First time buying carpet over the…

First time buying carpet over the internet, which I did as we wanted to lay more of the same carpet originally put down 10 years ago in a rental property and found it listed on the floor to your door web site. Although we tried to place the order with local stores, none were interested in supplying it.... Placed an order for a sample piece and having found the match to be perfect, placed an order for 26 SqM of carpet and 2 rolls (30 SqM) of underlay. Brad called back within 30 minutes to advise on availability and delivery timeframes and was very happy for me to pick his brain over which underlay a to go for. It is challenging with stock levels at the moment - Brad organised for our underly to come down from Manchester to Kent ! and added notes for the delivery driver to call me ahead of delivery as the drop off was at a block of flats on a busy main road - not easy with a lorry... Very pleased that Brad was not interested in taking any payment until he had confirmed with the stockholder that the carpet and underly were physically available and could be delivered on our chosen date. All went very smoothly - delivery chap also very helpful in carrying the carpet to the fornt door of the block of flats with me and advising us to take the cardboard tube out of the carpet roll so we could bend it a bit to get it up 3 flights of stairs (phew!). All in all a complete pleasure dealing with Brad and the delivery driver and we got the carpet and underlay at a great price. Will be repeating the exercise when re-carpeting our next rental property, now we have found a great fitter too ! Thank you, Brad.

Thanks for your patience, in what was a difficult time

Hi Sarah, sorry it took some time to reply, but want you to know the CFS Eternity Classic Wood Plank – Distressed Grey, I ordered was delivered on time. It's now fitted in my new kitchen and looks absolutely amazing. Considering the cost the quality is superb and like you said it copes easily with my sliding utilities. I'll be back again for some more, think we will extend through the dining room. Take care Steve

Excellent service

I purchased the soft noble urban stripes for my hall, landing and stairs. My original colour choice wasn't available due to a shortage but Brad found me an alternative which ended up being the better choice in the end. Payment is by bank transfer which I knew prior and it was seamless and this is a genuine company so please don't let that concern you. Delivery came as scheduled and my fitters also came and told me this was a good quality carpet. I will definitely go to Brad again for future purchases as he was so helpful unlike other companies I approached first

Great service, highly recommended!

Very pleased with the service recently received from Floor To Your Door. We ordered the underlay first thing Monday morning and it arrived promptly 3 days later on the selected delivery date. We submitted the order online and Brad called us very shortly afterwards to confirm availability. Quote and invoice then arrived promptly by email. We spoke to him again on Wednesday to confirm delivery as we were arranging our carpet fitter and again he was very helpful. He then phoned after delivery to check the delivery had gone well and that everything had arrived ok which it had. Happy to recommend!

It has not been easy of late with the current covid19 situation and all of us at Floortoyourdoor have had to make changes, Brad has been working extra hard and has been doing an amazing job considering we have moved from a completely automated system to a manual ordering process it has quadrupled the work load.

We are looking forward to the day when everything returns to normal but in the meantime we believe the system we have in place is best for everyone, meaning we do not request any payment from our customers until:

1) Stock is verified
2) Delivery date has been confirmed
3) Customers are 100% happy to go ahead with the order

Good prices, fantastic service

Customer service was excellent. Brad called and emailed numerous times to let me know the status of stock and delivery dates, and even called a few hours after my delivery to check that everything was ok. The driver called 30 minutes ahead to let me know that he was coming, and was very polite.

Admittedly, I was apprehensive that payment could currently only be made by bank transfer as apparently there was a problem with their card payment system, but everything went extremely smoothly. Quotes and invoices were done electronically, so there's a 'paper trail' if there's ever any dispute.

Highly recommended.

Fast friendly service

As I left a message to say that I needed the carpet first thing i asked if I could collect rather than have delivery. This was no problem. Brad was helpful and friendly and made sure everything was confirmed while on the phone. Excellent service.

Buying carpet online

Buying carpet online at the moment was not easy as stocks are low owing to Covid-19 but Brad of Floortoyourdoor was brilliant with his help and got the carpet I wanted with fast delivery.

Great carpets. Great service!

This was the first time I had used ‘floor to your door’ and was very impressed with the whole service.
Ordering online was simple with a confirmation phone call within 15 minutes after placing the order.
The delivery driver was friendly and called me first thing in the morning to confirm a rough time of delivery.
The carpets are fantastic and exactly what I expected.
Most of all I was amazed by the service provided by Brad from Bristol Carpets. He called me and continuously kept me in the loop regarding my delivery and answered any question I had! Very impressed with his service, and I would certainly recommend them to anyone else considering new flooring!

Would recommend, great service in challenging times

despite all of the obstacles to service delivery during COVID times, Bradley was really helpful. The pandemic has caused untold issues re processing payments and invoices, but Bradley explained the process clearly and responded to all calls. I had read a lot of reviews about flooring places taking the money and not delivering and was concerned, but I had no need to be. The noble heathers cobble carpet I ordered was delivered quickly and exactly what I wanted. The delivery firm left one of two carpet in the warehouse, but Bradley answered the call, investigated and called me back with an update within an hour, the second carpet was here the next day. Overall, very pleased with the outcome. Thanks Bradley.

GREAT VALUE - DELIVERED TO SUIT US

It was easy to find the carpet we wanted on the website and a question we had was responded to within the hour.

