I have to say what a delight it was to do my Last Will & Testament with them. I had some dreadful news earlier this year. And I needed to change some details. They were so sincere and helpful. All was sorted. Absolutely highly recommend them.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FREEWILLS

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FREEWILLS
Just used FreeWills and completed a pair of wills . Amanda was courteous professional and informative to all our queries and emails . If you want a basic no nonsense Will it is Free . We wanted to put trusts in our wills and Amanda was upfront and explained the options without being pushy . This was an extra cost but still a lot cheaper than going through a solicitor. I do recommend that ,when you draft your will , double check the information and spelling on the draft , as the negative reviews that i read were from people who hadn’t and subsequently blamed FreeWills .

Thank you so much Keith. Really appreciate your review and so pleased we could assist you with the finer detail relating to your wills and trusts. And thank you, it really helps when folks read these reviews, it is important they have context. The negative reviews are not a true reflection of what we are about, but certainly about those folks blaming us for their errors. But, it does not hurt our business because we know we do good in an industry that is so expensive for folks and we do our very best to alleviate that cost as best we can to ensure that clients can achieve their testamentary requirements. Of course, when and if updates are required, please come back to us, we will be more than happy to help you both again. All the very best. Amanda.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Andrew is allegedly a grown adult. Apparently, the free will template that Andrew completed was drafted by me.

Apparently, I have psychic powers and know the full name and spelling of his beneficiary. And the name was so unusual, I have actually never heard of it before. But according to Andrew, the will he drafted himself, was our error?

Am I missing something here?

Andrew drafted his own will, via a will template on our website. All 172,000 wills drafted on our website are drafted by the recipient. We cannot draft them, as stated before, because we do not posses magical powers to telepathically remote view a client and obtain this information.

Once Andrew completed his will, he was emailed a draft to check through.........Yeah, that.

Andrew did not do this. He spelt a name wrong in two sections of his will and also an address [he did not tell you that bit, naughty Andrew].

We then posted his bound will to him, you know, the one he did not check to see if he had made errors.

Andrew received his will in the post, realised he had made errors and then proceeded to email us, blame us for his incompetence and demand that we change the errors that are now allegedly our errors and post him another £30 bound will free of charge!

And here is the lesson to be learned. Had Andrew emailed us and said something alongs the lines of.... "I am so sorry, I have made mistakes in my will. I have spelt a name wrong in multiple sections and the address of the same person, totally my error, is there some way you could help me with this please?"

I am a reasonable and helpful lady, had that message been received, I would have offered to amend his will, and charge him a simple admin fee of £10 including postage because he had already spent £30.

But no, Andrew went the rude, selfish, entitled brat [He's a senior adult by the way] way.

Instead, because of his lying, rudeness, entitled behaviour, he was told to redraft his will to correct his own errors and pay full price.

This was his response...Oh, and note his spelling errors....

"I expected better from you che k the name noiley, you spelt it wrong twice so would of thought you could corect some of your mistakes and do the ones I made at same time,I was going to advertise how pleased I was,on community site,
Tha is
Andrew Carter"

So, let's put it to a public vote.....Do we think Andrew, with his multiple spelling errors in emails is likely the guilty culprit here?

When we refused to post another out free of charge as the error was his and pointed that part out to him too, he sent the below response.....

"Pent. Upon frustrated, springs to mind! All work no play makes???"

All because he never got what he demanded.

It beggars belief really. All the negative reviews are from folks who throw their teddy out their pram when I stand up to their bullying for free replacement items that they have caused the issue with! Why should my business suffer financial loss because of their errors? I am not doing it and will happily suffer the odd negative review from the very few entitled children on this review page who think they will damage my company, when in fact all they do is make themselves look utterly foolish and childish.

Looking at our 5* reviews from clients about 4800 [97% of folks], and the 1* from 1% of selfish, entitled folks, you can clearly see the theme here. We have an excellent business and provide an excellent service, but as always, you get that 1% who ruin it.

What happened to owning your errors and mistakes? We do! If we make and error, we hold our hands up and respond and replace and apologise! Sadly, the 1% here don't.

We have the absolute please of helping over 172,000 people write their will for free, they outnumber those who take advantage of what we offer, Andrew Carter is one of them.

A brilliant Service

After my Beloved Wife passed away, I found it necessary to put my affairs in order, including making a Will. My Wishes are very modest and simple, therefore, I was reluctant to pay large Fees to solicitors, to create my Will. I did a lot of searching on-line and found Free Wills. I completed the Will Making Procedure (which was extremely clear and easy). After I had submitted my first Draft, I realised that I had omitted something – no problem, their Site gives you easy opportunity to edit. I now have my approved Will (a big weight off my mind). This is a fantastic Service! I have nothing but Praise and Thanks for the Free Will’s Team. Thank you, so much.

