Responsible Insurance Company

I got into trouble while travelling in the Netherlands. The unknown infection hit my body, I had to go to the hospital. That visit costed a lot of money, I did not even expect to return it, but the company compensated all expenses the next day after the application was made. I recommend Ekta to all travelers who want to feel safe and sound in their travels.

False promises

I booked 5 weeks insurance for USA which costed around 2500$ for me and family. I was under the impression that they cover any medical emergency. During my stay my son got ear infection and I sent all the documents requiring refund since their company name not listed in any US hospital and medical centers which make me thing that they are fraud or not real company!!
The refund I asked for is 180$ which is nothing compared to what I paid .
They informed me that the file will be processed and take 20 business day maximum and today we passed the 20 days and they are not even replying to my emails !!!?

WORST

WORST!

My family just got denied from the flight and and to rebook 4 days after. So we are trying to edit the duration but told us that is not allowed since it already taken effect. How stupid! Paying for something that you havent even used coz of the rebooking. We are not even asking for cancellation. And another thing, our 3rd person was a BABY. Not even 2 yrs old. For this we ASKED for cancellation but also cannot.
And the funny part, only offered A DISCOUNT if we intend to buy a new insurance.

$155 USD IS NO JOKE! 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

High risk for your personal data

The company is registered in Ukraine and doesn’t follow GDPR requirements. There is a risk of your personal data being shared with third parties without your knowledge.

“The Insurer is released from the obligation to send a written notice to the Policyholder about the rights, purposes of data collection, and persons to whom the personal data of the Policyholder is transferred”

Here is the extract from their Terms and Conditions for their insurance:
2.13. By accepting the offer, the Policyholder confirms that:
2.13.1. got familiarized with the Rules and the Contract, fully understands the content of their provisions, and received all necessary explanations from the Insurer;
2.13.2. that he/she understands the meaning of his actions and is not influenced by error, deceit, violence, threat, etc.;
2.13.3. gives consent and the right to the Insurer, indefinitely, following the law, to receive, collect, process, register, accumulate, store, modify, update, use, and distribute (distribute, transfer, including cross-border transfer) information that, following the requirements of the law, constitutes personal data of the Policyholder (including personal data relating to health) to comply with the requirements of the law, this Contract and other agreements, including reinsurance, the exercise of rights granted to the Insurer by law or the contract, ensuring the implementation of tax relations, relations in the areas of accounting, audit, financial services, and assistance services, advertising, marketing, and actuarial research, service quality assessment. The use and dissemination of information constituting the personal data of the Policyholder are carried out exclusively to the extent necessary to ensure the fulfillment by the Insurer of the terms of this Contract and/or protect its interests. The Insurer is released from the obligation to send a written notice to the Policyholder about the rights, purposes of data collection, and persons to whom the personal data of the Policyholder is transferred;

POOR INSURANCE

I will never recomended this travel insurance to anyone.
After long time processing claim almost 1 year and they only payed me $1000 while my bill in hospital is $11,302.

They payed me based on region lol which it not stated in their policy. And the funniest is they will never pay you in full even you are doing many times appeal and i have cancellation ticket due to my acute sickness , they even denied.

Just avoid this company i was frustrated that loss so much expenses and they don't care with your condition for sure.

Another replied from me :
First poin that i did informed to your company by email when i have acute sickness on the same day and one of your team replied me said he/she was noticed it and i even replied again asking do i need anything to do aside informed your company? And your team replied me by saying just submit all the complete file for reimburse when i was discharge and the progress will take 2 weeks but in fact its almost 1 year you processing my claim at the end you pay me only $1000 based on region you said which it not state in policy so don't try to swift words at trustpilot. I did all the rules from the beginning and you can ask your team by urself i have the prove of my email too! You pay me $1000 pretend its enough to pay my phone expenses? lol, my medical expenses is bout $11.302 and you still could say you pay my phone expenses? what a joke!!

