Econofibre Reviews 

I have just started with a Hyperfibre 2gbps up and down service. I was only getting less than 1 gbps each way so contacted customer support. I can only praise their service as they were very responsive and worked with me to help them fix the problem. It is fixed now and their customer service was excellent from my experience.

I have Hyperfiber 2000 with them on an open plan so not locked in. I moved as they were the cheapest Hyperfibre plan. Fast switch over then amazing speed both up and down loading. No frills service with very basic website but for this price who cares. Never had any issues with the service.

Honestly, whilst these guys are cheap, there are definitely better options out there for the same price.

At the completion of my contract with another ISP, I switched to Econofibre because they were the same price, but I didn't have to continue locking myself into a contract. - The downside was, as soon as I switched I had a significant increase in latency, regardless of what server I was using on speedtest.net.

Econofibre advised that they would open a job with Chorus, however I never heard anything more on it. - When asked about 4 months later, they said they would advise me once they had heard something. - When I suggested they ask for an update, they just stopped replying to my emails.

On top of all this, there service was constantly crashing and there would frequently be periods of 30 minutes or so where I had no connection at all. I would email them and they would advise of issues within their network that they were racing to fix.

A month ago I sent them an email advising that I would switch to another ISP if I hadn't heard back by the end of the week. - I never heard back from them and I have now switched to another ISP!

AND guess what!? My latency has dropped from 40 to 5! Yay! - Turns out it wasn't an issue with Chorus, but was actually an issue with Econofibre.
