Straightforward and easy to use website, transactions (withdrawals and deposits) go through very fast. Works great with Kraken.
Don't hesitate to use it, ETANA is a trustworthy and reliable company. Has worked great for me.

This company is an embarrassment. They got whatever license they needed to be a money mover for Kraken, and they built the jankiest, most barely functional web1.0 system to fulfill their minimal duties, and then they just left it there without ever making a single improvement. As of right now their website is actually unreachable, which is a new low even for them.

Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves for having zero pride in their work.

They asked first documents, then finally changed and asked for another bunch of private documents, when then finally no news or anything during 3 months they just decided to close the account and not even letting me reply or asking anything and gave fake link to "open a new ticket".
Now they got tons of informations and you can't even say anything about it, or asking them to delete it as they don't even reply

I always had a bad feeling about this company. It's a shame kraken uses them and I feel it reflects poorly on the image of Kraken being associated with them. I made a deposit which was not smooth at all then never used them again. Occasionally I try to login there over the years and often the website malfunctions and I wasn't able to. Fast forward a few years I get an email saying the following: "We are notifying you of the pending closure of your account due to its inactivity over the past year. Your account is scheduled to move into a closed status on May 26, 2025. In order to prevent your account from being closed, you have until May 23, 2025 to log into your account, conduct a transaction or reply to this e-mail notice indicating your desire to keep the account open. If no action is taken, the account will be closed and may require you to resubmit documentation to reactivate it. In addition, your account may be subject to various fees associated with this process."
Looking at the other review this is them saying we will take your money if below 150usd. Sound professional and in good faith? The icing on the cake is despite receiving this email when I try to login to the website this SAME EMAIL has no registered account with Etana im told. I also use a password manager so it's an issue manufactured by Etana themselves. Really glad I have no money in there. Honestly I don't know how they are allowed to continue operations. Somebody should start a class action.

I made an Etana account as an intermediary between a crypto trading platform and my bank account. I verified my Etana account using the required ID and paper bills, etc, but once I did all of that and I tried to withdraw my money, they said they needed me to verify my account by providing them with a passport. I don't have a passport and at the time I couldn't afford to travel outside of my country, so spending $400 just to get money that was mine was a little too much work.

Thankfully, some time down the road, their systems seemed to have glitched out somehow, allowed me to initiate the withdrawal again and they once again said they needed me to verify my account with a passport. Thankfully, the withdrawal went through without the passport verification.

DO NOT USE ETANA FOR ANY REASON.

I performed a national wire transfer from my Citizens account to the account specified by Etana Custody in the deposit instructions, as I've done many times in the past. This time, it was never confirmed, and despite having written many times to them through the support ticket that's automatically opened, and through new support tickets (generated when contacting support), they have never replied back to me, nor recognized my funds.

Etana has recently been flagged as a SCAM company, and unfortunately I'll have to agree with that, though previously I had okay experiences with them. The fact that they would never get back to me, is extremely disappointing (mainly for the fact that they're Kraken's official custody partner). I am trying to reverse the wire now and sue them.

I have been using Etana for some years and suddenly the company changed from a trustful one to a scam one. I am now so frustrated and disappointed. I sent a few thousand USD to my Etana account last month so that I can transfer fund to Karken account. I checked with my bank and they proved that the fund has been successfully sent to the receiving bank and the recipient (Etana). Unfortunately, Etana just replied to me once asking me explaining about the bank I used and then stopped communicating with me. I sent multiple emails to ask about the status of my hard-earned money, but no one responded to my request. I instructed my bank to recall the transfer I made and see if I am lucky to get back my fund. Even though I am still able to access into my Etana account, but some important information disappeared. That is very unusual and something bad must happened to this company. If I am unable to get my money back in the coming days, I have no choice but report to the police and regulators. Hope they can help me to trace my fund and stop Etana from scamming people.

Horrible sign up process, it is endless! Try signing up if you live overseas, next to impossible! A nightmare of a task just to withdraw $$ to my US bank and I will have to find a different exchange than K****n.

