Glad to share my travelling experience

I have booked a Sprinter Van for my group when we were at Poland tour. The overall experience was good and we enjoyed our trip. The main thing was the driver and our guide have good knowledge of the city and they both provide us fully information that we needed. we had great time with "Global Rent A Car Poland"

Caution - Panek

Caution - Tourist Trap!!! Avoid using the company's services!!!

We rented a car from Panek for a duration of eight days: we picked up the car at Krakow Airport and returned it at Katowice Airport. The rental agreement, as agreed upon, cost us approximately 1700 złoty (including regular insurance), and we added an external insurance for 515 złoty. To spare you the details: due to a bureaucratic issue that could have been easily resolved, we were forced to pay an additional 1200 złoty for the company's insurance (meaning double insurance), and finally: another 250 (!!!) złoty for car cleaning (which we didn't use excessively). In other words, the rental - renting a car for eight days - cost us around 3700 złoty.

We were not the only ones who had to add money at the time of car pickup. Customers before us were required to add a substantial amount to their original booking. Even customers who came after us had to pay extra.

Another serious issue was the size of the cargo space. When we rented the car, we were promised that it would fit "three large bags," but in reality, it couldn't even fit two standard-sized suitcases (50/79/27 cm). We had to place one of the suitcases on the back seat of the car. So, we traveled around Poland with four people in a cramped and uncomfortable car, which ultimately cost us over 3700 złoty.

We rented the car through the Rentalcar company, which did not help us resolve this issue. And one more thing: the contract and all documents were in Polish, without an English translation. It seems that the contract is not the same as those used in other countries.

We made this mistake, but you - do yourselves a favor and look for a car from another company.

Avoid - don't be fool by cheap prices

Avoid! It's a proper scam, car rental was cheap but I had to buy additional insurance because my credit card had only my first name initial and not my full name they claimed that they can't validate if this is my card but when came to pay for additional insurance I use the same card and then they didn't have any obligations! Also booked car for 9pm - noone in office when called on the number I have been told that they are at the car wash and will be 10min late - then called again after 15min and they still haven't arrived as they were at the petrol station. So, the customer service gentleman arrived at 9.30 pm, and being arrogant that how I dared to chase him. Also on my docs regarding the collection of the car, it stated that I picked it up 9 pm and the car was dirty! Send an email to customer care with complaint - no response received!

Avoid them at all costs!

Do not be fooled by low car rentals and promotions by Flex to Go, Flex Rent a Car or Global Rent a Car - all part of the same company with complaints handled by customer care of Global-Rent-a-Car.

During a car pick up the man in the Warsaw Modlin airport office became arrogant when I did not want to take their insurance, I had mine pre-arranged. At the drop off I waited almost an hour during late morning for a joint car inspection. The employee was missing from the office all this time and the other one was not interested in doing it. The promised Drop-off Protocol meant to be emailed to me on the day but it arrived six days later with a pre-fabricated evidence of the damage that I did not do. They emailed me to say that £264.68 was taken from my credit card deposit for the alleged damage. The customer care has been denying any wrong doings and also asked for my evidence that the car was not damaged. Not once they acknowledged that they do not provide a good customer service during their official opening hours. I am convinced that their employee deliberately avoided the joint car inspection so they could manipulate evidence to scam me out of money.

I managed to get back money taken from my credit card. Please be very careful when dealing with these scammers. You may be tempted to have a cheap car hire but it can turn into the most expensive car hire you have ever had. They are scammers and lack of proper customer care. Avoid them at all cost. I would not give them even one star based on my experience.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! - Poznan branch

Absolutely shocked by their service!
We landed in Poznan and went to pick up the car, which we paid for in advance, only to be charged an extra £210.00 for having initials on a credit card!
Yes, apparently, you require to have a full first name on the credit card; we provided seven different bank cards, a driving license, and a passport, but it still wasn't enough to prove identity ...big laugh. After we confronted customer service and explained that all bank cards issued in the UK have initials of the first name instead of the full version, the answer was: "oh, they know that, and it happened before with guests from the UK..." and still charged us!

good service with resonable price

If you have any issue with the rental agency during the rental service, you can contact to the service center, then they will help you well, though it takes some time. they are willing to listen about the issue and solve the problems.

