GO Forth! Motorhome Hire Reviews 

James and Stef were brilliant from start to finish. great communication throughout. All my daft questions were answered politely and promptly. Which really helps when its the first time you've hired and driven a motorhome. The motorhome itself was spotless with everything you would need.. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again

We have just returned to Ireland from an amazing trip around the Highlands with Skye from Go Forth! Motorhome Hire, it was a fantastic trip from every aspect including the weather (all 4 seasons), the locations, the scenery and of course the great experience with the Go Forth team and Skye the campervan, we miss her already.

It took me some time initially to find the perfect van during the booking process as our trip route was over 600 miles and I knew some of the routes leading to campsites would be single lane with passing spaces, so I was more comfortable getting something the size of Skye versus a slightly bigger motorhome (which go Forth also have, and James was kind enough to give us a tour of on the day, and they are cracking too).
After narrowing down the van type, we still had multiple options but the user reviews for go forth, and their upfront costs with no hidden fees and charges gave me confidence to go with them, I also checked out their social media and they seemed like a great small independent team that I was more than happy to trust, and we're very glad we did!

The booking was smooth, James and Steph noticed an issue with the address on my driving license 2 weeks prior to pick up that would have given me issues with insurance, but I was able to correct it on my side with the 2 weeks notice they provided, I'm not sure I would have gotten that support elsewhere, payment was in advance and it was good to know I didn't need to think about any other admin on the day of collection other than signing one page.
On collection, James showed my wife and I around Skye, gave us a very thorough demonstration of how everything worked, from all the digital controls to space heating, water heating, lights and cooking etc. And then how to empty and fill water for fresh and waste, and what to do if anything malfunctions or if we forget, and that was simply to give them a message or call over Whatsapp as they give on demand support which was a great reassurance!

After showing us the ropes, and giving us a very big wave and send off out the gate, we were on our way to Glencoe, we did unfortunately hit crazy traffic in the valley due to roadworks, but the Android Auto set up in Skye and the breathtaking scenery helped kill the time until we reached our 1st stop "Red Squirrel" campsite in Glencoe

We had a question about the space heating after arriving as it was freezing outside, James was super quick to give us a call back and had us sorted within minutes, we were up to a comfortable 19 degrees in the van in no time (and it goes much higher 😃)

After Glencoe we went further north west to Shieldaig and Clachtoll before looping back towards Glenmore for 2 more nights and eventually finishing up in Anstruther about an hour from Cowdenbeath which was ideal for dropping back on the final day.

Drop off was very easy, a quick hand over and a thank you and we were on our way!

In summary a 5 star experience from Go Forth! And from Scotland! Can't wait to come back

It has taken me a long time to post this review and I am very sorry for that. The whole experience of booking to dropping the Van off was so supported, always available with any little niggle or minor disaster whilst getting used to the Van and van life the team was so reactive. We travelled in Rosie and she was perfect. I dont need to say anything about the scenery we travelled around the NC500, it was breathtaking and we had amazing weather. Never plucked up the courage to camp off grid but the sites ranged from adequate to amazing. Met wonderful people and made amazing memories.

We had an excellent experience with GoForth, James was great and we hired Hamish for 7 days to do the NC500. The van was the perfect size for 2 and our Cockerpoo, Easily managing the narrowest parts of the NC500 and the Auto Gearbox is a must !
Will defo go with them again no hidden cost as everything included, even Free WiFi onboard that worked at every stop of the NC500..nice touch.

Our first time in a camper as a family was made fantastic by Go Forth. Everything from the booking, documents and collection was so easy. Handover was well explained and could not fault Peppa either. We have been able to make some great family memories during the school break and would definitely be returning for future rentals.

We have hired motorhomes many times but this company is by far the best.The pricing is clear with no hidden extras, the communication is first class from booking to end of hire and James had exceptional knowledge of the van .We were reassured by the ability to to contact him 24/7 through the hire.
We had Barney, the van is well equipped with everything you need and some little extras too.
I would highly recommend this company and definitely use them again when we revisit Scotland and I will be spreading the word too.

We hired Douglas for a week to see the NC500 and he was everything we hoped for. Communication was great from start to finish. They kept us informed and entertained with great reels. It was very reassuring to know that James was just a phone call away if we needed help with anything. Everything we needed for our week away was supplied, we simply had to add food and clothes.
A great friendly company to deal with, we will be back!

Brilliant service from GoForth motorhome hire! We hired Douglas for our trip away and it was hassle free and our departure was made quick and easy with James explaining everything that we needed to know. Douglas was the perfect size for just the two of us and had absolutely everything that we needed. Would definitely recommend.

From the very first enquiry, James, Stef, and James’ dad at GoForth Motorhomes were absolute stars. They patiently answered all our questions in the run up to the holiday, which meant we started our trip already feeling in safe hands.

We hired Hamish and honestly, he’s not just a campervan, he’s a fully stocked holiday cottage on wheels. Gas? Included. Cutlery, plates, bedding, games, toilet roll, sat nav? WAIT, WI-FI?!! All there! You can shower, cook, and even charge your phone while parked in the middle of nowhere pretending you’re Bear Grylls (but with clean hair, a hot meal and a roof). All you need to pack is food, clothes, and your favourite people.

