Difficult to contact with them to return an order
Difficult to contact with them to return an order.
Sent an email to sales at-sign electric-solar.co.uk requesting a return of the items but 4 days later I did not get a response. Sent a follow up email, but still no response.
Electric-Solar answering machine disconnected my call without allowing me to leave a message (tried to contact on Monday and Wednesday, with the same effect). I chose option 2 (for the electrical services business) and left a message, but still no response.
Eventually got in contact through this (now edited) Trustpilot teview.
Good prices but lacking the after-sales service you may need.

I hope your well. I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.
We are certain these fuses are DC compatible. Please look at the attached datasheet DC applications from Jean muller themselves.
I have also attached their DC manufacturers confirmation certificate.
In various places it does not state these are suitable for DC applications , how ever when used in a DC installation their characteristics change slightly but can still be used and installed safely.
I hope this helps clear things up for you.
We are still more then happy to return the items for a full refund if you still require this. Please print and use the attached free shipping label to the package and pop to your local post office.
We would also appreciate your reviews altered to reflect the new information about the products in question.

Overall ok - however they offer a price match guarantee, and having found it cheaper elsewhere they just ignore my email.
Looks like poor communication occurs a little bit too often judging by other reviews

Undelivered
I ordered some solar mounting kit on the 8th June, marked as shipped on the 9th but never showed up, and tracking was nonexistent.
Sent 3 emails which were ignored, left a message on the answering machine which was ignored, and eventually got through to the main/sister company number on the 19th, where the guy I spoke to promised to track it down and call me back. 24 hours later, no call back, no emails, nothing.
If it wasn't for the positive reviews here I'd assume this was just a scam to steal my money, but either way I cannot recommend ordering from electric solar.
Hopefully I can get my money back via my bank.

I firstly want to apologise for the delay in contacting yourself regarding the above order.
We are a new start up business as of the end of February this year and we are still finding our feet with online retail.
I can now see despite the long delays the shipment has arrived safely at your address.
I would just like to make you aware that we have lost money on this transaction, and I have attached our invoice for your scrutiny.
It has been very difficult getting this business off the ground and every day I am learning to try and better ourselves and to provide a good service for all our customers.
As a sign of good will I am going to fully refund you for the full cost of the items to try and make amends for the lack of communication and delay in the delivery.
Please do keep us in mind for anything else solar related in the future, we are due to move into our new premises by the end of the summer and will be in a much better position with phone lines, couriers and stock levels.

Quick to despatch the pv isolator…
Quick to despatch the pv isolator switch, but not sold with the cable glands. Unfortunately the product information did not state they were not included but as the item photo showed glands fitted, my assumption had been that the glands would arrive with the switch. They didn’t. The company offered to send some out and updated the item description but the cable glands never appeared. Fitting the cable requires fork crimp ends which gives a good connection.
I purchased the cable glands and the switch is now in place and works well.

in light of the missing cable glands we have now ameneded the description highlighting they are not included with the isolator.
the termianals require a fork connector to be crimped onto the conductor to allow a sound electrical connection.
i hope this is to your satisfasaction .

Professional service except communication.
Matt when you could get hold of him was a very polite and helpful person, a pleasure to engage with. Service was prompt and professional.
Would I use again definitely if they can sort out their communication issues which Matt says is being addressed this month with new premises and phone lines.
