We stayed at Abbey House for three nights, 22 of us for a 70th birthday celebration.
We can absolutely recommend it.
It took us a while to be able to navigate this house with its nine bedrooms, loft and countless lounges.
Totally surprised that the owners let anyone stay here.
It was at the end of November so the swimming pool was closed, although the hot tub was available if we wanted to use it.
Super venue for a large family gathering.

From start to finish the process was very smooth. The Cottage was exactly as described, everything was there for you (apart from a sink plug strangely) and it was all decked out for Christmas.

Can’t fault Group Retreats, would recommend and book again.

We had an excellent weekend at Ashfield House to celebrate three big birthdays with family. The house was, very clean and well maintained, large, warm, well equipped, extremely comfortable and although large had a really cosy and homely vibe. Our ages ranged from 1 to 91 and everyone was full of praise for how lovely it was. It was also beautifully decorated for Christmas, thankyou. We were also grateful for the lovely hamper and hot tub. Jason responded very quickly to our request for logs and explained the situation clearly and professionally. Because this beautiful old house has many different levels and steps and one WC on the ground floor, being aware of access and mobility is something to take account of. We would warmly recommend this lovely house and location for family and/or friends gatherings.

We booked a stay at The Plant House via Group Retreats, and we were absolutely blown away! The property was stunning, with so many amazing facilities. The garden area was beautiful, with a hot tub, natural pool, sauna, and even heat lamps by the seating area! They even had a games room. Everything was a five star - I could not fault any of it. Before our arrival, Group Retreats provided us with all the information that we needed and made the check in so smooth. I would definitely book through them again. We loved our stay and we can’t wait to go back! Thank you :)

The Group Retreat's property (Glentworth Hall near Gainsborough) was magnificent!
It's size, decor & furnishings where outstandingly beautiful.
The kitchen was well equipped & the welcome hamper was a really nice touch.
A wonderful property to host our event, we will definitely book with Group Retreats again!

Had the most wonderful weekend here to celebrate my birthday with friends and family at the end of October. The kitchen was well stocked and all of the furnishings were in great condition, the property was immaculate on arrival and the gardens were beautiful. Considering the size of the property and the great condition it's in, I think the price was very fair. We couldn't really have asked for more. Caretaker Abs was also really approachable and responsive and arrangements were swiftly made for the return of some forgotten items! A late check-out was also arranged which was much appreciated. Thank you team!

Thanks to Jason and the Team for a great stay. The poor house is showing the signs of wear and tear but a very fine home, quirky and inviting, plenty of space for everyone to do as they wish. Jason was great, the heating went off and immediately he had it back on and even popped a few more logs outside the door for us. Always nice when someone goes the extra mile.

Brilliant communication that made the process booking with them so straightforward. The house itself was amazing. We plan to rebook again next year.

Our stay at Caer Beris Manor was absolutely fantastic. The property delivered exactly what we needed and in a great location with the town just a short drive down the road and golf course 2 minutes away.

Had the most amazing birthday here - a huge thank you to everyone!! Special shout out to Ross who was super helpful as we checked out very hungover. Would book again in a heartbeat! X

Really amazing stay at fawley estate! The house was lovely and historic and had a very charming feel (especially the pool and dining room). Highly recommend group retreats as a business and fawley estates for larger groups. Was also great value for money!

I booked Harkstead Hall through Airbnb, Group Retreats customer service was incredible! Sending us everything we needed to know and more, they checked in with us the day before and a few days later to see how our stay was. As for the property, it was stunning! I stayed there the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids, plenty of space for us all to have our hair and makeup done in the morning, and plenty of space for entertaining a larger group the night of tje wedding! Would definitely recommend! Thank you for making the time around our wedding so special x

We had an amazing stay at Ashfield Place Farm in Framingham, Ipswich. The mansion itself is stunning, and the cleanliness throughout was absolutely 5-star – everything was spotless and so well looked after. The pool and hot tub were a real highlight, both lovely, warm, and exceptionally clean, making them perfect for relaxing.

The caretaker (jason) was brilliant, always on hand to help and make sure we had everything we needed. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner, who visited at the weekend and was just as warm and welcoming as the property itself.

The rooms were perfect and come with comfy bedding.

the kitchen was a perfect place for socialising and plenty big enough for 28 of us

the pool and hotub were also brilliant sizes!

the house even came with a wireless speaker which is a brilliant idea.

All in all, a wonderful stay in a beautiful home – we couldn’t recommend Ashfield Place Farm more highly.

Stayed at Ashfield place farm. Had everything we needed. Such a beautiful place. Celebrating my husbands 40th with friends. Incredible unforgettable weekend. Will most definitely stay again. Highly recommended for family and friends.

Milton house 19th to 21st September
Just returned from a stay at Milton House Bedfordshire stayed for 2 nights
It was absolutely amazing better the we expected the house was beautiful and spacious the grounds went on for ever loads of little separate areas if you want to have your own space for a while
There were 20 of us age range from 2 to 86 and we all had the best time
The pool and hot tub were great to relax in at the end of busy days
All the gardens were well maintained loads of fruit tree plenty of space to play outdoor games
There were two kitchens well stocked with cutlery plates and all things you might need if cooking which we did just bring your own ingredients and the location was perfect peaceful but not to far from shops if you need anything
Group retreats have done a great job with everything in this property
We will definitely be booking with them again it was the best family staycation we have had

This was our first family staycation and we all had the best time. We stayed at Milton house and the facilities were amazing. We even made use of the apple trees and made our own apple crumble. The grounds were spacious, we had multiple barbecues, tennis, cricket and football tournaments. The options were endless. Would deffo return to Milton house and would definitely use group retreats again!!

Recently stayed at Harkstead Hall in Suffolk. One of Group Retreats' smaller properties with six bedrooms. Absolutely fantastic venue for a family get-together. The hot tub and heated swimming pool were amazing. House extremely well furnished, comfortable and well equipped. All contact with Group Retreats was extremely professional and they were very attentive. We advised them after our stay of a few small issues and they immediately responded advising they would be sorted before the next guests arrived. They even sent us an email thanking us for leaving the house in such good condition!

Great house that was perfect for our needs (15 person company retreat). Good facilities, nice rooms and amazing grounds. Comms were easy and helpful before check-in.

Was really excited about staying in Ashfield Place as it looks such a beautiful farmhouse on the website, but I have to say everything exceeded my expectations 100 fold! What a wonderful 60th birthday with friends and family! Amazing house, clean, comfortable, interesting layout and so large. Crisp sheets and really comfortable beds, beautifully maintained old buildings, carefully managed grounds with lots of mature trees and interesting views, glorious pool, pool table, hot tub and huge kitchen! Did not even get time to play tennis! Close to stunning east Suffolk coast so we had a lovely trip to Dunwich too. Thank you Group Retreats - you are much more than it says on the tin…… very friendly and helpful staff and a welcome basket of delicious goodies too!