Note: They wanted more details of my experience. Here's what you do Etana: Find someone off the street and watch them struggle with your sign up process. But they know this and nothing will be done. Maybe that's why people are moving away from the West and moving to Asia or South America, to get away from this nonsense. Anything financial is super easy in Asia. It's YOUR money and you can do as you want with it. I found a different route so no Etana. Ever.

If there was a more complex way to retrieve your money they would have thought of it! Over the past two year its to the point its clear they are making money from holding on to our money as long as they can!

Account closed due to circumstances I have a screen shots. An account with less than $1000 US in transfers I'm in Jamaica, black people third world countries must not have anything! Extreme prejudice!

We understand that this may come as a surprise, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Etana Custody has taken this action in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may transfer your remaining funds off the Etana platform prior to 11/18/2024. Please note that due to minimum wire amount requirements, Etana Custody is not able to process withdrawal wires for amounts under $150 USD or equivalent. Any remaining balance under $150 will be swept for fees after that time.

The sign-up process is a pain. Various errors. Address complete that completes the address but then you either can't save it or it isn't complete when you are able to save it. Even though it was fully completed by their tool. Customer service is cold and only sends standard replies blaming the customer for not using the right browser (tried many browser you are supposed to support, mate) or other reasons.

But once you're past the sign-up hurdle the service works perfectly, although transfers do take a long time and costs aren't always clear.

They closed my account without a reason, after I made a larger transaction. I am very disappointed with etana. I have never had something like that. That is the message I got:

Etana Custody blocked my account, leaving me unable to access my funds or communicate effectively. When I tried to contact them, they insisted that I had to use the email registered on my profile, even though it seems they deliberately blocked my email from receiving or sending messages.
They have been holding my $20,000 hostage for over four months. They claim they sent the money, but my bank never received it. They refuse to provide the SWIFT details or even respond to my inquiries.

I have relied on Etana Custody’s services for over 5 years and have completed multiple transactions (mostly onboarding fiat to the Kraken exchange). They are a reliable service and I have felt well supported. On the handful of occasions that I have needed to reach out to the support team, all of my concerns and/or questions have been addressed and I’ve been extremely satisfied.

Most recently, I encountered a technical issue that prevented me from accessing my account. Specifically, I tried logging in and was met with a prompt to "Please complete your profile." As a result, I couldn’t access my account, or my deposited funds. While stressful, my stress was exacerbated further by a recent post to trustpilot.com (i.e., “Avoid Etana Custody…”) that suggested a number of major concerns, including the user being locked out of their account.

Despite my concerns, I’m pleased to share that once again my interactions and overall experience with the customer support team were excellent. They were quick in responding to my inquiry, and promptly addressed my issue (I was informed that a recent tech rollout had caused a few issues with some customer profiles).

Without hesitation, I recommend Etana Custody. In my experience, they are an extremely competent and professional service, and a pleasure to work with.

ETANA charges me fees without carrying out my transfer

I transferred funds from KRAKEN, from my ETANA account to my bank account in Panama.

ETANA validated my transfer and deducted charges. My money disappeared from ETANA for 24 hours without reappearing on my bank account and then finally reappeared on my ETANA account without any explanation, without having made the transfer and without having paid me back the transfer fees they had deducted from me.

I then sent emails to ETANA without receiving any response from them.

I don't understand why KRAKEN forces its customers to go through ETANA without offering them other, more professional and honest intermediaries.

I hope that ETANA will solve my problem very quickly, without me having to go through legal channels to make myself heard.

So far so good in setting up an account. However I suggest Etana address the review from a customer calling Etana a scam. A great way to scare off clients. Never a good idea to leave these complaints with no response.

Do not use Etana custody to transfer funds to Kraken! It is a scam.

I deposited some money and after 2 weeks it still hasn’t shown up in my account.
I’ve send many emails to their support but they only replied once and it was very low effort and unhelpful.

I would strongly urge everyone to not use Etana as it is a scam.

If possible just use direct transfer to kraken or another option BUT STAY AWAY FROM ETANA

Edit: I’ve written numerous emails to the Etana support team but there has been no response for a whole week. I strongly urge everyone to avoid this company if you don’t want to get scammed and lose your money. It has stopped me from trading and it’s a huge frustration.

Etana seems to have a strong commitment to preventing money laundering, which is beneficial for the community. They consistently monitor each customer's activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
