Your delivery system is a joke

Your delivery system is a joke. Despite my requesting Bensons and your company to use my land line when contacting me the delivery department used my mobile number to text me and , I suspect , ring me. The days the phone calls were made I was in or the answer phone was on. Us of the older generation are not all technophiles. Having wasted a day I now wait with bated breath for the next appointment that I shall confirm, to be missed.

I was so impressed with Furmanac I…

I was so impressed with Furmanac I purchased my bed from Dreams initially, when i got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. However seven years later there was a problem with the motor that allows the bed to adjusted to my needs, dreams just informed me that they don't deal with them sort of beds no more I was next to begging with a cry for help. I got given different contact numbers given and after around over 70 phone calls to different people over 7 months. i finally spoke to Tom in furmanac i sent him the paperwork i received form home serve and within a week from speaking to him he arranged nice chap named Jason who came out within the time specified and fixed it straight away, no hassle. I will go directly to Furmanac if i need another bed. Seriously happy with this company. Thankyou to all of you i spoke to regarding getting my bed fixed im totally happy. xx

Furmanac adjustable bed with synchronized mechanism.

Below is the original review I wrote about my new bed. After writing the review I was contacted by Tom Mulligan from Furmanac, which was a good sign, as it shows their reviews are read and acted on.
We have now had a visit from two very knowledgably technicians who had a much more pleasant attitude than the first two who came. The slatted frames and motor have been changed and the bed now works perfectly. How I wish this could have been our experience on purchase, or after the first technicians visit. The bed is extremely comfortable and we are now delighted with it.
My original review.
We do not recommend Furmanac and will not buy from them again. 8 weeks ago we purchased a 5' Furmanac adjustable bed, with synchronized mechanism. The bed has 2 bases with an East West split and one 5' mattress. The people who installed the bed had minimal experience and the 2 sides of the bed do not adjust equally, resulting in the 2 sides not being level when adjusted. The difference being 1.5 to 2.5 cm. I feel that over time the new mattress will get a step in it. This problem was acknowledged on installation but the installers were unable to rectify the problem. Today two employees of Furmanac have been to adjust the bed. The problem has NOT been resolved and one of the employees had a “do not care” attitude and insisted there was no problem. The second employee wanted to change the motor but the other would not allow him to do this. They pulled and pushed to no avail, then made a phone call to ask for help. The person who answered the phone asked “if this was the bed, they had changed the motor on last week that had the same problem.” So obviously we are not the only customers with issues. As the complete bed cost almost £3000 we expected better than this and certainly much better installation and aftercare.

Our Service Manager was on the telephone with the technician when he was trying synchronize your bed and this issue had occurred previously with another customer and was a motor issue
The technician should have changed your motor, to see if this would have corrected the problem, and we have spoken to him and advised him in future all avenues need to be investigated and parts changed if another technician thinks this would have sorted the repair.
We are in the process of making a new slatted frames with new motors and we will come and swap these for you as soon as possible. Our Transport team will contact you to book in with a date.

Supplied sub standard goods and still 2 months later waiting for the second technician to arrive to try and fix the problem.
Total joke.
Someone needs to explain the meaning of customer service to them.

Ordered a bed through argos

Ordered a bed through argos. Delivery date arranged and confirmed multiple times even give times slots. Supposed to be delivered today in 2 hours only for furmanac to rung me 2 hours before and tell me the bed isn't even made and won't be ready for a while meanwhile my old bed is outside. Im heavily pregnant and now dont have a bed and the guy who phoned was absolutely useless and blamed other people. You sent me 5 messages and an email to confirm delivery today. And then told me I shouldn't have chucked my old bed until the new one was actually there even though you confirmed delivery yesterday. Terrible.

Only wish I could give no stars

Only wish I could give no stars. These people do not appear to know the meaning of customer service. I purchased an adjustable bed, supplied by them, through Bensons for Beds. They took five months to deliver the bed last year, due to supply issues during the Covid restrictions they said. When the bed was installed their installers didn't demonstrate the bed and when I tried it the motor on one side failed. Both myself and Bensons tried in vain to get them to investigate and repair the fault. After over a month I decided that enough was enough and told Bensons to have them take it away. After another six months they have now told Bensons that as it has been so long since the bed was delivered, they have no intention of taking the bed back. This bed cost me just under £2,000 sale price and wasn't fit for purpose five minutes after their installers left it with me. They have walked away and washed their hands of the whole sorry affair. Nearly twelve months since placing the order for the bed, I am still waiting for the bed to be removed by Bensons.

I am sorry Ms Freeman, but Bensons have today collected the bed, having employed a third party to disassemble it. It's a case of too little, too late.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. Delivered a bed to my elderly mother but upon delivery the drivers damaged paintwork whilst taking the bed up the stairs. These things can happen, but they took a chunk out of the wall and clearly picked up the debris to hide the fact. Upon contacting the company a jumped up person in the delivery office claims my mother is lying having ‘spoken to the drivers’. Why would they possibly lie?!!. Poor customer service and arrogant useless staff for what are overpriced beds. Whilst my mums happy with the bed to be called a liar and have damage done to her home is not acceptable and I will he pursuing this legally

Ordered a Furmanac King MiBed Harper…

Ordered a Furmanac King MiBed Harper (adjustable bed) with floor standing headboard from Now To Bed.

