rise and fall sofa:

Here is your review:

I purchased a rise and fall sofa from Fenetic, and after just 54 weeks, I am utterly shocked and disappointed by the poor quality and lack of care from this company. The mechanical frame is coming apart, and the seat on one side now has a noticeable protrusion—surprisingly, this is the side that’s rarely used, only by visitors. For a company that caters to the elderly and disabled, the lack of concern is appalling.

When I contacted Fenetic about the issue, I was told I was just a couple of weeks out of warranty. They offered to charge me £72 just to conduct a report, which would then determine whether it’s a manufacturing fault or “wear and tear.” We all know where that’s heading. Despite this clearly being a manufacturing issue, I am sure it will conveniently be labelled as “wear and tear.”

This entire experience has left me incredibly frustrated. If you’re considering purchasing from Fenetic, think twice. Spend a little more elsewhere for quality and service—do not buy from them. Their lack of responsibility and care speaks

I e-mailed Fenetic Wellbeing on 7 August 2024 about an issue regarding the published dimensions of their riser recliner chairs but I have not received a reply to date. Very rude, I think.

Delivered to a store which I did not ask for and didn't supply any way to collect it

I am the carer for a chap who is 77. On my advice he ordered a replacement battery from this company. Actually, I ordered it as IT is my thing.

It was ordered via their eBay portal, they have a store and a shop front on Amazon I believe.

The battery was meant to arrive before August 7 which turned out to be when they dispatched it.

The sale states that it is 48 hour delivery via DPD, an absolute nightmare of a company.

No tracking number was provided by Fenetic.

I contacted them which they replied to which stated DPD had delivered to a shop over a mile away. No attempt was made to deliver to the address on the box.

Fenetic, though they told where the item was, did not provide any code to collect it. The store confirmed they had it but cannot release it without the code so, we know where this expensive item is, it's totally in the wrong place, it's way later than they agreed and, supposedly gets sent back to Fenetic on Monday 12.

DPD are, of course, not responding because it is Saturday. Fenetic, despite being open until 1pm today, are also not answering their phone.

So now, all I can do is wait, see what happens on Monday. Will they send a DPD collection code, will it go back to Fenetic? This cost over £550, no small amount and, the poor guy I am caring for, who suffers from Clinical depression, has gone right down because of this.

They deal with vulnerable customers, they have a responsibility to show compassion, they don't.

I will update this should there be any updates to give. Right now I suspect it's just the start of a battle to get a refund

I didn’t get what I ordered and they…

I didn’t get what I ordered and they had no intention of sorting it out, but I must say the service was decent but after 10 or more emails they haven’t even offered to deal with the issues, this chair is for my 91 year old father, shame on them 😞

Envoy Mobility Scooter

Based on the first week of use, this is an excellent class 2 mobility scooter for someone who wants to use it locally only. It is not intended to be portable (Mobility Scooter weight is 94kg). Easy to get on and off with seat that turns 90 degrees and simple to operate. Comes complete with a single wingmirror that is not shown or mentioned in the manufacturers scooter description. Fenetic Wellbeing offer free delivery on this item, it arrives by forklift truck on a wooden pallet and then needs assembling and charging before use. Unfortunately, the carrier did not send notification of when this was going to be delivered. Fenetic Wellbeing offer excellent and very prompt customer service if you have any questions.

I paid £1874 for defective chair

I paid £1874 for thier Which? best buy riser recliner which arrived quickly but the installers found the electricalwiring inside was damaged.
When you buy a new electrical item you expect the wires to be neatly bundled together but the wires in the base appeared to be simply bundled inside the body.
When connected the motors move erratically and the backup batteries got so hot the installer couldn't remove them.
The installer reported the problem to Fenetic who offered a new base, because they didn't any more of the backs in stock. I declined and they agreed to take the chair away and give a complete refund.
We'll see if they do give a prompt refund or not.

Fenetic claim to have initiated refund 01/12/2023 but still pending one week later!
M&S can refund via Paypal to credit card in ONE day. Why does it take Fenetic MORE than a week to do the same?

The latest news is that Fenetic sent PayPay an eCheque for the refund, a week ago, but PayPal say it hasn't cleared their bank account yet.

If you need a refund from Fenetic for faulty goods they don't repay quickly!

It took exactly 14 days to get the refund - the statutory maximum under the consuer act of 2015. 10 days was spent waiting for the eCheck they sent to PayPal to clear,meaning the money was in their bank for an extra week.
Cash flow problems? Will workers get paid on time at Christmas?

Swift, efficient with informed people on the phone

Swift, efficient and helpful, informed people to speak to on the phone. Bought an extra-wide transit wheelchair for my father - got very good advice as to the sort of thing needed. The chair was dispatched and delivered incredibly speedily and my father is delighted with it. Been to the pub now for a glass of red for the first time in 18 months. Thanks Fenetic.

Bariatric Riser Recliner .. super quality, quiet motor and roomy

I was in a fix with Mum coming out of hospital and needing a bariatric chair whilst her hospital style bed was being delivered. No where had any so I started searching second hand. I found a shop, Fennetic Wellbeing on Ebay and tracked them back to their website. I spoke to an incredibly helpful man called Carl who helped me with my questions on their new bariatric riser recliner which was plenty roomy enough for sleeping on. I have to say I was blown away with the quality and how comfortable it was and how quick they delivered. I put it together myself as it only needed the back slotting in and I had no one to help me, but it would be better with help and plugging in to the wall.
I tested it out by sleeping on it that night and was so impressed I ordered the Eldwick version for myself as it was made by the same company and I'm looking forward to it arriving in the next couple of days.

