Searching for a sewing machine manual online, was charged 0.95 pence ( for something that never arrived!) A few days later I was billed £36.95 for a ‘subscription’ to a service I don’t want and never requested. ‘Customer service’ trying to pretend I automatically agreed to it. Scammers.

SCAM OPERATION ALERT!! They charged 99p for manual they couldn't provide. Now I find I'm being charged £36.95 a month on a scam subscription that I can't stop. All those green reviews are scams too. Reported it to the Mastercard Fraud Team.

Total rip off. They sell you a manual for 95p. Then quietly bill you for £36.95 you never agreed to claiming it's a subscription. I took out no agreement and they do not warn you they are about to remove money from your account - we know why!! Stay well clear of them ...

NOTE the invoice for £0.95 for that 1 manual you wanted is emailed to you.
The invoice does not refer to a subscription.
The invoice for £36.95 is NOT emailed to you.
For info, this is the response I received when I queried the charge of £36.95.
"Paid personal assistance service. Discovery offer of 7 days at 0.95 GBP with an unlimited number of requests.
Your subscription to our service is configured by default to be renewed automatically at the end of your discovery period every two months, with tacit renewal.
Your bi-monthly subscription is charged 36.95 GBP and your credit card will be debited with this amount.
You can disable this automatic renewal, and thus terminate your subscription, at any time during its entire term, this request will take effect at the end of your current subscription period.

Update 2: Still no manual! I’m also very suspicious of all these positive reviews that have no mention the fact that this is a subscription service. Even if it worked for these people, you’d think they would at least mention it given it’s the main complaint from those with a negative experience.
Update 1: Over 24 hours later I got an email saying one of their account managers had found the manual I was looking for. They had not. It was the wrong manual. So they can’t even do that properly.

I was looking for manual that this website said they had, charging a fee of 95p. I paid for this, then got a screen saying they would be in touch shortly - this confused me because I thought if they had it why not send it to my email address immediately? There was also no way to login unless I said I had forgot my password (that had never been set).
So I looked at reviews and saw how others had recurring subscription payments they weren’t told about. I managed to login to my account and by clicking on a few links found that I’d also apparently been signed up for a subscription! At *no point* during the payment process does the website tell you that you’re signing up for a subscription. Even when you’re looking at your account details and following the process to cancel your subscription, you can’t see the amount etc!
I still don’t have the manual I paid for. Obviously I cancelled the subscription immediately, but I’ll still be watching my account to see if they try to take anything.

Do not give them any card details without being aware that you are signing up to a recurring payment of £21 read the smallprint, I paid 95p for a manual that wasn’t even correct At no time did I see anything to say that I had subscribed.
This company are an absolute disgrace they charge a nominal amount and then take this large payment was 3 months before I noticed it on my statement so £63 for absolutely nothing

Do not use this service. You pay approx 95p for a manuel, but secretly there is a hidden members fee they charge you seven days later if you don't unsubscribe. They took £24.99 out and were planning to do every month there after had I not realised,! SCAM!!

I would not give this service any stars if I could. It's not often I'm moved to give a review of any sort but this is awful.
It seemed reasonable value at 95p to find a manual.... What I was looking for turned out to be freely available online, but this company failed to find it at all
Worse than that, after giving it up as a bad job, I found that I had been auto subscribed to a service for £25 every 2 months! First I knew was the money left my account.
Company is not interested, I feel completely misled and out of pocket.
To late for me but you can save yourself. Don't touch with a bargepole.
