Do not rent a car on this location really bad customer service and they will try to still your money, there are better option out there.

Worst Car Hire Company in the World
Hired a car from this hire company and the car had so many dents and scratches it would have taken up most of my memory on my camera to document. After returning it with no issues from me they decided to keep £300 of my deposit for a scratch that i did not cause and for returning it dirty. Considering it was raining when i returned it back to the airport i think they were expecting me to get a shammy on it and wax it. What a joke!!! DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS ROBBING OUTFIT....
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - zero customer service and inept staff
Exceptionally poor customer service. On arrival no one was at the desk, I called the number and the guy came along reasonably quickly. While I was being served other customers arrived, at which point he stopped serving me and started serving them which involved lengthy discussions. I found this exceptionally rude.
However, the problems really started after arrival back in the UK. Apparently I was snapped speeding at some point and Global Rent a car requested further 150Zl to process the fine. Ok fine. However, they provided every single detail to Polish traffic enforcement incorrectly. To avoid potential problems visiting Poland in the future I tried to contact Global rent a car to correct the details and ensure the fine was paid ASAP. They insist on you emailing them for support to which they can take up to 1 month to respond and frequently do. I spoke to one customer service person who was extremely rude, totally unhelpful and very unprofessional. Customer service have not helped at all and would not escalate my issue to senior managers. I will never ever ever again use Global rent a car.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Global Rent-A-Car Damage Scam-Beware U.S. citizens
Like many other reviewers, I had the same problem with Global Rent-a-Car, renting from the Poznan Airport in Poland. I had been connected with Global Rent-a-Car through holidayautos.com. When I arrived to pick up my car during their stated business hours (10 am on a Saturday) I was charged an additional 150 zl. Their hours were stated as 0800-2000 on the Holiday Autos reservation confirmation email. The attendant did not do a walk-thru of the vehicle but simply showed me a piece of paper that demonstrated where existing damage was on the vehicle. I refused to sign the document unless the attendant did a walk through but he let me take the vehicle anyway. When I returned the vehicle two weeks later, again during their stated hours, there was no attendant present to do a walk-thru of the vehicle. I left the keys in the key box and went on to my flight out of the country. One week later I received a 2,600 zl bill for damage to the rear bumper. Global sent along pictures of a small 2 inch crack in the bumper of the rented vehicle, which could have been caused by any vehicle backing in and out of the rental car parking lot. I certainly did not cause the damage during my time with the car. The damage amount was conveniently close to the damage deposit of 3,000 zl that they had authorized on my credit card. I'm in the process of fighting it through my Barclay's credit card. It's hard to take any other action against Global from back in the U.S. My recommendation to any other traveler in Poland (especially U.S. citizens who seem to be targets) is DO NOT USE GLOBAL RENT A CAR (or any third party providers that have Global in their network such as Holiday Autos).
Scam!
Just like a large number of other clients scammed by claiming damage that was not caused by me
global give me the 50€ back
in Munich, via BSP cars, instead of a Ford Focus sw they gave us a Skoda Fabia sw, it's definitely not the same category. the next day they took 50 € for the cleaning of the vehicle, which was never accepted in the contract and was never claimed by them. it's a real scam, never Global anymore.
Never again
Never again. They charged me for scratches that wasn't mine. And all that happend after I left the car and no worker checked it....
Scam you can not avoid
Scam you can not avoid.
Global Rent-a-Car makes money by scamming ("charging") clients few hundred euro for bogus damages and/or normal wear almost invisible micro-scratches, paint chips etc.You are not able to find them by inspecting or record them by taking pictures.
Rented for years from many rental companies (Budget, Avis, Enterprise,Express) and see clear the difference between tricks, small prints, re-fueling overcharges and just scam.
I rented Toyota Corolla WGM44647 at Krakow airport. Car was 1 year old and looked almost new. Damage report showed 16 points.
I was able find only 5 of them. I took pictures of all car before and after rental. I asked for inspection after returning car. I was shown tiny discolored spots on the edge of the driver door visible from very close distance only. I took closer picture with my phone camera but discolored spot was to tiny to show on the picture.
Next day I was charged over $300 for complete 2 layer door painting. I was send pictures taken with high resolution camera showing discolored spots as a proof.
STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE from this…
STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE from this company - you better choose to walk instead of hiring a car from them!!!
In my case they applied their usual scam scenario:
1. not mentioning all dents and scratches on the report (luckily I took a pictures and made video) upon collection of the car,
2. ask you to leave a car and keys without employee inspecting it (although during social - working hours),
3. send you aftermath an invoice with blurry pictures stating you are to blame for these scratches and finally debit your card.
I did take pictures and after having received an invoice I called them to rectify their "error" but no reply, no one picks up the phone at the customer service. I booked it through Ryan Air Car Hire (Cartrawler), so I wonder how did they get there in the first place?
I will pursue the case, report it as a serious fraud but suggest to stay as far as possible to avoid unnecessary stress. Will also contact Cartrawler to REMOVE them from recommended car hire companies.