When we arrived to pick up Hamish, we weren’t just handed a set of keys and left to it. James took us through everything. From how to turn on the heating and hot water, to operating the shower, emptying the toilet, and the all important sat nav.

My daughter was a little nervous about driving a large vehicle for the first time, but James took her out for a test drive, giving helpful hints and tips that made her feel comfortable and confident before setting off.

Hamish was spotless, well thought out, and a joy to travel in. The beds were cosy and comfortable for a good nights sleep and being able to open the back doors for that morning view was the icing on the cake.

Would we recommend GoForth? Absolutely. Knowing we could call them anytime if we got stuck gave us total peace of mind. We laughed, we adventured, we learned more than we ever thought we’d need to know about portable toilets… and we loved every second. Can’t wait for our next trip! We miss you Hamish!

We hired Hamish for 4 nights to explore some of the highlands. Hamish had everything we needed and more! Extremely comfortable and easy to manoeuvre! The customer service from James and Stef was excellent from start to finish and communication was great. Pick up and drop off were hassle free. Already looking to book again 🙂

If you only ever hire a motor home/ camper van once, this is the company to use. I have hired from 4 different companies and Go Forth! Are miles ahead on service given, from 1st contact to driving home after your holiday. We hired Ronnie. The attention to detail and quality of items , WiFi, TV, outdoor furniture, linens, crockery, cutlery the list goes on, was superb. And the many extras from welcome pack to games. My personal favourite was the big blue foam hand to wave to other motorhome users, brought many a smile. Can't wait to book again, the biggest decision is which van this time.

I have a huge positive review to write so I will start with the headline - I would recommend Go Forth without any hesitation and will absolutely be booking again!!

Before booking our trip, I must have looked at 100 campervans/motorhomes and therefore tonnes of companies and am SO glad we booked with Go Forth! Firstly it’s a family run business, and this really shows with the level of care, detail, thought and consideration that they have put into literally every stage of booking/picking up/using/returning the vehicle. The whole experience was just so smooth, they were incredibly helpful, kind and friendly with every interaction we had with them.

In terms of the van (we booked Hamish and miss him already!!) - it is absolutely true when they say ‘just bring clothes and cash’. We actually couldn’t believe how much they’d thought about and catered for when it came to the van setup. From the little welcome basket of goodies, the tiny little packets of salt and pepper, the board games, the little soap/wash bag/tv/wifi, all the kitchen appliances, towels, bedding, camping chairs and even a little highland cow teddy to take on our travels - they have literally thought of everything.

The intro and talk through of the van was thorough, super helpful and clear - nothing was missed and James explained everything easily for us first timers! We only had one small issue during the trip and James was super quick to call me and help me resolve.

Truly I couldn’t recommend this company enough and we can’t wait to book another trip!!

We really enjoyed our trip in “Barney”. The motorhome was clean and really well equipped. Nice to have folding chairs and tables provided as well as board games, bedding and towels. The fact there was WiFi and a smart tv on board were totally unexpected but welcome. The pick up and drop off process was easy, the staff were friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Thanks so much had a thoroughly enjoyable week.

From pickup to drop off, the service and care from Goforth, James and Steph was second to none. Being first time motorhome users and being from Canada , where we drive on the correct side of the road (James disagrees with this assessment LOL) we were probably a bit more high maintenance than most people. James answered all my emails in quick time and calmed my anxiety about the narrow roads. Rosie was wonderful to drive and had everything we needed. Yes, money and clothes are definitely all you need. We enjoyed your brilliant country and will consider a second trip to see all we missed. Definitely in another Goforth Motorhome. Cheers to 5 stars

We recently hired a motorhome and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The owners were incredibly professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They took the time to show us how everything worked and were always available if we had any questions.

The van itself was immaculate and thoughtfully kitted out with everything you could possibly need — from kitchen essentials and comfortable bedding to outdoor chairs and even a few thoughtful extras that made our trip even more enjoyable. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making sure the motorhome was ready for any kind of adventure.

We wouldn’t hesitate to hire from them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and well-equipped motorhome. A five-star experience all round!

I have just finished a weeks hire from the team at Goforth and it was a hassle free and excellent process. They are a small family run business who present their motorhomes in excellent condition and the hire went without an issue. The induction process explained all I needed to know to get myself and my family on the road to enjoy our holiday and the guys are available via a WhatsApp chat should you have any questions. We hired Peppa and it was fantastically kitted out with all the equipment you could need as a family and some excellent small touches which made our trip easy and one to remember. Having shopped around a bit, we came across GoForth Motorhome Hire. James and Stef were very professional and super friendly, and more than happy to show us their vans before we made any commitment. The vans for hire were all excellent, and we were lucky to get a dog friendly van for the week we wanted to go touring around Scotland in June. I would highly recommend this company. Their price is very competitive, their comms excellent, and they were so easy to work with. This was our first time in a motorhome, and thanks to James and Stef we had a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. Give these guys a try, you wont be disappointed