I wished I had bought the bariatric one for myself also, as it is like a mini sofa chair and it would be more roomy for sleeping on as I have a bad back but they had already despatched my one I had ordered.

To Carl and the team, thank you for great service and for ensuring everything went smoothly, Mum loves her new chair too.

Terrific service and product

The wheelchair is outstanding.
Packed with such useful features, and the build quality is second yo none.
My friend abroad recently tasked me with sourcing and shipping to him overseas a really expensive lightweight active wheelchair.
I have to say I honestly do not see that this chair is lacking in any features or quality. Just a couple of thousand pounds sterling cheaper.

Riser/ Recliner Chair provided Very Efficiently.

Having carried out a great deal of research I decided to order a Riser/ Recliner Chair from genetic wellbeing / elite Care. This was to replace my old, very expensive, Lazy Boy chair which had already been repaired Twice. The service was excellent, the product superb. The Panther delivery Team were promt proficient and extremely helpful. Well Done All.

I bought this a few years ago for my mum and its stays in my boot in the bag for when we go out. Its excellent. My cousin has borrowed it at the moment to get to hospital appointments and his wife said its a god send. So lightweight.

My experience from purchasing a…recliner chair brilliant.

My experience from purchasing a Hainsworth dual motor rise and recliner chair with heat and massage, was completely effortless, the help from staff when asking a question, to the gentleman who phoned to arrange delivery, to the delivery men who where polite set up the chair, removed packaging. What a lovely experience. Thank you.

I am a 79 yr old and severely disabled…

I am a 79 yr old and severely disabled and bought a ex display riser,recliner thru E Bay,chair delivered and it continually creak,s and groan,s,contacted Fenetic who intimated it was my fault,I have had 3 riser chair,s before with no problem,s. They then asked me to remove make and check all nut,s and bolt,s were tight,I refused,then asked for video which I sent and after numerous E mail,s they sent a engineer who said chair should not make the noise,s,he removed back made adjustment,s and left,within a hour noise was back,contacted Fenetic who again intimated it was my fault, numerous E mail,s to them to end up being told they have had a independent review done and in their experience the noise is normal and they refuse to send out engineer again,I have passed it on th E Bay and asked for a refund.

Amazing Customer Service for Grandma

I ordered a Cullingworth Riser Recliner for my Grandma as she has mobility issues and I couldn’t rate them highly enough. The process from start to finish has been seamless!

I live two hours away, so had to ensure delivery and set-up went as smoothly as possible and alleviate my anxieties. The customer service I received when calling Fenetic about this was second to none and exactly the kind of reassurance you need when catering to an elderly loved one. They even called my Grandma afterwards to check in on how she was getting on with the chair - a personal touch that she and I both really appreciated.

Thank you, Fenetic! She loves her new chair.

Delivery was incompetent and caused a great deal of distress in an already stressful situation

I would very strongly recommend avoiding purchasing products from any company which uses the Panther Group for delivery-our experience was just hideous. Fenetic Wellbeing uses the Panther Group for delivery.
My brother had fallen and broken his shoulder and as a result could not sleep in his bed, but torturously had to sleep in an upright chair. As a result we urgently bought a riser recliner chair from Fenetic Wellbeing. I purchased the chair over the phone and repeatedly checked that the delivery included assembly. Fenetic Wellbeing repeatedly assured me it did. We paid for next day delivery.

You know what's coming next, don't you?
The Panther Group delivered it the next day, but simply dumped it in the flat in three boxes because they said it was not on their schedule for assembly. I said that Fenetic Wellbeing had assured me that assembly was guaranteed. Stressed out by the terrible physical agony my brother was going through I burst into tears and pleaded with the delivery guy to over-ride whatever was on his schedule and just assemble it. He rang the depot and put me on his phone to speak to the transport co-ordinator. In tears I explained the situation and begged her to authorise the delivery driver to make the assembly. She then went to speak to her manager and came back to tell me that the assembly couldn't be authorised. I pleaded again and she went to speak to her manager again and again said the assembly couldn't be authorised. The delivery men just left and my brother was condemned to another agonising night in an upright chair with a broken shoulder. I rang Fenetic Wellbeing to complain and they said that the assembly was part of their contract with the Panther Group and it should have happened. They arranged for the return of the Panther group the next day.
The delivery/assembly guys came the next day (several hours late) and on entering the flat said they couldn't understand why the assembly hadn't been authorised yesterday as "it was not a problem" and only takes a matter of minutes. Less than 5 minutes later they had assembled the chair and it was fully functional.
Just to repeat - avoid purchasing any products from any company that uses the Panther Group for logistics and save yourself a great deal of stress or even- distress.

UPDATE: I have just had a call from Panther Group Complaints Dept who merely repeated like a parrot that Fenetic Wellbeing had not ordered assembly. I then repeated that according to Fenetic Wellbeing their contract with Panther Group is that every order from them involved assembly. She then simply REPEATED that assembly could not happen if not part of the schedule. I explained again that the refusal to assemble (which would have taken 4 minutes) by the company was in the face of the distress of my brother having to sleep ANOTHER night upright with a broken shoulder and my being absolutely distraught and PLEADING in the name of humanity for the authorisation to go ahead. No apology forthcoming for the distress caused other than trying to justify their lack of customer service.