Rent it from Rzeszow Airport no problems
Rent it from Rzeszow Airport few weeks back, had a collision with deer day before we should give the car back.
Hassle free rang the service all information provided with pictures job done it happens, tow truck came in drop new car take the damaged one back happy days but as a high user of hire car company I always purchase full insurance from them so there’s no hidden costs.
I understand there’s always small letter writing somewhere but is not only global I’ve had issues with other ones too.
This company should receive negative…
This company should receive negative starts as even 1 star is too much for them. I had the worst experience with them not only in terms of renting the car but also in terms of making the complaint. As all other customers I was accused of damages to the car which obviously I didn't do. When I asked them to provide me photos of the car from before I rented to be able to compare with the accusation, they said that it's not their duty and I should be the one to prove that I'm not guilty. After many emails where I proved them their incompetence they started to threaten me. They demanded that I must remove all negative comments from social media as it's damaging to their company's reputation and if I won’t do it they'll report me to the police as the one making an offence. Guess what – I’ve already sent notification about possible crime to public prosecutor’s office. Avoid that company at any costs.
There should be 'zero star' option...
There should be 'zero star' option...
We rented a car at Katowice Pyrzowice Airport. Nice & 'convenient' service, quick pick up with existing scratches report then nobody to check the car upon return, just quick 'drop in document&keys' box.
Today received an email that I need to pay almost £200 for damage which we never did. My insurance company will be dealing with it.
As far as I know from my friend who works for insurance company, this is what happens on regular basis in Poland if you don't buy insurance car directly from car rental company.
Shame on you global car rental.
Never use this company for Car Rental
Never use this company for Car Rental, at least not in Warsaw, Poland.
Completely worthless and incompetent staff at the office and hidden expenses in the contract. Weeks after your return you will get an e-mail that they will withdraw an amout from your deposit because of car damages which was never there etc...
Just, never!
Warning stay well clear !!
Warning stay well clear !!! Just like all the other reviews they will find a way to get money out of you ...do not use ....so usual story with me on return damage done to the car .....Never use this company
I have been scammed by this company
I have been scammed by this company. They have returned the deposit in full, however a week later they have charged my credit card for an amount of 200 EUR for an alleged scratch I haven’t caused! They sent me pictures of bird droppings visible on the bumper claiming it is a scratch! I couldn’t believe it is true. I thought it is just a mistake and I did try to contact them, but they don’t reply on emails. Avoid this company!
DON´T USE THIS COMPANY!
DON´T USE THIS COMPANY!! We made a booking and according to the voucher the office was opened monday-sunday all hours. We were delayed because of a storm, when we finally arrived to pic up the car the office was closed, the phonenumber on the sign was also closed. Instead we had to take a taxi to the hotel and had no car on our vacation! WE WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
Global was actually quite ok... compared to other reviews
Rather many have given bad reviews about Global, but I have to admit that I didn't have any problems using their services. And I'm the kind of guy who reads all the reviews before booking anything and consider my choices with care.
I rented a car from Global at Krakow Airport. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
+ Cheap.
+ Easy to use -website.
+ No-hassle pick-up/drop-off
Cons:
- Website does not clearly state different damage waivers. I took the most expensive package, and the clerk told me that it was comparable to "zero excess" or SCDW. However I find this a problem in almost all rental car companies.
- Credit card deposit for a small car was rather high. 500 euros, if I remember right.
Other:
- I took a small car, but what I got had a really low engine performance - well below what I expected. Well, this isn't probably fault of the company.
- Car rental desks are located in a tricky place inside a small corridor at Krakow Airport.
Be aware
Be aware! Global rent a car is a scam. Their extremely rude personnel told me that i am not eligible to get a car unless i pay full insurance coverage. I asked which law states that, they showed me some clauses from the voucher. First time i was faced with such nonsense.
They also said fuel policy full to empty applies for me! I asked the fuel price just for fun, i was asked to pay two times the normal rate.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
This company are totally immoral.
I gave then a few chances and each time they scammed me out of money for damage that wasn’t incurred.
The last time they supplied a car in a non road worthy status.
There was no washer fluid in the car which I only noticed whilst on the motorway in fog and had to drive 47 kilometres to purchase washer fluid. When I tried to reclaim the £5for the fluid they refused. It’s not the £5, its the principle. I have reported them to the Polish authorities. DO NOT USE THEM
I can testify that I have been wrongly…
I can testify that I have been wrongly charged for a very large scratch on the rented car to the value of almost £400. The rented car had over 20 reports of marks / scratches / damages on the status document at the moment of the pick-up. The status document showing the damages was NOT given to me, only sent by e-mail. I had no real possibility to compare the car with its status (no way I would remember all the damages). My family and I did however clearly see a 10 cm long and deep scratch on the car. I thought that this scratch must of course already be on the status report. It was unmissable. I have now found out, after having returned home, that the rental company debited my card of an amount close to £400. It is difficult for me to defend my case legally. I would nonetheless like to highlight this awful and unacceptable practice. I have booked at least 50 rentals with various companies and never felt so ripped off. Best regards, Frederic
