Barney’s Adventures
Having been let down last minute with another motorhome we were lucky to secure Barney for our planned long weekend trip doing our own version of NC250! A try to see if we liked Motorhoming!
Barney was excellent, a well stocked home from home even with a lovely welcome kits from the owners of Scottish essentials like water, irn bru, crisps and borders biscuits to get us started.
James met us when he said he would and took us through how Barney operated and where everything was and how he worked from using the ramps to level him off, where the gas was and where the cables were and how to do the not so nice but essential gray and black waste emptying!
We visited some lovely campsites and the scenery was as you can imagine out of this world.
Dog friendly for well behaved polishes too meant we could take our beloved four Goldie.
True to thier word they were available for silly questions as we got used to him and answered promptly and never made you feel daft!
We got him home without incident, loved out time in him and got to see a couple of other options GoForth have available perhaps for our next trip!?
Easy company to work with, friendly and helpful with excellent quality and modern vans, Barney was well admired by many!

We recently used Go Forth motorhome hire for an 8 day rental.
This company is faultless and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to do the NC500.
Mark, James (and Stephanie) were so very helpful. They responded very quickly and very thoroughly to emails and questions as we researched which company to hire from.
They advised which bus company to use in order to travel easily between Edinburgh airport and their depot in Cowdenbeath.
Nothing was too much trouble.
On collection day, I arrived by public transport and they drove me into the town centre twice.
The demonstration of the vehicle DANNI was very thorough, and during the week I had a query which they also responded to in detail supporting the answer with a short video to highlight the response to my query, which answered my question helpfully.
On the return day they met us early so we could coordinate our return to Edinburgh airport, and checked us out quickly.
Upon returning from our trip they quickly assessed the vehicle to return us our security deposit.
I would rate them with 5 gold stars and I hope to use them again in 2026.
Fantastic customer service.

5 star motorhome hire
We recently hired a motorhome from GOforth for our tour of Scotland. Great location for us driving from Surrey. We booked Peppa which was ideal for us. Mark & James have truly thought of everything and as they say just bring food/money/clothes.
All communication was excellent from hiring process/queries prior to start date/handover instructions and departure.
We Have recommended GOForth to local family and friends in Fife. Mark & James deserve the 5 star reviews as they do offer a 5 star service.

We used Go forth for hire of bungle for four nights,we had an excellent time away and all our needs were met and some.
everything was fully explained on pick up and all our needs were catered for.
As this was our first time in a motorhome we were a bit unsure on how everything worked but at any time of day and night James was available to assist us and we couldn’t have asked for any more.
I have recommended Go forth to lots of people since I returned and would not hesitate to use the guys again.

The Ambleside Lodge Seton Sands
I had the absolute pleasure of booking The Ambleside for the last week of August. This is truly a home from home with every conceivable amenity one could wish for. Spotlessly clean, Hive heating and situated at the very back of Golf Village in a quiet Cul de Sac. Mark and James, owners, stayed in touch from the beginning to the end of my weeks stay. They truly care about Customer satisfaction and are a credit to their business. As a very “fussy” single lady I have no hesitation in recommending their beautiful lodge to anyone who wishes a quiet getaway. 😊

Danni’s and the NC500
I can not recommend the company high enough.
James and Mark explained everything to us before we left and even were on hand to answer any questions we had on our trip. I feel they go above and beyond for customer service.
Danni was a lovely van very comfortable to drive and negotiate on the skinny roads of the North Coast.
This was out first time using a camper van and the whole experience was amazing.
The choice now for next year is…..Europe or the Scottish Islands

Just back from a weeks break touring…
Just back from a weeks break touring the West coast of Scotland.
Highly recommend Bungle.🐻🫶 He is very comfortable and the most spacious shower we have had in a Motorhome. He was immaculate. And had everything you need.
Our experience with GoForth was excellent from start to finish.
James and Mark are so professional and friendly.
They explain in detail everything you need to know before your trip and knowing they are at the end of the phone is very reassuring.
This is our second time hiring from GoForth and we will definitely be back.

We had looked online at a few Motorhome hirers, and we decided to choose Goforth.
We weren’t disappointed, James and Mark were so helpful, even letting our daughter visit and have a look at which option of vehicle might suit us. (She lives locally)
We decided on Danni, it was fully laden with everything we needed for our trip around the NC 500, inc outside table and four chairs, gas, and many more handy items…not only that, but any odd query we had during our travels, one of the guys answered almost immediately.

Lovely experience hiring a motorhome from GoForth. Excellent customer service and excellent communication before departure. Very friendly and easy to book.
We hired Peppa. Spotless and comfortable. Plenty of bedding and towels. Outdoor table and chairs provided too. All you need is your clothes.
My husband found Peppa easy to drive and would recommend an automatic.
Go forth was just a phone call or WhatsApp away in case of any questions whilst on the road.
All in all we would highly recommend this company for motorhome hire.

