We have just moved into Longbridge Retirement Village and absolutely love it already. Our apartment is beautiful. All the staff at Longbridge/ Extra Care, have been extremely helpful and we have had the warmest of welcomes by the whole team. Lynda Williams was our sales advisor. She has been amazing as our house sale fell through three times. Lynda helped us to keep positive and kept us updated on available apartments, and reassured us that we would find the right apartment for us. We look forward to many happy years in our new home.

I needed to take the time to write this review as when you experience exceptional care and service I feel it's right to acknowledge it.Our dad needed some support in his mid eighties but he also needed his independence. We looked for a solution and could find nothing till we found Larkhill Village. It has provided the perfect solution; the canteen provides great food everyday if needed, the activities, the support is there but so is his own flat and space. All our lives have changed because of this wonderful place. What makes it really special is the staff and the community -so friendly. A special mention has to be for Julie H who went above and beyond in helping us all through this process-she is one in a million. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Over the past two years Katie has made an incredible difference to my mums life.
When mum first started she was in a wheelchair and had very limited strength and mobility.
Katie took the time too understand her individual needs and devised a personal exercise programme specifically designated to build strength in her arms and legs.
What makes Katie so special is not only her knowledge and expertise but the way she motivates and encourages mum.She has an amazing ability to read mums mood and know when to push her a little further or when she simply needs some extra encouragement or support.
Watching mums strength confidence and independence grow over the last two years has been truly amazing.
We are incredibly grateful for all the patience dedication and positivity Katie has shown mum.
She has made a wonderful difference to her life.

Fabulous place, perfect for my parents, who are both looking forward to moving in. So many fantastic facilities, and staff who know and care for all the residents. The apartment itself has loads of room and the scope to put you own stamp on the property. It’s a real peace of mind for me and my sister knowing they are moving in here.

We moved into Lark Hill Village about seven months ago.The process of buying our bungalow was seamless , simple and virtually stress free due to the tireless work of Julie Hughes, who always seemed to be one step ahead.
The Village is a very friendly place, the staff rapidly learn your name and are extremely helpful if you have a problem. There is a great deal to going on if you wish to join in and the grounds are very restful if you want a gentle walk away from it all.
It was a huge step to move from our large family home into a two bedroom bungalow but we both agree we wished we had done it sooner.

We went to Solihull village to day to view an apartment with our parents with a view to buy. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely and staff spoke to all residents by name. In my mums words the atmosphere is first class. Solihull village is so clean with fantastic facilities and the apartments were fantastic. We walked out having filled in the paper work with an apartment reserved.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Experience with the ExtraCare Sales Team
I recently had the pleasure of watching the ExtraCare sales team, especially Julie Hughes, help my brother-in-law find and move into a lovely new apartment at Larkhill Village in Nottingham and I have to say — her kindness and professionalism made all the difference.
From the very first conversation 9 months ago, Julie was warm, patient, and genuinely invested in finding the right fit, not just closing a deal. She kept in touch consistently throughout the entire process, answering questions promptly and making sure nothing fell through the cracks. It's rare to find a sales team that combines that level of attentiveness with real professionalism, but Julie managed both effortlessly.
Thanks to her guidance and care, my brother-in-law is now settled into a beautiful apartment he's thrilled with. I can't recommend Julie and the ExtraCare team enough — they treat people like people, not transactions. Five stars

I visited Extracare Solihull village yesterday to view apartments with my Daughter. We were very impressed with the facilities and the apartments we viewed and now need to consider all aspects of a move there. The sales consultant Glenni was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I feel that the Extra Care shop in Woolaton, Nottingham, deserves a mention as it’s such a lovely store. The Manager is warm and reassuringly professional and the volunteers are always welcoming and helpful. Another plus is that pooches get a treat and lots of fuss, which our dog absolutely loves.
The quality of items is fabulous and I’ve never left there empty handed! It’s very clean, not overly stocked and displays are always tasteful and enticing. It isn’t local to us but we always call in when we visit family in the area because it’s such a gem.