It was delivered a month after it was ordered and, as it was built to order, this seemed a good lead time (esp in Covid). Unfortunately they were unable to set the bed up due to some of the wheels/castors being missing, they also delivered the wrong headboard (not sure if this was the retailer Now to Bed or Furmanac’s error). The castors were delivered over a week later and the bed was finally assembled. The headboard arrived 2 weeks after that (it had to be made). It’s unfortunate that the headboard is a slightly different colour to the navy velvet material that the bed is made from.

Despite the errors in delivery, the service from the guys who set the bed up (Keen and Able) was great. Their delivery booking system works very well and they would always give me a call to let me know they were an hour away.

Overall we’re happy with the bed, it’s very comfortable (soft/medium mattress) and the adjustable mechanism works well, great for watching TV/reading/breakfast in bed. The navy velvet looks lovely and the headboard looks great (despite being a slightly different colour). The only things I’m not too keen on are 1) the mattresses move a bit from their base thus a gap forms between the two singles and 2) when the bed is in an adjustable position, you can see through the base into the draws underneath.

I gave 3 stars simply because of the order and delivery errors. It would have been a 4 if not for that.

A bed time story that I would not want to read

NEVER AGAIN The worst experience i have ever had .Ordered two very expensive beds £4800 as my wife has a rare condition and was assured they were the best manufacturer around (What a Disappointment) ordered April 2020 first delivery confirmed for July then a call From the member of staff purporting to be from another company to say the beds were being delayed as parts needed to finish were unavailable . Beds arrived two weeks later and delivery made only to discover several parts were missing underlighting Massage units . Called Furmanac sorry they will be sent out and arrange for fitters to come and have the beds assembled. Two weeks later the equipment arrived only to find other parts missing , Assembly men arrived and fitted the parts and left only to find it was the wrong remote units which were sent out so the massage units could not be operated , Called again oh sorry it was a mix up with the parts .
After the proper remotes arrived and two days later we decided to try the massage units one worked ok for 10 minutes the other was so noisy it was like lying on top of a pneumatic drill the noise was unbearable .
Call again and yes we cant understand why but we will have someone come and have a look . Engineer on arrival spotted that the massage unit was fitted in the wrong place and there was only one bolt holding the unit in place the other had come out due to being overtightened causing the wood to split . Called again Dont know how that would have happened but as a goodwill gesture we will have new beds sent out which will be factory built so you wont have any further trouble . I decided to call the managing Directors and was told they do not speak to anyone .Two weeks later a call Mr M you're new beds will be delivered next week having been factory built you should have no further problems Two weeks later the beds arrive Old beds moved out new beds moved in and on unpacking discovered no under lighting no massage units no remote controls and from then on more problems Another call to Furmanac Oh so sorry don't know how this has happened will need to speak to the production people Which never spoke to me . A week later the massage units arrived and the under bed lighting However when unpacked no leads for the lighting . Called again Dont know how that happened they could not have been put onto the van nevermind two weeks later another team arrived and put in the bulbs.
51 weeks later 6 visits from Furmanac 18 emails which i have kept the 18 replies 27 telephone calls and no apologies until today . I did seek compensation for inconvenience as one of the bed delivery was 0650 in the morning and other times for stripping the beds etc. But that has fallen on deaf ears .
However Furmanac who boasts that they are Britain's High Quality bed makers is beyond belief.
The reply from A Director of the company reads " Thank you for your email dates 22/3/21 we apologise for the issues you have had with our product .
These have been addressed with the relevant people.
We thank you for purchasing our product and hope that on going the bed is to your satisfaction .

Excellent service and product

The Furmanac 3’6” single Electric bed was delivered and assembled on the exact day as pre-arranged with Furmanac themselves. The 2-man delivery team, who assembled the bed, were very courteous and speedy. They cleared all the packaging away and then demonstrated how to operate the bed with the remote control, which was very easy to understand. I have osteoarthritis and find it an excellent bed that can be operated to find the most comfortable position. I’m very pleased and am happy to thoroughly recommend Furmanac.

Mattress Problems - We purchased a superking bed from a…

We purchased a superking bed from a retailer in Cannock

This was expensive and included a very large built in velvet headboard

Within 3 months we noticed that dips were appearing where we lay.

This dips got progressively worse so we contacted the retailer - The retailer said it was the responsibility of Furmanac and they would get in touch with us.

I was confused as I felt the retailer should have sorted it out

Anyway, Furmanac came and inspected the mattress and agreed that it was faulty

The mattress was replaced (had to wait a few weeks for production which is understandable)

The replacement mattress was delivered.

Within a few weeks the exact same problem was recurring - I contacted Furmanac and explained the situation.

This particular mattress had a “Pillow Top”.

All through this period Laura from Furmanac was very helpful and very professional.

It was then suggested that they replace the 2nd mattress with their “Anniversary 5000” which I’m told is the best mattress they make - This mattress does not have a “Pillow Top”.

The new “Anniversary 5000” mattress has been delivered today so hopefully we will now get some quality sleep.

I can not praise Furmanac & Laura enough for the professional way in which they have handled this situation.

Without doubt a very customer orientated company.
