My husband and I both purchased the step through models. Very happy with the performance of the bike. However disappointed with the Bosch Smart System. Had trouble with both of them turning on. The store owners are working with us. We thought Bosch would have been the best choice. Also my miles don’t always reset. We purchased them in April and have almost 1,000 miles on them.

I have nearly 500 miles on my Ultimate…
I have nearly 500 miles on my Ultimate C8 HMB. Riding this bike is like being on a vehicle and not like being on my nimble and light hybrid. A very different riding experience, but at 76 this is the bike for my future. It takes a few hundred miles to get used to riding this bike, but it is very enjoyable to ride.
My only complaint is the location of the braze-ons to attach the bottle cage. I bought a step through to make it easy to get on and off the bike, but with the bottle cage near the bottom of the frame, it defeated the purpose of a step through. I took the bottle cage off and bought a cage to attach to my handlebar.

Great Bike !
Hi,
I have recently been experiencing mobility problems and have always been an active hill walker.
I decided on buying an e-bike as I reasoned that some exercise was better than no exercise.
I opted for the Gazelle Ultimate C5 high step.
This has been an absolute game changer, after having minor heart surgery and still waiting for a leg operation Incan easily manage 30 miles on my new bike.
It is a very well built bike , sturdy comfortable and in Anthracite grey turns many heads when out and about.
I love the bike so much that my wife and I bought another so that she can come along with me on my travels.

Great bike, but problems with the display
We bought two Arroyo C5s 3 months ago. The bikes themselves are wonderful. Great craftsmanship, fun to ride, and comfortable.
I would give 5 stars, except both of our bikes are having problems with the Intuvia 100 display. Mine locks up about 50% of the time and I have to remove the display battery to get it to reset. My wife's bike display drops out intermittently (but happens almost every ride now). I have replaced the display battery in both bikes and updated the bike software, but the problems persists.
I've had numerous discussions with the shop, and they are working with me. This is really a problem with Bosch, but it would be nice if Gazelle would just get some new displays out to those of us with this problem.
Update: Gazelle have reached out to help me resolve me to these issues. I will update this review when they're resolved.
Update: Gazelle customer support was very helpful in providing information about another software update for the bikes, and one for the Intuvia display. I performed both updates (it was very easy to do). Unfortunately, this made no difference. Both bikes continue to have their unique problems with the display.
The last discussion I had with the shop, they wanted me to leave the bikes with them for 2-3 weeks to get data, and hopefully get new displays.
I'll probably do this after the riding season ends.
If these displays are known to have issues I don't know why Gazelle can't just send out new ones. I feel like I've jumped through enough hoops here. Giving up the bikes for 2-3 weeks seems like asking a lot.
I maintain 3 stars. Great bike. Lousy display. Nice attempt at customer service, but I feel like I am working harder at fixing this than they are.

we bought 2 gazelle e bikes ultimate10 and are disapointed with the service we had,
AT first we had bought a ultimate and a medeo. wich was exchanged later on for another ultimate
The main complaint is about the suspension- it is very noisy, no help from the store they say it is normal...
Then 1 bike had a bell the other no after asking they oblidge
no mention about what is needed to inflate the tires, had to go back and buy the adaptor
wrong size of bike then seat not adjusted properly and told it needed to be sawn but when got back at the store they said another story and adjusted it.
we do not want to go back to that store for service and we would like to resolve the problem of the suspension which does not sound like a quality bike at all

We both purchased Gazelle e-bikes and we love them. The dealer adjusted them for us and answered all of our questions. We have mainly ridden on rail trails and we are surprised by how far we can ride on the Eco setting.
Bike is terrific, delivery condition, so-so
Bike is terrific, just to in perfect shape upon delivery:
1. There's a squeak, 2. Missing a reflector, 3. Missing handle for battery, 4. Very hard to move gear handle, and, 5. Seat not adjusted properly.

The bike works great
The bike works great, about 60 miles on the battery. and it is lite. I once peddled about 5 miles before I realized the battery was not engaged, The only problem I had was trying to register the serial number. It would not go into their system. I emailed them twice and they never did get back to me. For that reason they are not getting 5 star.

Love my new Avignon
Got a Gazelle Avignon a few months ago, I am a regular bike commuter ~8 miles and it is a delight. No major issues. I like all the features, except 1) the bell doesnt ring very loudly and 2) cant charge with temp below 32F (which it often is in Boston winters) and cant ride befow 23F.
I am 81 and can now pass the girls on the hills.

This bike is a beauty and a well built machine. The finish, including paint and weld joints are impeccable. The bike is big, too big for me due a back injury. While its size/weight make for an extremely comfortable ride, stops and starts are only faintly similar to a conventional bike. The bike is not particularly maneuverable and feels like a tank when negotiating sharp turns and mitigating street traffic. From a cosmetic perspective I’m curious when considering the flawless finish of the bike that quality control didn’t get around to bundling and securing the cords on the handlebar area. Also, the headlamp while integrated, seems like an afterthought based on mounting and lack of intensity. Unfortunately, even with the Bosch mid-drive, the bike is terribly underpowered, lacking torque to easily assist on grades. I don’t think I would purchase this bike if I had the chance to reconsider.

It is worth the few extra dollars
The buying experience with our local Gazelle dealer (Cranked Bike Studio) and great engineering of your bikes, has gone beyond any of our expectations. We got the C8's for many reasons, test rode about 15 different brands, and decided on the Gazellles!
Gazelle really did the design right
I love the design of my new Royal Dutch Gazelle bike. The combination of the comfortable ride of the bike with the Bosch motor and Enviolo hub make longer journeys through the city possible and even pleasant. The Ultimate is making car-free living better.