I have lived here at Earlsdon Park village for nearly 5 years now and it was the best decision that I could have made at this stage of my life. Since moving here I have been so busy with my social life, there are lots of different groups that you can join if you wish to and there is a very good entertainment programme. The Beauty of living here is that you feel you are in a safe environment and don’t have to worry about being broken into when you are away. All the stress of looking after your property and maintaining it, is gone, you are free to just enjoy your retirement.

Hagley Road Retirement Village.
I have lived here now for 10 months and have loved every minute of it.
I had been visiting friends here for about 2 years and never wanted to go home, I certainly didn't think I would end up living here.
I visited one day and it was open day, my friend pushed me to speak to Lynda Williams, after chatting, Lynda took me to see a 1 bed apartment, that she thought i would like. It wasn't yet completely empty, which gave me time to think, no pressure. I did like the apartment and the location of it.
I went home to discuss with my sons and did some sums, to see if I could afford to live here.
I did hear my younger son say to Lynda, when he came to view again with me. I know mum, will be safe here, as I did live alone.
Lynda helped with finding an estate agent and solicitor, both of which she has a good relationship with.
My house went on the market the 1st June 2025 and I moved 8th October 2025.
It's very stressful moving from a 2 bed house to a 1 bed apartment.
Lynda was always there to reassure me and spoke to other agencies on my behalf, if I need help.
I love loving living here and have made so many friends. My mobility has not been great, but so many here, help, advise and support me.
All the staff are very approachable and deal with any queries I may need help with.
You will never be lonely here, so many activities going on that you can join in any of them, if you wish too.
I am so glad i moved here and I have never looked back or missed my house.
Thank you Lynda, it wouldn't of happened without you.

My Mum is a resident at Earlsdon Park Village, and has been for almost ten years.
Throughout these years there have been many ups and downs, most especially when she was widowed a few years ago.
As Mum's needs changed ,we were able to have in house support from the care team to assist Mum with the activities of daily living which enables her to maintain her independence as far as possible.
The carers Mum sees are both caring and professional and made the transaction to her accepting help easy.
After a recent further stay in hospital ,with the help of Kathryn's coordination skills,we were able to have a ward led discharge home to Earlsdon Park where an amended care plan was put in place,so Mum had confidence that all her needs would be met and she could relax and continue to enjoy her home.
A big thank you to all the care team my brother and I greatly appreciate the professionalism and kindness you have show us during this stressful time.
Sue Hewitt and Keith Jones.

We visited one of the locations in Earlsdon Park in Coventry and was blown away by the professionalism from Glenny and her team.
The village itself accommodated a diverse set of needs and was situated in walking distance from the town centre.
It’s certainly made my mum look forward to her next phase as an adventure!

I moved into Lovat Fields in 2012 when I was 71 and my husband 80. From earliest days we were happy and involved in the life of the Village. My husband died in 2024 and I received huge support from the staff and other residents. If I feel a bit low I can go down to the Bistro and ask if I can join someone sitting at a table, I have never been refused. There are special evening meals put on monthly which I enjoy with a group of friends. I love to invite people for a cup of coffee or lunch and show them round. My dear daughters both invited me to go and live with them but I value my independence and know I can buy in care if and when I need to do so. I value the ‘buy back scheme’ knowing my girls will not be left with the expense and worry of finding someone to buy my apartment when I ‘pop my clogs’.

I moved in a year ago and still loving the lifestyle. Having lived abroad for thirty years or more I had no network in the uk. Tried living on a new build estate but felt isolated and lonely. The lovat fields village is just that, a real village. Always someone to pass the time of day with. Frequent events and activities, all without getting in the car. The bistro area is the hub of social interactions. I wouldn’t say everyone knows my name but if you mention the lady with the white dog they’ll know who I am. I thought I’d be compromising on space but my bungalow is huge with lots of storage space. All in all I’m very happy here and enjoying every day!