The price was good and we got to choose the day we wanted delivery (we could have had next day but we weren't ready).

The carpets arrived on time and we even got a follow-up call from them to make sure all was OK.

I'd definately use them again.

Carpet delivered when promised at good price

Not yet fitted carpet, but company was pleasant to deal with, helpful and competitive with pricing. At the moment (I believe due to Covid 19) you can only purchase by bank transfer which may be off putting for some, but stick with it and you will get what you ordered and in my case delivered on the due date.

Tried to purchase a carpet

Tried to purchase a carpet, approximately £350. Wouldn't take visa, PayPal or any other payment apart from Bank Transfer. I've watched so many programs warning about this method of payment I cancelled my order. May try again in a month or two if I haven't been fixed up. (Caution). Still bad practice, why not check stock and then give option to pay by debit card (visa) for extra protection??

As I explained to you yesterday the website checkout is closed so customers are not paying for products we can't supply. We are having to manually check stock and delivery details on every order at the moment because we are not getting accurate stock updates due to the impact Covid 19 has had on our suppliers and flooring products being imported into the country. As the checkout is closed, the only payment option we can offer for the time being is by bank transfer. You were offered this option but you said you wanted to use a credit card so I said to you that I would cancel the order for you because this was not possible. I cancelled the order straight away. We have many return customers who use us on a regular basis and have gained many new customers during this unusual period who have been happy to use the bank transfer option and have found it reassuring that all orders are checked before any payment is taken. We have also spoken to other customers who have made payments by card to some other online flooring retailers only to find that stock is not available and are now waiting weeks for refunds. We don't do that...

IN REPLY TO THE EDITED LAST PART OF YOUR REVIEW.

We did not create Covid 19 we are just trying to work though it and in doing so we are helping to keep the businesses who rely on us for materials going and also supporting our suppliers who have been put in this position through no fault of their own.
We are not able to just turn the payment portals on the website on and off at will so we effectively have 3 options;

1: We can leave the Checkout open with a note telling customers to contact us to check stock before payment, which we have already tried, but unfortunately not everybody will read everything and we had several orders put through without stock checks and had to make refunds which take up to 14 days and also incurr costs. (BAD PRACTICE)

2: We could simply stop trading altogether until the stock problems are resolved and stop doing our bit to keep the economy running and also causing other businesses who are regular customers and rely on us problems. (BAD PRACTICE)

3: We can do what we have done. Close down the checkout so we can make sure stock and deliveries are available before any payment is taken. Unfortunately this means the only option for taking payment is by bank transfer. All of our existing customers have been happy with this and you are only the third new customer since we started this process that has questioned it and the only one who has felt the need to review it.

Given the situation I would say that option 3 was GOOD PRACTICE.

I placed an order today totalling over…

I placed an order today totalling over £200 at this company. Brad was on the phone with me and confirmed availability of stock. Their website states free delivery for orders over £200 and mine qualified for that in the addition of being a standard mainland postcode in Glasgow (note that Glasgow is also mentioned as one of their depot locations on their website).

Later Brad called me again stating that they will be charging a £30 delivery charge (their website has delivery rates of £9.95 per order for orders that do not qualify for free delivery ). I explained that it's qualified as a free delivery to a mainland address as per their website. He just said sorry mate that's what it is as they need to get trucks for delivery. What an excuse, as if trucks aren't used for distribution and delivery for virtually every seller!

Totally dishonest people and utterly poor customer service, wanted to add delivery charges after placing the order on their website. I also emailed them directly informing them that I have shared my customer experience at trust pilot online.

Buyer beware!

Well, firstly I never mentioned that payment was taken from my account. All my comments are totally valid. You advertise a product at a specified price with free delivery included, and then later very 'transparently' (added the word as you seem to like it) come back to the customer asking for an additional £30 delivery for whatever reason! I can see that you are quite bitter from a valid first negative feedback for your company, rather you should be taking criticism constructively and improve. That is a bad customer experience and furthermore does not reflect good on you the way that you have responded

This is a very elaborated version of events. Because of the Covid 19 situation the website checkout has been altered so we can manually check orders and make sure we can fulfil them before they are taken, this means that no payment is taken until stock and any possible delivery variations have been checked and confirmed with the customer. I contacted Shahnawaz Shariff when the notification of his potential order came through to us and informed him that we could access stock of the carpet he wanted but not from one of our usual suppliers and there would be a £30 delivery charge. At this point Mr Shariff did not want to continue with the purchase of the carpet and no money was taken from him. As for all the other comments about our service I feel he has just added them for artistic interprement. We feel we are quite the opposite to Mr Shariff's comments as we could not be anymore transparent to our customers in the way we try to fulfil their requirements, unlike some other websites who are still taking payment before stock and delivery are confirmed, leading to customers having to wait up to two weeks for refunds, depending on payment options.

This Company is absolute AMAZING best…

This Company is absolute AMAZING best prices , fast delivery and you can pay PAYPAL. I saved myself £350 on my 42 square metres of carpet. I rang up and spoke to the customer service , they were a fantastic help . My delivery arrived 48 hours later. Fully protected in wrap, And in pristine condition. Many Many thanks will tell everyone about your company.
