Evaluating 39 reviews, reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the incredibly friendly staff and exceptionally knowledgeable tour guides who always make the entire trip fun, engaging, and truly memorable. Visitors also love the stunning village location, noting that exploring the authentic sets brings the popular television show wonderfully to life. However, some people mentioned significant difficulties with the overall organization of coach transfers and experienced long waiting times between different tour segments. A few other reviewers also felt that the deep gravel pathways caused unexpected mobility issues, making it rather challenging for guests to move around comfortably.

A very very enjoyable tour

A very very enjoyable tour. Rob was our tour guide ( he’d only been there 7 weeks but was clearly an Emmerdale fan for a long time as he knew his stuff) was outstanding. Bright, cheery, knowledgeable and clear in his directions. Couldn’t really fault the tour at all. We were extremely lucky to have beautiful sunny (with a chill) weather so walking around wasn’t a problem. If it’s chucking it down, being outside for 90 mins or more could be a bit though so check the weather before you arrive and make sure you have a suitable coat with you. There’s also very few seating areas too so kept that in mind too. Coach journey up from the hotel was fine albeit it a little cramped. I did think it was a little crowded up there at points. With 50 people on each bus and multiple groups being on the set at the same time I did think there were a lot of people around. Obviously the tour guides were doing there best not to overrun one group with another but….
Plenary of merchandising options are available which I did find quite expensive but it’s down to choice. Just a couple of things to mention if you are booked at Weetwood Hall Hotel because you thought the coach would be picking you up from there, we’ll they don’t now. We had to drive another 6 miles to Harewood Estade and park there to pick up the coach which takes to to the secret location. The other thing was that I wasn’t impressed with the holding area when you get off the coach when you first get there. There’s a cafe but it was closed but you could get a tea/coffee/crisps/chocolate and of course all the merchandise there. But the area just looked untidy, cluttered and just a bit of a mess really. I just felt it was a disappointing arrival area. I suspect when the actors go home at the weeks, stuff just gets shuffed away to make room for the merchandise stuff but to me it just looked unprofessional.
Nevertheless, all that was pushed aside literally when you got on the tour. Everything is there but you can get to seeing all of it except when you’re driving past in the coach like the Dingles Farm, Eric Pollards house nor the Sharmins house. Neither can you get to see Home Farm as it doesn’t exist. You can however get to see all the other favourites in the village but you can’t go in. Having a pic and a pint in the Woolpack wouda bin grande. Never mind I’ve still got a 100+ other pics and memories I’ll cherish forever. Shame I could have run into Tom. His story line would have come to an abrupt end?

Great tour

Serena, the tour guide was incredibly patient with my dad who is disabled. He was the slowest out of the group but she was amazing with him. Plenty of benches to sit in around the village. The coach transport needs to be updated badly, as a coach driver myself the coaches were ridiculously old, incredibly
Uncomfortable and non standard industry sized seats. For someone who has never seen an episode of the tv show I’d recommend it

incredibly atmosphere

Every member of staff was smiling, polite and saying hello when passing them, the atmosphere was cracking, the site was immaculate, the view was insane! Clemmy our guide was amazing, really knew her stuff was so clear when talking, great sense of humour. Was surreal being on set and seeing everything in the flesh. What an incredible day! Went with my Aunt, uncle and mother, and we all really enjoyed it. Will remember for the rest of our lives! Thank you so much

Emmerdale Village Tour

Took my better half for the tour today. Opted for the 'meet a celebrity' tour, where one of the cast makes an appearance. Their identity is kept secret until the very last minute. The rain had stopped by the time we went, so that was fortunate.

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. Our tour guide (Sarah) was very knowledgeable, and good fun. We were all given plenty of time to take photos.

Even though I've never watched the show, I still enjoyed it, as we were told about of all the tricks used behind the scenes to make the viewing experience better, and obviously my better half loved every minute.

As an added bonus, and a complete surprise, we were the first tour group to have a drink in the Woolpack. The official photos will appear on social media at some point.