At EKTA Insurance, we take our obligations seriously, provided that the rules are adhered to. The foremost and most crucial point is to inform your insurance company immediately once an incident occurs and to maintain communication to coordinate efforts. We even reimburse your phone expenses for this purpose. Once you solely have decided on the clinic to visit, the additional package to order for your comfort, and the type of screening and treatment to undergo, we cannot guarantee the fulfillment of all your preferences. We believe that this is a reasonable communication with a client who has failed to fulfill his part of the obligations.

We are confident that you would have given us a 5-star rating if you had simply followed the contract's rules, just like the majority of our clients.

In their website they show that they have an average rating of 5* on TrustPilot but that is a lie. As you can see their rating is less than 3*. How can you trust a company which lies for their rating on TrustPilot?

ALERT EKTA IS A BIG SCAM!

The team is a mess in EKTA, they have poor management and miscoordination! They asked for a wrong documents, keeping me on waiting for 5 months with tones of excuses every time I follow up, then it turned out that the document was wrong and now they are delaying and saying there’s no staff to assist! It looks like they don’t want to give me my money back, but this message will save others money.

It was a mistake buying an insurance from this company! Be careful! if you want travel in peace "PICK ANOTHER COMPANY!"

Potential Credit Card Fraud

I was originally going to use this insurance for my travel and entered my card details, however, before actually pressing purchase I decided to check reviews.

After reading the reviews I decided to go against it. A couple of hours later I had a call asking if I want to go ahead with the policy or not, I refused.

After that I was receiving OTP requests for large and small purchase amounts which I did not make. This was the only site I have attempted to make a purchase or entered a card number in for over a week.

Be very aware before using this site.

You are correct, you have received an email from EKTA company. It includes the amount of your insurance policy (smaller amount) and the coverage amount (large amount) that will cover your expenses in case of illness during your trip. Everything you selected on the website is included, nothing more.

This was done so that you do not have to enter your information again and waste your own time in case you decide to continue with the purchase.

Had the misfortune of not researching…

Had the misfortune of not researching EKTA and used them for insurance for family holiday to East Africa. Sadly luggage was never delivered, and After 10 weeks of chasing eventually came up with non sense that they would not cover the lost airline luggage. Slow, and clearly looking for every reason not to support fair claims. Will do my research better next time!

They deserve a good review

For many reasons I didn't buy a travel insurance with EKTA, but I can tell you that I was able to have answers to all my questions. I contacted them threw whatsapp, mails, and they called me more than once.
I think it's not without reason they have so many good evaluations.

I contacted insurance agent in Telegram immediately and soon a company country representative contacted me. He gave me hospital address where I should go. They did an x-ray and found no fracture. Had a policy From this company for the first time and not pity about that.

Lontano da questa assicurazione, sul loro sito ektatraveling mostrano che hanno 4,9 di ratings con 1030 recensioni su Trustpilot in realtà ne hanno 58 con 3,6 (59 con la mia adesso).
Mostrano il pagamento in dollari poi con un doppio passaggio ti fanno pagare in valuta Ukraina, il prezzo risulta del 20%più alto rispetto al cambio dollaro/euro.
Mostrano la possibilità dell’utilizzo di whatsapp ma il numero non esiste.
Dicono di avere 2174 recensioni su google ma ne hanno solo 33.
Purtroppo mi sono accorto solo dopo aver pagato della inaffidabilità della compagnia, ovviamente non mi rimborseranno. Ma voi Salvatevi non fate come me!

They show the payment in dollars then with a double pass they make you pay in Ukrainian currency, the price is 20% higher than the dollar / euro exchange.
They show the possibility of using whatsapp but the number does not exist.
They say they have 2174 reviews on google but they only have 33.
Unfortunately, I only realized after paying that the company was unreliable, obviously they won't refund me. But you can Save yourselves!

While generating insurance policy, we mention it's real price. According to this price, we create payment order. You can see policy price in invoice currency right before the payment. We do not charge any extra fees. At the same time, if invoice currency is different from account currency, double conversion is possible. Such conversion is done by your bank automatically. This process lies at the side of payment processing centres and banks and we, as an insurance company, cannot influence it. As well as receive extra income out of it.
