I only gave 1 star because it took nearly 3 weeks for my car to get collected by fix auto to be repaired and I had to pay out of my own pocket to rent a car to use

poor communication
I found my car was completed to a nice standard. However I was very disappointed in the way I was spoken by the receptionist who answered the phone on numerous occasions. She was very rude and couldn’t be bothered to talk with any form of politeness and with an attitude, in which made me feel like I was irrelevant to using up her time. She contacted me an hour before my car was going to be dropped off to inform me I needed to pay the excess or they could not release the car. I feel this was poor customer service as the car was delayed numerous times throughout the 2 weeks and I was never informed of the excess charge to be paid there and then an hour beforehand. I feel a courtesy call at least 24 hours before to mention I need to prepare for payment and to ensure I’m actually home for my car to be handed over (lucky I was) as 1 hours notice is poor. Overall the gentlemen who picked up my car and dropped it off were pleasant - just a shame the young receptionist has poor customer service skills and communication was not the best.

This is a time line of my experience with Fix Auto Hoddesdon.
First contact via insurance company for bodywork damage. Car collected on time and a clean courtesy car offered and delivered although I did not need it so it was taken back. My car was in their care for the time it took to complete the bodywork repair and fix the damaged rear camera. (The time to repair was very quick.) I was contacted after repair to organise the delivery of it back to my home address. This was done without me being there with my permission. I had several alternatives offered to me for this. It is obvious that the car has been valeted, and it looks prestine. I cannot tell that it has had a repair, and I am a very difficult person to please (so I am told). Would recommend their skill and customer service in dealing with my repair and return of my vehicle. I only needed to phone once to clarify an admin issue with the insurance company and the phone was answered very quickly and an answer to my query given almost instant.
