Elmtree Luxury Pet Hotel Reviews 

We booked our 5 year old border collie for 2 and a half weeks in August. When we collected him we could see him live on the security camera before he knew we were there and he looked genuinely happy. He was wagging his tail so we could tell he was having a good time their and got on with staff. The verbal feedback from staff looking after him was positive. He was lovely and clean. He had two spa baths in the time he was there, included in the price and all food was included.Its the first time we have used Elstree but we will certainly bring him again.

For the second year, we are using the services of this wonderful hotel for our Siberian Husky, Axel, during our summer vacation. The conditions are excellent, the staff as well, and they care for the animals with great love. We can hardly find a better place for our boy.

Its the first time we have used ElmTree, and were really impressed with the service and friendliness of the Team. From the moment of enquiry, to drop off and collection, everything was dealt with great efficiency and care. Nothing was too much trouble and made us feel at ease straight away, as it was the first time we have left our darlings behind, and of course felt a little anxious. Maya and Simba had a great time, by the looks of it (pictures shared on Instagram by team) Their grounds are spacious and well maintained. Looking forward to be back.

We've been leaving our terrier at Elmtree for a few years now - generally for short breaks. We had never previously used a kennel and before the first stay, we visited Elmtree to see what it was like. It was a very impromptu visit but all the dogs seemed happy and well cared for and the various 'rooms' had heating and cooling, depending on the season. We always take our dog’s bedding, blanket and food in and he goes off happily and without a backwards glance. Elmtree are happy to send/post photos of our dog and, although we’ve never felt the need, a CCTV link is available. Angie and all the staff are friendly, approachable and helpful and we have no anxieties about leaving our dog with Elmtree.

It was the first time my five year old at times reactive and anxious dog would be away from home and in kennels for 5 nights. He has gone through recent minor trauma so I was apprehensive - as we know that if they suffer we suffer - so I read many reviews and had many conversations with the staff members. Ultimately all my concerns/ worries/thoughts/what ifs disappeared, for the following key elements which I hope will help other readers and why I've given Elm Tree Canine Country Club five stars:

* Focus on Pet Well-being & Happiness:
By having provided all relevant details required on my dog's needs as well as behavior aspects to Elm Tree, they were in turn able to manage him correctly and indeed he was absolutely fine. On his return he was the same as I left him. They really do everything to mimic the safe place that he would have at home. They focus on working at your pets own pace so a very individualized approach.

* Cleanliness & Safety:
Everything was polished, spacious, bright, interiors, glass doors so the dogs could see the corridor, it felt very much like a mini holiday hotel. Safety was paramount and this is all explained.

* Staff:
Experienced staff members who were open and accepting of anything needed to be discussed. I believe most if not all have their own dogs, some I saw when I went to visit initially. It is such a lovely community.

* Communication:
Owners can choose should they wish to have a video link to their pets etc, I chose just to have the odd photo initially but then I didn't need to see any more. Communication was always clear and responses were quite fast, even if they are busy they always have time for you this is what I've noticed.

* Activities & Enrichment:
There are set routines which is really important for any pet, but ultimately it is up to the actual individual pet what they want to do. As well as daily walks, there are options that owners can choose eg training etc.

Angie at reception has been absolutely paramount for giving me peace of mind. Tom equally engaging and very kind. My dog's carer, Sammie, was five star, remarkable actually I did not expect all of this.

Another great experience at Elmtree, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Lunas is still a little anxious on arrival, but is soon relaxed and happy to go off. On collection I am always given fed back of what she has been up, she especially loves her walks in the forest and is also well groomed. It makes going on holiday so much easier, there’s no worry about leaving your pet at the Elmtree.

Elmtree looked after my dogs so well. One is quite nervous but they looked after him to the extent he was really relaxed in their care. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

A highly professional team who really care about dogs. The kennels are large and spacious and have CCTV which is a real plus. Our rescue dog can be quite anxious around other dogs and the team took special care about socialising her and ensuring she got plenty of exercise. She was really happy and loved all the staff and that made us happy too! Having looked at lots of kennels we really would not let our beloved dog stay anywhere else. Yes it’s expensive but it’s also exceptional.