Excellent communication and customer service throughout. Van exceptionally comfortable and clean and friendly, personal check in and information pre departure. Everything you might need in the van - towels, crockery, cookware, cutlery, cleaning liquids and cloths, towels, bedding - as they say, all you need is your clothes! Go Forth go somewhere else
All I’m going to say is check your van’s condition thoroughly. They will say they are not interested in small chips but they are. Following up from an earlier post about not charging about wing mirrors they charged us £60 labour cost that would take 30 seconds to do. Be carefully where you park as they will take full advantage of any damage. Make sure the dashcam is recording as they don't talk you through it and you expect it to do so to protect yourself.
We don’t have an issue with everything but to be charged £700 for something that wasn’t our fault is ridiculous and still not had the invoices for the damage to prove they had them fixed.
This is not a bad review,just a heads up.

By your own admission, you say the review isn't bad, but ultimately anything less than 5 stars can cause alarm to potential customers 🤔
Let's address the points raised in your review to allow anyone else reading this to understand both sides of story 📖
Firstly, we know the condition of all our motorhomes like the back of our hand before they head out, and we always invite customers to take their own pictures and videos (you declined) when we take our own video before it heads out 🎥
To address your second point, it's small scratches (not chips) we don't mind so as long as we can buff them out with no noticeable damage 🤕
James has become quite the pro with the buffer, and although this costs us time and money on materials, we've yet to charge a customer for a scratch we couldn't buff out 🙅♂️
We've even shown James in action correcting small scrapes at no charge on our TikTok channel 🎵
We're unsure what post about not charging for wing mirrors you refer to in your review as wing mirror damage is something we definitely cannot fix for free 👎
We certainly can't replace them in 30 seconds either! 🏃♂️
Historically, we required the services of a local garage to replace wing mirrors which cost £90 + VAT, so employing our sister company to complete this work at only £60 is a significantly cheaper cost to the customer 👛
The dashcam on the Sat Nav records when you are driving only, not when parked - this is highlighted in our FAQ's on our Website and our User Guide 📱
Dashcam footage would not have absolved you from responsibility in this instance; you were parked irresponsibly (illegally, even?) on the grass verge facing oncoming traffic behind double yellow on a bend where cars do 60 MPH and your wing mirror was not retracted - no insurance company would have accepted that claim 👩⚖️
From the picture you sent us shortly after the incident, it was no surprise the motorhome was hit as you can see clearly it was not an appropriate place to park a 7 metre motorhome 🅿
Unfortunately, it wasn't just the wing mirror that sustained damage, but the debris from the collision caused deep scratches and chips in the doors paintwork that were just too deep for the buffer to fix 😕
We don't have the facilities to paint panels in-house so this job has been outsourced to a local body shop with their charge passed directly to you 📜
We haven't charged you a mark up on their fee nor charged you to cover the staff wages or fuel cost to transport the motorhome to and from the body shop 🚛
We're aware that Customer Damage is a whole other revenue stream for some of the big hire companies, but we've always been proud about our ethical approach to getting damage repaired and always work to keep costs low and affordable which means we make no profit on damage 🤏
To your point about it not being your fault; it was you who parked the motorhome in a vulnerable position so, unfortunately, it is therefore down to you to cover the cost of repair 💳
We genuinely believe we worked to keep this repair as cheap as possible and sorry that you do not share the same view 😞
Regarding your request to see the invoice for repair, Charlie 🏂 will need to be repaired at the end of season as other people have bookings that still have to go ahead despite the damage 🧳
We've made an effort to make him more presentable for the next customers (at no cost to you), but rest-assured the billed repairs will be completed when he's finished his adventures in a few weeks 🌟
We have no hard feelings following this hire; no-one was injured, you otherwise had a great time away and motorhomes can be repaired 🔧

Just returned from our first motorhome…
Just returned from our first motorhome adventure around the Nc500, GoForth are perfectly positioned for us to pick it up on route from the Midlands.
The motorhome Arnie was fantastic and the guys & gals at the yard put us at ease when we collected it. Needless to say we had a brilliant, problem free time.... Now back to work 😞

Our First Motorhome experience
This was our first time hiring a motorhome, and from first contact with Go Forth it was a walk in the park from Mark and James! We hired Peppa for a week and both guys showed us everything we needed to know thoroughly before we set off to do the NC500, Peppa her self was in showroom condition for us and also had its own WiFi 😁. First time hiring motor home from Go Forth Barney , will definitely use again, we took Barney up north doing the NC500, spotless and it had everything you need and even had WiFi which was added bonus kept my grandkids happy.

2nd time with Go Forth!
Our second time with Go Forth and again another fantastic holiday! We took Charlie on his travels to Lancashire, Alton Towers, Chipping Norton, Silverstone for the F1 then back up to Haggerston Castle. Again, the motorhome was immaculate and was equipped with everything you could think of and need. James and Mark again just a message away with any issues we had and when we had an issue that couldn’t be fixed - they even drove over 2 hours to Haggerston to swap over the motorhome for another - fantastic customer service.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hopefully will book another trip away soon.
