Highly recommended

I was recommended Fenetic Well-being by The William Merritt Disability Centre in Leeds. We phoned and spoke to Carl, who was very knowledgeable and helpful and arranged for us to visit and look at riser recliner chairs, as I am having major ankle surgery in the near future.

We visited the warehouse showroom and met up with Carl. He was very kind and considerate and gave us a lot of time to look at all the options, whilst giving us appropriate information about each chair. We were made to feel he had all the time in the world to help us and nothing was too much trouble in terms of swapping cushions around, trying chairs out several times and asking numerous questions! There was no pressure to buy and no trying to sell us more expensive models of chair.

We bought a chair and Carl kindly arranged for this to be stored whilst we reorganised things at home. We arranged a delivery date and my chair arrived exactly on schedule.

I am absolutely delighted with it – it is so comfortable and easy to operate in terms of raising the foot rest, changing the backless position or elevating it to get to a standing position.

We are extremely thankful for all the help Carl has given to us and can highly recommend Fenetic Wellbeing.

I found them to be an excellent company…

I found them to be an excellent company to deal with . No hard sell, just answered all our questions and told us to think about it before ordering. Order went through smoothly, chair delivered on time and most importantly, is extremely comfortable with easy to work remote control. Would buy from them again.

I purchased a rise recliner chair very recently and can't fault the company or the service provided...
The chair was delivered within 2 days as promised
It was delivered by 2 men who brought it in to my home, unpacked it, set it up and ensured it was in working order before they left.
I am very satisfied and from my own experience would highly recommend...... Thankyou Fenetic

Highly stressful experience

A good product spoiled by a truly abysmal delivery & installation company. To date, after wasting two days waiting for the "installers", my chair is still missing one important feature. But the thought of dealing with that courier company again makes me lose the will to live.

I won't use them again and I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering.

Great chair and faultless customer service

I only read the reviews on Trustpilot after I had ordered the chair which filled me with trepidation. Buying this for my elderly mother so it was important we got it right. It was a toss up between a chair from this company and one other. I'm glad I didn't read these reviews first because I would not have bought this chair if I had.
The chair itself is excellent and the after sales customer service has been exemplary (and we did have need to call on them). I wouldn't cast doubt on other people's experiences but our experience couldn't have been better and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Bad Purchase

My daughter bought me a Feneticwellbeing Cavendish reclining dual motor fabric chair in June 2020. The chair mechanism failed after 11 months. They sent aa repair company out to identify the problem and sent a new back section to correct the problem. Unfortunately, the problem was in the base section with a broken linkage.
We eventually received a new base section which was fitted by them on delivery. Again, unfortunately the base and back connections are loose and move when I sit in the chair. Frnetica response was it’s okay, no offer of service visit. We were told that the new chair was not under guarantee. The quality of the chair is very poor, the lumber support in the seat area and leg support had collapsed/crushed in less than twelve months. I am only 79kg so it was not due any excessive weight issues. Please do not waste your money on this style chair or deal with this useless company, buy a better one elsewhere.

I purchased the Cullingworth Riser Recliner and wished I hadn't.

I purchased the Cullingworth Riser recliner chair in April 2021. As soon as I received it I made the Company aware the chair was not of quality and fit for purpose. The Companies response was to ask for photos and keep emailing instead of just arranging collection and refunding me money despite my rights under the law. I am disabled and found it so stressful that finally I said I would keep the chair but never purchase from them again. Yesterday I emailed the Company informing them that the chair is not wearing well and sitting in it, even for a short time leaves me in pain and unable to get up or walk very easily. The Companies response so far is deafening silence. In total I have bought 3 Burlingtons, 1 Cavendish heat and massage chair and this Cullingworth (the most expensive at over £1200) none of which lasted more than a year and this one may not make even that. The quality has been terrible, the cost high and the Companies response seems to be arrogant and aggressive hoping the customer will just get so stressed they give up. In my opinion this is a Company to be avoided.

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company. Very bad customer service with no knowledge of consumer law. They sent me an item that was obviously damaged before postage then claimed it was only cosmetic damage so I had to pay to return it! They also pass on Amazon seller fees to the customer.

Their customer service was dreadful

I bought some wheelchair ramps from Fenetic Wellbeing. However, I fell out with them over the Extra £8.00 I paid for ‘New Day Delivery’.

I assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that ‘Next Day’ meant, er, the next day. Apparently, this IS the case if you order before 2.00pm, but not at 2.30 as I did.

This little gem of Essential information is not on the Ordering page, or visible when you carefully select “Next Day Delivery”, it’s hidden away on their Returns & Delivery page elsewhere on the website.

So beware not to be caught out as I was.

Incidentally, sending a very polite email, and having purchased two electric recliners (at £600 each) the month before, had no affect on their deliberations. They flatly refuse to refund my £8! Although they did say they would speak to their web designer to make the issue clearer in future (which I thought just strengthened my point, but anyway...).

