CGT Calculations Way Off
The initial CGT calculation had me owing $2k in taxes. After I thoroughly reviewed the accountant's spreadsheet and requested that numerous mistakes be corrected, my return was finalised with an $8k refund! Do your own CGT calculations, or at a minimum know what you're expecting the tax outcome to be!
The accountants were helpful and friendly, but they just didn't get the numbers right!

Estimate vs reality is very different. I lodged and paid expecting a refund and overnight am told I have a tax debt. No human or personal interaction.

Not good this year.
We happily used etax for the last couple of years however this year was a poor experience. I submitted my return and paid the fee and didn't hear from them again. I requested a refund and got a chatbot to cancel my return. Disappointed, not sure what happened and they have not even contacted me to address the issues. Seems consistent with other poor reviews. Responses seem generic this year, something has changed and it isn't good.