It was the first time I had used a boarding kennel. My fox terrier (not the best behaved canine) was looked after so well, coming home super relaxed and well groomed. Great location, and the accommodation and environment are stunning, and the staff so kind, caring and professional, great place for boarding a pet.

Our kitten came home calm, well rested and cared for. We can tell she had a good stay, thank you. We will certainly book her in again in the future

Having had a conversation with my cats Burt and Mini about their recent (2nd Stay), at Elm Tree cat hotel, I can confirm that they were very impressed with their accommodation. Their only complaint was that they did not have a four poster bed (as is their preference), to sleep on and that there were no hooman tootsies to attack at 4:30am. Other wise they were very impressed, and I have been reliably informed that they when their slaves have to leave them, they are more than happy to come and see everyone at Elm Tree.

Elmtree is a completely amazing facility. My pup can be nervous and he knows what he doesn’t and does like. He loves doggie day care. He waits by the door. He doesn’t look back when he’s off to day care. He’s excited and loves staff! Literally adores staff!!!!! He comes home tired and happy. They are also super flexible. I’ve literally asked at 6.30 in the morning if he can go in that same day and they’ve come straight back and said yes! Our precious boy lives Elmtree and so do we.

Mac is my 14 year old Westie, Wolaf is my 14 month old GSD. They have just come back from their 3rd stay at Elmtree. They came back bouncy and happy as always. The staff all across the board are so friendly and accommodating! They take great care of all my dogs needs and requirements. The staff looking after them give great feedback on their stay. My 2 were even hand fed whilst there which is no mean feet as they are on a raw diet!! We collected them and they had both had lovely baths as well! Thank you to Elmtree for the lovely care and attention given to my 2 boys. Excellent as usual!

We were recommended by a friend, we visited to look round, great place and our cockerpoo cyril seemed to have the best time ever, he came back the same as he went in.
Professional friendly staff, luxury kennels and very clean, will board Cyril here again.

I left my beloved Enzo for the first time . He is a nine-month-old golden retriever puppy… When he first arrived he was so scared and I could see from the webcam that he was waiting the whole time for me to come back to pick him up and he couldn't even sleep and resisting sleep. I was so worried, sad and anxious and I called them to tell them. A few minutes passed from our phone call and they intervened immediately. They made Enzo's room super cozy with blankets and pillows and filled him with cuddles and reassured him. Immediately after Enzo slept like an angel for hours and then went for walks in the woods and he was so happy and relaxed! The videos they sent me showed me all his happiness. He was there for more than two weeks and has always been very well and in perfect health! The great advantage of seeing him from the webcam 24/h and in the videos/photos sent via Instagram made me happy and reassured that my dog ​​was happy on a luxury vacation and not just in a kennel! And then I must say once again how kind, loving and always available all the staff members are!
If I needed reassurance or to ask something I wrote an email and within 2 minutes I received a response or a phone call.
This cannot be rated enough. I’d would give them hundreds stars! What they do for dogs is priceless!
And you can feel the love and passion they put into it. They are beyond expectations and I recommend everyone to entrust their beloved dogs to them.
From now on Elmtree will definitely be Enzo's second home away from home and the staff will be his second family!

I’m always impressed with how caring the staff I meet appear to be. I’m very grateful for the Instagram updates and the responsiveness to my messages while our dog is there. He always comes home a happy boy and slots back in to his normal routine with no problem.

Great service all round!

Although I miss Alfie massively, I know he is safe and well cared for at Elmtree. This was his third visit and I know that he is looked after and the team are always happy to give updates if I want to check in to see how he is doing and send me pictures which I really appreciate. All the staff are welcoming and friendly too.

Would Highly recommend Elmtree Pet Hotel, they took very good care of my two nervous cats. It is the best cattery we have used and will definitely be booking with then again in the future.
