English and Spanish, with impeccable fluency. And she is Rapa Nui native, and was able to communicate the names and meanings of the region. 

Her knowledge of the historical sights, and spots between the island are enriching. Over the course of the tour she shared the history and culture of the Rapa Nui island and its culture. I shared with her that I believe travels is a way to enrich a person, and she has made me a better person for being around her.

I need to add something else... Everywhere we went, she knew someone. She would give Iorana salutations, call them by their name and ask about their family. Most people would stop and hug her. This is not just a native custom, as I did not see other tour guides receive such warmth. Also, I would hear other tour guides with their groups, and clearly they did not have the knowledge that Josefina had about the island of Rapa Nui.

I cannot give enough praise about Josefina as a tour guide and person. Humbled and grateful our paths crossed.

Amazing service. Travel right now is stressful and there are a lot of details and concerns. Ecochile made them all go away. They checked every update, paperwork needed and current conditions. They even had COVID tasting come to our hotels. Immediate communications. We were able to just enjoy the trip without a single hassle. This was beyond any expectations.

The trip itself was divine. Every guide arranged was Ecotravel was fantastic. Intimate local knowledge. The hotels were excellent as well.

The locations were incredible. Kayaking. Trekking in Torres del Paine. Glacier hiking. Patagonia is unique place and we got to experience more than we could imagine.

So much fun. Great tour guides very personable and explained a lot.

Ecochile is a reliable, professional agency to work with. Response time to emails were great and my friend and I had no issues the week we traveled. Pick ups at airports, hotels, etc. were on time. All drivers and guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Most group tours were very small and the transportation was always comfortable. I highly recommend Ecochile to folks coming to Chile for the first time.

EcoChile put together a great trip for several of us. They worked with us to revamp and revise it until it was just what we wanted. Once the trip started, they continued to be on top of the details for us. All the guides we had were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Memory of a lifetime, everything was discussed and communicated well despite being countries apart, whilst on holiday we needed to make some changes and could speak to somebody straight away and everything was sorted. If only Ecochile serviced the rest of the world then I would need no other travel agent. Would definitely recommend, brilliant value for money and all of the hotels they found for us we 5* and beyond.

A flawless 2-week itinerary in Chile in Feb 2020 was planned for me. Company was very easy to work with and information and details were provided quickly. All of our tours and transports were great and occurred as planned on our trip. They provided a lot of helpful information and suggestions on what to do/where to eat in each area of Chile we visited. Would recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Chile.

I had a great experience with EcoChile. The guides were wonderful, and the trips were well-designed, educational, and exciting but comfortable.

I have the privilege of working with the owners of this business. Before our current arrangements, I had been on some of their tours and enjoyed them immensely. I do not have any investment in this company and this is not a gratuitous plug. It is however a note from a business person with businesses in 5 countries, to people that may be considering travel at this challenging time.

Recognizing that currently all travel businesses are struggling and so there would be some reticence to book trips, in particular into the future. I have worked with this business for some time. I would suggest that because of their size and because they are a tight, talented, aligned team that has made good business and personal decisions over time, that they are a great option. In fact a better option than the larger businesses. They also have the foot print and experience to get into more interesting places and back home if there are issues.

Because it's personal, it's possible to actually talk to a decision maker and have them understand a particular personal situation and have them respond.

I can't recommend this business highly enough. I have worked with hundreds of companies over 20 years, as a part of a personal mentoring approach. This is the only business I have continued to work with after the first challenge was resolved. Travel Safe. James.

