I used folding door shop two years ago for bifold doors. The Origin doors were delivered and installed on time perfectly. I had occasion to call twice in the last two years for minor repair nothing to do with the installation or product and on both occasions the girls on the phone were great, the engineers attenended exactly when they said, were extremely polite and professional and rectified the issues.
A truly superb company in every way, highly recommended. Well done!

A quality service, fast efficient and very competitive. I had three quotes and no one come close to their price.
The staff are friendly and helpful, especially a lady "Kelly" who dealt efficiently with a small issue I had.

Good product and a fair price, good follow up

I bought 2 sets of Bi Fold Doors and everything was effortless and smooth. Sales team always got my quotes back to me within an hour and any questions or queries I had were always answered and they couldn’t have been more helpful! Survey and Installation was done to the highest standards and I haven’t had any problems. I would highly recommend using the Folding Door Shop to anybody looking for an easy, smooth and reliable service! Amazing.

As others have mentioned this is definitely a company to avoid. They are just interested in getting your deposit and make a whole host of promises that can't be met. I don't think it's entirely intentional as it seems they don't have the organisation or staff numbers to properly services their clients.

We've ordered from them twice, so I speak from good experience. We had some aftersales problems the first time - needing a door lock to be realigned - this required in excess of 30 calls for an engineer to fix the issue, then another 20 or so to get a touch up kit to fix some damage cause on install.

However, as I liked the product, on our next renovation we used them again, it was a big mistake.

Despite me highlighting my concern about service and installation timescales, I was reassured everything would be ok by the sales person. This wasn't the case. We even got a call from the CEO to say he would personally ensure it ran smoothly. Again this wasn't the case.

They struggled to meet their own 4 week deadline which was missed by several weeks. The initial measure was delayed, then the production, then the install. I called the CEO, to take up his offer of oversight, but he said he was too busy to talk and hung up.

We finally had the doors installed only for some flashings to be missing, again I had to chase daily in order for this issue to be rectified. At one point one member of staff was so rude to me and then hung up on me, I let the CEO know, but didn't ever hear anything back.

I've renovated two properties and dealt with a large number of business' and contractors The Folding Door Shop are by far and away the worst customer experience and service, and I will not be using them for round two on this property.

My advice would be to steer clear, and don't be fooled by the seemly good pre sale service, that's simply to get you to pay a deposit.

Like most , I'm not a fan of paying all the money inc installation cost a week before they even arrive but went smoothly , my only criticism is I expect the roof lanterns to be cleaned after installation , as it's hassle to get up there , and nearly £1000 for installlation completed in 4hrs I expect a little more finess

Avoid at all costs. Purchased three sets of bifold doors and two windows in November 2014 from the FDS.
They seem to think it's acceptable to completely ignore all forms of communication, emails and phone calls, after over six months of this from the install date in January 2015 the only way to finally get them to make contact was by me contacting my credit card company, on the final day of the credit card companies 30 days notice I received a phone call from them, at least six site visits over the next 18 months to try and fix all the errors from when the doors and windows were originally installed. Only one window from this order was fitted correctly from day one.
In the end I gave up trying to deal with them after the promise of all the errors being sorted out in one day, a whole team of fitters were coming to carry out the repairs on the 30th September 2016, true to form this was another pack of lies as only two guys turned up on the day, and they had no idea what works were involved to sort out the three sets of bifold door and a window.
As of the 24th May 2017 I finally have all three bifold doors operating as they should, plus the window Installation is finished, after contacting the manufacturer Origin they sent out their own fully skilled trained installation team to completely remove all three sets of bifold doors and reinstall them correctly. To say they were not impressed with the way the FDS had done the original installation would be an understatement.
How wonderful it was to deal with Origin a professional company, the complete opposite to the FDS.
I did have to pay them for their time and materials but now I will never have to try and deal with the FDS again because Origin have taken over the whole of the 20 year warranty.
Avoid the FDS at all costs.

Arrived promptly on the time and date specified.
All new Windows and Doors were installed to a high standard.
We use this Company often, and would recommend them highly.

Found Folding Door Shop online after a search for roof lantern suppliers. They followed up my online enquiry promptly and the buying process from then on was very straightforward. They happily stored the lantern light for us until we were ready to have it installed and then delivered and installed as agreed. Lantern looks great. Process was painless.

Luke was incredibly helpful trying to match a quote on a complex glazing set but unfortunately couldn't beat the competitor. However so happy with the effort up front I did order my rooflight from them and very happy with service. A slight delay on original delivery, but didn't effect us. Very easy purchasing process and kept up to date. Wish I'd got tgd rest of my glass from them.

I spent a long time looking for bifolds, this company offered the great guarantees, 25 years manufacture and 10 years service can only mean they believe in the quality of their product. Smooth process from sale to installation. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
