NEVER buy these, I would happily give 0 stars if possible. It took several attempts to get a Neros voucher, then in the smallprint it says that the whole amount needs to be spent on one occasion, no mention of this on the giftchoice card, only in the smallprint terms and conditions. This voucher was a gift to my elderly parents who like a brew in Neros, they spend maybe 8 pounds at once so should have been able to use it 3 times if the voucher worked like all others they have ever been given. In my opinion an absolute con.

My advice is to stay away from this company at all costs if you don't want to part with your well earned money. The customer service will throw their terms and conditions at you if you are not able to redeem the card. Given the recent pandemic one would expect some sort of assistance from them in resolving the issue, but unfortunately gift choice is not one of them!! They are more than happy to keep your money and leave the customer empty handed. Unethical company!!

Lost over £200 in cards that my daughters received as birthday presents.
Had forgotten about the cards, and when I realised, they had expired, 2 or 3 weeks. Contacted customer service and 'sorry'.... you lost your bloody money!

Company stopped responding to my emails after I asked multiple times when I was asking how long until this store was going to be restocked… how can you advertise a gift card to redeem in a list of stores, then when you go to redeem it none of the stores are available for you to redeem! What a waste of money

Avoid this company's gift cards
I bought 2 £25 Gift Choice cards from Sainsbury's in Loughton on 4th March this year and gave them to my son's girlfriend for her birthday the next day. She has been unable to redeem them. When she complained they told her that the cards had been successfully redeemed at Argos - they hadn't. When I complained they told me we had to get in touch with Argos. It's not an easy thing to do. I have now got in touch with Sainsbury's and they've given me a number for a company that deals with 3rd party gift cards on Monday. I hope they're able to help as I feel embarrasssed that my gift has proved worthless and robbed of £50.

I had a card which I have been unable to use over the last year, when I did go to use it on the 15th June, it had expired but only the day before.
The customer service gave me some fluff about how some retailers had extended vouchers due to the pandemic but as I hadn't redeemed my card yet there was nothing they could do, they then proceeded to send me their terms and conditions several times as a justification for not being able to help, not being able to and not wanting to is not the same thing.
Good to see some of the retailers they use have good customer service but unfortunately Giftchoices customer service is non-exsistent.

Complete con. I was given two £25 cards, but when I tried to redeem them for Hobby craft, I was unable to due to "high demand" and "low stock". Emails to Gift Choice and Hobby craft fell on deaf ears, so I redeemed one of them for WHSmith, which I spent there on books and magazines. When I tried to redeem the second one, Hobby craft had disappeared off the list, so I went WHSmith again. I never received the email containing the barcode, so £25 gone forever. It's a con. Do NOT buy Gift Choice gift cards.

I specifically wanted to redeem my vouchers for a retailer whose logo was printed on the front of the card as the gift card was part of a particular present from my son. On the redeem website the retailer was detailed in the 'shop' but not available on the selection screen when redeeming. I emailed and was told there wasn't sufficient stock; I should "consider another store available from the list" and there was no estimated time for when the retailer I wanted would be available.
So, basically "s** off".

Just want to redeem for one of the shops listed but they repeatedly tell you they're out of stock- what nonsense when they already have your money to just transfer to the shop. They push you towards argos and primark which isn't what you want to buy. All in all a terrible, terrible setup.

I wish I checked these reviews before purchasing the card - the worst thing I have ever done - what a waste of money .. the only available option is Argos and its to hard to communicate with these people. THEY LIE!!! all the retailers on the card are unavailable and I will be taking this higher!!

Have tried to redeem on several occasions with same result and I am repeatedly pushed towards Argos and Primark, which I do not want. Gift Choice? I received a gift card just before the 1st Covid lockdown and didn’t get the opportunity to use it with all of the stores closed. I contacted Giftchoice and asked if they would kindly extend the expiry due to the exceptional covid circumstances, but they refused. I have sent them many emails asking them to reconsider but they won’t, just keep telling me to refer to the terms and conditions. Surely they should temporarily change their terms and conditions in such circumstances? As other companies have!
Most gift cards expire in 5 years. Giftchoice only give you 12 months from the date it was purchased to use!! As far as I’m concerned receiving money for a gift and then refusing to honour it, is theft! Which I have expressed to them.
They’re not even slightly interested, they have your money and as they will happily tell you there’s nothing you can do about it!
Contacting this company is a complete waste of time has a feel of “computer says no about it”
I will be taking the matter further.