The ‘free will’ turned into £30 as…

The ‘free will’ turned into £30 as there appeared to be a non option of binding and posting. I took that on the chin

But after ticking ‘I do not want a fireproof container’ they charged me not £30 but £49. I wrote a very direct email as the telephone number they supplied didn’t work at all on either phone and they eventually emailed me a snotty letter telling me I was refunded and ‘won’t get a free will anywhere’

Well I got one within an hour.

These people are idiots.

Edit: note the incredibly childish reply from one of the lackeys, suggesting I don’t know what I was doing, yet I’m a retired company director who managed to run three franchised car dealerships with thirty staff, so I’m quite able to fill in a simple form. Alas, this form, and my wife’s (retired pensions administrator) which she separately filled in both had the unwanted extra added. I think you can form your own conclusions from the idiots response.

Oh and despite their threats we have already procured proper free wills from a local solicitor, after reading MSE’s article explaining how these sharks add on unwanted upsell items to boost their income. I recommend reading their guide.

Note similar reviews on the internet about this companies failings and the rude sarcastic replies from Amanda George, the company gopher. I am not the only one!

Ah, there you are John, Funny how we know what your next move is going to be.

Let's paste your multiple emails shall we. And of course, for full disclosure, I will paste mine to you too.

You, Email 1 at 17.29hrs. "I did NOT order a fireproof document holder, I specifically ticked the no box."

You, Email 2 at 17.33hrs "I did not order one, nor did my wife Claire Thompson yet you charged me £49.
Either refund me immediately or I’ll contact the bank and get them to cancel the entire thing.
It was advertised as free but was not.
You are crooks.,
Regards, J T"

You, Email 3 at 17.39hrs "This was not ordered. Cancel it or I’ll cancel the entire thing.
This was advertised as a free will.
Regards, J T"

My email to John at 17.50hrs

"John, Our wills are free. You opted to pay to have the FREE Will bound and posted to you alongside a fireproof wallet. I suggest you pay more attention to what you are doing rather than accuse us of doing something we haven’t.
And on that note, I’ve closed both of your accounts and refunded you both back. You can now go elsewhere and pay for a Will as you won’t get a free Will elsewhere.
I also suggest you look at how you interact with people, especially a company that’s saved you about (or had) £400 for joint wills. We have a zero tolerance when it comes to abusive and threatening emails.
You have a good day now.
Yours Sincerely
Amanda George LLB (Hons) STEP Certificate (Trusts and Estates)
Managing Director
Free Wills"

Next time you use the internet to buy something, I suggest you have an appropriate adult
present to assist you in understanding what a "YES' and 'NO' button is. Getting it wrong once can be an error, but you did it twice, clearly your stupidity. A FREE WILL is FREE. You paid for the FREE WILL to be bound. That does not mean that you are paying for a will, you are paying for the cover it is bound in, is that clear to you now, I guess not. Here is a very simple instruction for you...

Do you want to pay for our FREE will to be bound? "YES' or "NO"
Do you want a fireproof Wallet to pop your FREE will in to? 'YES' or "NO"

Had you had the fortitude to select 'NO' for both, you would have had your will emailed to you FREE OF CHARGE to print off. It really is that simple, but clearly beyond your ability.

So you called us Crooks and Stupid, we are neither, John, but you clearly are very very stupid.

When you email us in the manner you did, expect one back at the same level. Mine however is an honest response, yours, stupid, offensive and abusive and we simply will not tolerate it. You clearly through your teddies out of your pram and came wahwahhhh wahaaaaahing to TrustPilot like a baby.

Thank God we do not have to cross paths again and thank God 99% of our 5000 reviews are 5* because we provide an exceptional service with a FREE WILL, except for the babies who are rude and stupid like you and do not get what they demand.

You have a good day now.

Thanks for your update, John. Bragging about your life isn’t going to swing it I’m afraid. Your emails show your level, it’s low, if that’s how you treat people, god only knows how you treated your staff.

As stated, our 5000 5* reviews clearly show we are doing it right. The negative reviews, from people like you speak for themselves. We are unusual in that we actually stand up for ourselves when awful people like you come to the internet the spit your dummy out. And no, you never got a free will with a local solicitor after 5.50pm last night and 8.50am this morning. You’re not good at lying.

MSE advertises companies who serve the public and are safe to use and highly recommended. If we were ‘Sharks’ as you state, I very much doubt we’d be on their website. We sell other products besides a FREE will, Johnny, and folks are free to take that or leave that, it’s their choice, but you clearly had no idea how to tap the ‘no’ button as described above. Have a good day.