We selected Ecochile for our travel to Chile in June/July 2019 when our travel group size increased from four to nine people (including our own 13-month old child). Our trip was planned around the 2019 solar eclipse and our goals were to visit Easter Island, the Atacama, La Serena and the Elqui Valley. Valparaiso and Santiago. From our first email to Ecochile, communication and responsiveness from their representative, Marina, was first class. Responses were super timely and detailed — answering all of our many questions and accommodating our group's various needs. Marina built a highly customized itinerary for us and was flexible to accommodate some of the parts we chose to manage ourselves (i.e. our independent/self-guided travel during the eclipse portion of our trip). in sum our pre-trip communications and planning with Ecochile could not have been any better. During our travels, Ecochile were again very supportive and communications with their operations representative, Patricia, via whatsapp were superb. We had a couple of logistical issues to resolve (delayed checked baggage for one) which were not Ecochile's responsibility, but they helped us resolve. Patricia was highly responsive to any questions we had during our journey. We loved having the support and service "touch point" that Ecochile provided as we traveled around Chile. Also having the itinerary built into an app they provided us with ahead of the trip was super handy while we were in country. As for what was arranged for our itinerary: the hotels we stayed in were wonderful and met all of our group's needs; the private tours and the tour guides were phenomenal. On Easter Island, our guide Hugo was incredible and in the Atacama, Mauricio was superb. Both of them provided interesting, thoughtful and engaging interpretation. Plus they were so supportive of traveling and touring with our 13-month-old daughter (who turned out to be the best traveler among our group!). Both guides commented how much they enjoyed having a very young person on their trip — and they both mentioned that this was the first time that they had had such a small person on their tours. Overall, for the land travel and itinerary that Ecochile arranged for us we have zero negative feedback as we were all impressed at how smoothly our travel went and how professional and accommodating our tours and activities were. We will be planning to return to Chile and Argentina in 2020 and will, without hesitation, work with Ecochile to help organize and plan our activities.

We (my wife and me ) have selected EcoChile Travel for organizing our two weeks tour to Chile in February. The background for this choice were positive reviews in Trip Advisor, very informative and transparent website but first of all excellent communication from the day when we went sent our inquiry. Marina was very quick in answering all our questions. She was also very patient to accommodate our changing ideas. We exchanged lot of e-mails and arranged two Skype talks but thanks to good communication we very quickly agreed satisfactory itinerary. This built an atmosphere of trust very important in particular when you deal with somebody from the other end of the world ( we are from Poland).
It needs to be stressed that our expectations were fully met. We visited Patagonia (Punta Arenas and Torres del Paine), Lake District and Atacama and all these places were beautiful. All hotels recommended by EcoChile were very good (including high class Patagonia Camp). Also local tour operators were reliable and logistics functioned very well. Oxana was taking care of us (on 24 hour basis) and she was reacting very quickly and effectively to all our questions and requests. Thanks to this we felt all the time safe and comfortable.
I can definitely recommend EcoChile Travel for everybody planning the trip to this beautiful country. It is not so easy to make all arrangements on your own and EcoChile is a very good choice for assistance in arranging all details in very professional way.

Ecochile was an excellent agency. They were flexible and cooperative in terms of the planning of my trip. The hotels and the local tour agencies were outstanding. There were no problems what so ever. Our four day stay in the Atacama desert organised by Echochile was such an amazing experience.
Leon our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, talented and personable. We could not have hoped for a better guide.

For my husband and I it was an epic trip for almost a month starting later November to be home for Christmas in Canada. It took me about a year to organize trip with Marina of Echochile. We did Santjago 3 nights, Atacama desert 3 nights, Lake District 3 nights Punta Arena 1 night Torres del Paine 4 nights, Calafate 4 nights and a week in Buenos Aires. Originally I shortlisted two local companies Echochile and Sayhueque; both girls were good and prices comparable, but Marina of Echochile was flawless in her communication keeping the same thread of e-mails and responding promptly, i.e. next day or in a day the latest and half way through I dropped the other girl explaining my rationale. Communication is key when you are dealing with the company overseas: it gave much needed sense of comfort. Logistically our trip was complex, all together we had 6 domestic flights and 5 international and numerous pick-ups and drop-offs. I must say every connection worked 100%, there was not a single hiccup. In my opinion if you want to see Chile/Argentina hire locals, you will save yourself a lot of frustration. Our ongoing contact Oxana was remarkable: responding to messages virtually within minutes, I hope that woman has a life of her own. Guides on locale will vary, some are better than others, but Echochile has limited control over it. In a nutshell if you hire Echochile you will hire a trustworthy, super efficient and highly knowledgeable agency that can cater to your every whim.
Personal notes for traveling couples. Consider the pace each of you wants to keep , e.g. I was excited about our high pace adventure, my husband needed some downtime. In fact I recommend reserving an extra 'do nothing' day at each destination. Yes, you will need a lot of clothes because of forever changing weather patterns: I recommend one suitcase with warm clothes and active wear and the second with light clothes and daily necessities. We did use absolutely every piece of clothes we brought and packed light: think layers. I would do it again and would hire Echochile in a heartbeat.
