As a property developer I needed a company who I could trust to deliver on time and supply high quality bifold doors for my projects. Have used Folding Door Shop for over a year now and they have always exceeded my expectations. They deliver my doors in 10 days from date of order, would recommend to any retail or trade clients. not many companies can offer a quick turnaround like this one.

Originally the doors we ordered did not match the swatch we chose even though we paid extra for a specific colour. After much debate they swapped with a standard grey colour but we didn't get the money back for the extra we paid. Now after 2 years the doors are catching and scraping and in hot weather won't even open. The customer service, whilst polite, is poor. We were told that most of their doors are sold in the London area so they cannot respond quickly to people in the Midlands, but eventually they sent fitters who said that a part needs to be replaced. They now say this was never said, They have now blamed the builder who refaced the outside wall recently (although the door was scraping before the builder came) and also that insufficient space was left for heat expansion (not mentioned in their installation details). Better to avoid "unless you live in London". They asked me to send photos which I did over a week ago and still no response or action to correct. Bi-fold doors that don't open in hot weather and they don't ever call back - Terrible!

I just had some bi-fold doors installed (Smarts) and I am really happy with how it went, the doors and the service.

Ordered a 3 panel Origin bifold and stretched the budget to the best I could afford. Extremely smooth service and process and the door looks and operates fantastically.
Have just ordered a similar door for phase 2 of my project and hoping for a similar experience, so far so good. My contact has been very attgood native and helpful throughout dealing with queries promptly and efficiently

I purchased a four panel origin easi fold door from the folding door shop. A survey was arranged within a couple of days from placing my order. Installation was carried out within a couple of weeks . Very impressed by quality of doors and service .

Cannot fault this company at all. They provided me with various options when it came to choosing the right bifold door for my project.
I decided to opt for their mid range door which has been installed to a very high standard by their experienced bifold door specialists .
I contacted 5 different companies out there, The Folding Door Shop offered the best value for money , a quick turnaround and backed up by some very attractive guarantee's . As a which trusted trader , I would recommend them to any home owner/ builder.

We had been dealing with these company on two occasions.
First time we had received 1 of 2 ordered doors stating that second door had been painted with wrong colour than ordered ????? and need to be redone …
Eventually those doors showed up after additional 5 weeks !!

At the first instance you think it can happen … I know it should not but …
Than 6 months later again £20K order partially delivered and then again some doors didn’t passed quality control at the factory on the day that order should be dispatched …
And again 6 weeks waiting time …

Very hard to get in touch with and know what is happening, as always when you pay upfront there is trouble with end product.

So if you value your time and money just don't waste it !

Nightmare from start to finish. Would take few pages to explain everything we went though. Honestly the worst company we ever had to deal with. After countless phone calls (by the way person you need to speak to is never there) and emails we actually ordered new doors. Had the doors installed 1.5 years ago but still cannot forget this nightmare. Do not do same mistake!

Do not buy from this company nothing but issues.

Was given a fitters name by a guy at the office - turns out he had a side business recommending and cutting out the company - I then had issues and was made to feel it was my fault for not having took the fitter through them (how was I meant to know!) They wouldn't fix the problem and take responsibility the truth only came out when the lantern started leaking again!! Joke

The customer service is terrible - never return calls have to chase 100 times. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ENJOY A CHALLENGE!

I have had a great pre-sales experience with Laurence, but after I paid for it, the service has been much more than AWFUL.

I have lost thousand of pounds already, as I had to pay for kitchen fitters for cancelling as the rooflight is delivered.

I have exchanged hundreds of e-mails and calling the owner of the business. And guess what yet, no answer. I am considering suing them for the delays and all the costs they caused so far.

I am shocked by how they have been treating me, specially having spent over 8k with them. So go elsewhere, you will be better off.

I have been a building contractor for 25 years and chose to place an order with The Folding door company as they told me they could turn our order out in 3 weeks.

We paid our deposit on time and the balance once the correct invoice was received we paid the same day.

We initially lost a week on manufacturing as the survey drawings did not materialise.

We are now 6 weeks down the line, our corner set of bifolds was delivered wrong size and then remade, our residential door was completely missed from the order, we have been promised delivery dates and nothing arrives, when you call the office nobody knows what is happening or they will not talk to you (if as I have been) get frustrated with the lack of information.

The fitters were due to do the job in one visit it will now be 4,when they do show up they are not familiar with the product they are due to fit, a cill gets damaged and during fitting and I am told that it can be touched up with a pen!
The glass promised today to ensure our clients property is secured has only been half delivered and this is also incorrectly sized.
The glass fitter is actually the delivery driver and he is not prepared to try and help by offering to board the openings as its not his job.

My order is supposed to have been overseen by Lee Croucher the MD of the company who is never in the office, will never answer his phone and prevent all of his staff from trying to help.

In 25 years I have never dealt with such an incompetent bunch of people trying to portray themselves as a professional outfit.

If you want to spend a lot of money to get incredibly stressed then this is the company for you!

However if you want a quality product from a professional business that cares about client satisfaction then I would strong advise dealing with The Folding Door Shop.

Reading other reviews on this company after the process of buying from them was a bit of a shock to me! Once I ordered my doors I was quickly put through to another woman who explained how to sign the contracts and drawings. All of this went smoothly. I was given a date on which my doors arrived on time and packaged securely. The fitters arrived the next day and done the job quickly! I've had no problems with the doors since they've been fitted. I think most people find it necessary to write bad reviews for bad experiences but never when they've experienced a good service. I would order from them again!

We bought a folding door from them, and a window.
The door was fine until the handle snapped off recently and we are finding it so difficult to get a response from the company. The customer service is terrible. I required clarification on fitting it flush, which they said could be done, it couldn't. They are rude on the phone and never get back to you. I was belittled by senior staff (they spoke rudely about me with their telephone in their hand) and once you've paid they couldn't care less.
We also paid for a bespoke window which was specific in design, and despite taking the full amount of money and swearing they understood what I needed (mini french doors for my kitchen to garden window - not that tricky) the window was so wrong it barely opened, they sent a replacement which was also wrong and now they will not answer any messages or rectify the problem.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, despite how appealing their price. Save yourself wasted time, energy and money, go elsewhere.
I haven't been more disappointed with a company and sincerely wish I could edit this review and write a better one a year later. but all the problems still stand.

These guys are a joke. I am still waiting for the rubber seals to hold the glass in place. The door was supposed to be delivered on the 3rd July, didn't arrive until the 9th (no communication to say they will be late). The frame was installed in the new opening formed by my builder but when the fitter arrived it was apparent that there were no instructions, fixings or the rubber seals to hold the glass in place in the package. Its now nearly 3 weeks later and still no seals have arrived despite being told they have been sent (and apparently lost in the post) on 3 occasions now. This is completely ridiculous and has costed me a fortune on wasting the builders time as keep being told they will arrive on XX date.
Please save your money, time and stress by going elsewhere!

I ordered several items from this company. They were all Taylor made to suit our strict requirements. We found the service from start to finish really helpful and brilliant. We were kept informed at every stage of the process and the product and finished job looks excellent.