In the meanwhile I have sent the ramps back.
It’s a matter of principle. As there was no mention of the ‘2pm rule’ during Checkout I feel I must take a stand against being done-over by the big guy.

They have lost a returning customer, all for the sake of £8. Imagine their response if there was a larger sum of money at stake? I would fair no better.
So, I intend to shop elsewhere for my mobility needs!

Incompetent

I suffer from bouts of chronic back pain which are totally debilitating (housebound; unable to walk; unable to sleep); strong painkillers have no effect. In January, amidst another episode, I decided to buy an electrically-assisted chair to help me sit and stand.

My experience with Fenetic, its products and its delivery/installation service provider was dreadful.

Having explained, extremely clearly, what I was looking for (including good lumbar support) to two of the sales personnel at Fenetic I was anticipating receiving a brilliant product. The reality was an epic fail.

The chair (made in China) was extremely uncomfortable, had zero lumbar support when in recline mode, the buttons on the remote control unit didn't correlate to the correct functions, the powered tilting headrest was hinged far too low (below the level of my shoulder blades, and I'm only 5'9") which caused more pain that it relieved, the lounge carpet was marked by the boots of the installation 'team' (Panther - in reality two blokes with a van), the packaging was stuffed between my car and the front of our house (rather than being removed as agreed), and despite specific assurances the collection 'team' (also Panther; two blokes with a van) arrived without any packaging materials (quote : "man got no tape").

The only aspect of the service which met my expectations were the prompt refund to my credit card.

Avoid this bunch of amateurs. They have almost zero product knowledge and the delivery/installation/collection service is a joke.

Excellent spares service

Bought a lightweight wheelchair from Fenetic Wellbing some years back, so it is now out of production. When a brake lever broke due to careless handling Fenetic went to great trouble to find a replacement and post it the same day. We think this was excellent service and will certainly buy from them again.

Taking orders for goods they don't have.

I order a chair advertised on their website but they delivered a different chair. Apparently they hadn't updated their website with the current model. Anyway received the chair (which didn't work properly), arranged for it to be collected which they agree for a particular date but wasn't collected. When queried they confirmed the collection hadn't actually been arranged so wasted day.Had to wait another 2days while the package blocked my hallway until collection. Was told refund would be made as soon as they received chair back. Took 7days and after 2 chase ups to get the refund and then without the fast delivery I had paid for. Sent them email to get postage refunded but did not reply. Finally put claim thru PayPal and got postage refunded. As these people deal in goods for the disable the effort and stress I was put thru was totally unwarranted. I will never deal with this company again or recommend them to others.

A costly disaster for me

This was a bit of a disaster for me and I’m out of pocket at the end of it all!

I am a carer for my elderly mother who has very severe dementia and needed a wheelchair to help me with getting to and from hospital and doctor appointments, as she is very frail.

The first wheelchair was delivered with a broken arm rest and a buckled wheel.
The packaging is insufficient to prevent damage if the wheelchair falls over during delivery transport. It is delivered folded up in a narrow cardboard box with no internal packaging or protection. Added to this is that the arms are made of quite brittle plastic so are going to be easily damaged. The hand rail on the large wheel also takes the weight of the wheelchair when it falls over and I suspect that this buckled the wheel.
The wheelchair is not lightweight being made of steel with steel spoked wheels. The plastic parts are very brittle and the wheel centre caps fall out as they are too small.

Feneticwellbeing agreed to send a replacement and exchange the damaged wheelchair on a day decided by them and agreed with me. I had another day off work to receive the replacement, I waited in all day but no one came. No tracking details were sent by the Feneticwellbeing (there was with the first delivery) and when reported to Feneticwellbeing they declared that the courier had “lost it at the couriers depot”. I suspect it was never despatched.
Feneticwellbeing agreed to send another wheelchair on another agreed day, so I had another day of work to receive it. This time tracking details were received (as with the original delivery) and the courier delivered. On opening the box, this wheelchair also had a shattered plastic arm rest on exactly the same side in exactly the same way as the original. There was no evidence of the box being opened at the supplier before it was sent so I assume the damage could have occurred at any point since manufacture in whatever country it was manufactured.
Again I reported the damage to Feneticwellbeing. My employer would not allow me any more time off work to receive and exchange another wheelchair so I suggested that Feneticwellbeing should send me a replacement arm rest through the post and I would do the repairs myself. They agreed and said they would send a the spare arm rest. Seven days went by and no arm rest was received, no tracking details were supplied. Yet again I contacted Feneticwellbeing, they suggested it must have got lost in the post but yet again I suspect it was never despatched.

So I now find myself with a fully paid for broken wheelchair, wasted two days off work, and not permitted any more time off by my employer to attempt another exchange.

Amazon customer services that I had great faith in were no help at all, in actual fact I couldn’t work out if the emails from them were from an actual person or were automated. Certainly Amazons “A to Z guarantee” was completely worthless.