I arrived to pick up my rental and was…

I arrived to pick up my rental and was surprised to learn that a credit card was required. As I did not have one with me, I had to cancel the rental. Despite being unable to use the rental, I was still charged for the cancellation. It would have been helpful if the requirement for a credit card had been communicated to me beforehand.

Scammers

Scammers. That day when I tried to rent a car and didn't get it - even though I already paid for it - there were many people that they scammed leaving the counter without a car that they paid for... As the only renting company they need your credit card to be 6 months before the expiry date... what a scam. Every other company needs a maximum of 3 months' validity. Some don't need it at all - which is logical - because: I got the ticket in Dubai and renting company was able to charge me 4 months after my card expires - that is why it is a CREDIT card.

Scammers

Scammers. They charged me 6 day after I returned the car $278 for damage. I returned the car in perfect condition. As it shows many other customers had similar or exactly same experience with this company.
Avoid this place.

Avoid Krakow branch!!!!!!!! The charged my credit card 1.5 week…

The charged my credit card 1.5 week after I returned the car for £96.11 without prior communication or warning accusing me falsely for transporting an animal in the car!!!!!!!! Jakub, who I spoke to, refused to give me his full name. I'm taking legal action against them! Never had such a bad experience before and I rent all over the world!

Really bad customer service

Really bad customer service. The person who served me charged me extra because the flight was delayed. When he found out I have got extra insurance via the website I booked with he became very deinterested in providing me any customer service! Won’t be using again and don’t recommend to anyone!

Krakow Airport - Good Car Hire firm - Global - Mark Hill 61yrs old UK Resident

we arranged to fire a Ford Focus or similar and received a Seat Aroma so was very pleased, the car was full of fuel, spotlessly clean and undamaged, the hire desk staff were fast, helpful, knowledgeable and kind and also spoke very good English, weve hired many cars from airports and will use this company again wherever possible - much better than the better known blue chip firms

I don't know why global rental flagged…

I don't know why global rental flagged my reviews are afraid of the truth.
I have been charged for damage I did not do. I rented a car for 2 weeks, they took money for damage which I did not do. they are treacherous crooks and thieves sent me pictures of damage from several cars.please be careful with these thieves and scamers I am still surprised that you still have clients, after such scams you do by sending photos of different cars that nobody will get upset you have a good deceptive team that takes a picture and describes your scams I think that such people are in a prison, not in service

Great company. Car was in perfect condition and also provided a great deal for insurance etc. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs a car rental service in Wroclaw. Will use them again!

Global Rent A Car 'telling truth to your face'

Better not to book again.
Once badly bitten twice shy.
If I had booked again in advance, I would cancel.

Think Goldcar and multiply by 10. If you know, you know.

If I had a booking with this company now I would cancel.

Problems with insurance and fuel. The insurance previously purchased was said not to be valid in Poland where 'it doesn't work like that'.

The company wrongly charged for petrol. Although this was refunded, a month later, it required an enormous amount of work.

Both transactions were part of the same experience.
A double whammy of frustrating nonsense.

Global rentacar represents the last thing a customer needs at an airport.

In order to comply with guidelines may I say that this company tells the truth to your face and leaves you without recourse.

Bad experience, won't recommend

We rented a car in advance, paid £180 online , when we went to collect it we had to pay extra £180 because we don't own credit cards. When we needed road assistance on the way we had to organise it and pay ourselves because they don't cover it - even if we paid full insurance for a week. I won't be using it again and I don't recommend to anyone. It would be cheaper for us to get a taxi for a whole journey.

Please take lots and lots of pictures…

Please take lots and lots of pictures as you will need them. They couldn't even be bothered to do a inspection of the car with me when we picked it up i had to do it myself then go back to the desk to show them...I am waiting for them to get back to us with so-called proof of damage which could only be seen after the car was washed as we left it dirty, il try a put pictures on
i took of the car just to show how clean the car actual was in there parking bay at the airport it was left it in a better state than pickup...was told the desk was not open at 4 AM in the morning so nobody there to do a hand back inspection of the car, told to put keys in drop box at the desk... so that's why I took all the pictures of it ...please be aware
