I was ripped off by a seller on gumtree i reported it to gumtree but they made no action against the seller he is still doing the same today

Worst AD site for massage and they are thief, took your money and remove your AD, no refund, just using excuse you violate their T & C. Consumer council UK should get involved to suit them.

Posted an add warning buyers to avoid listed item that was a blatant scam. Only for it to be removed.

Posted an ad and had 4 responses within a day; ALL OF THEM WERE SCAMMERS.

Not worth the effort

Placed ad paid for listing and 20 min later got email saying it broke guidelines. Never got answer no help and like so many others have lost my money to gumtree. Not a very pleasent experience. They used to be very good.

Gumtree = bunch of cretins and halfwits who have no idea how to run a buying and selling company . They remove ads without telling advertisers why , their faq explains nothing and they also say they will send an email explaining why an ad is removed but never do. Imbecilic useless company that is past it`s sell buy date.

I tried to place an ad for food intolerance testing on two occasions, as I am a qualified nutritionist.
Gumtree removed my ad, and the only information I could obtain was a message reading that the ad violated their policies, which is rubbish!
The message also read that they would email me with the reasons they had removed the ad.
What a set of liars, they never emailed me at all.
Gumtree needs closing down.

So again tried listening a phone for sale basic advert pic price location advert deleted this told breaching rules no email so I contact ask for what rule I am in breach off and proof received no support and no email not the first time been ignored by gumtree stay clear very unprofessional shut be shut down.

Not sure who these people hire. I think the criteria to become a customer service agent here is to be a completely useless a hole

Disgusting service paid 29.99 to post a add the add didn’t even go live and was removed when I emailed they said we can’t give you a refund which is unacceptable they can’t take money for a service they are clearly not providing!!

Bombarded with " is it still available" questions, within minutes of placing add. Do NOT put your phone nos on their site, generates endless spam calls. Little expectation of finding a genuine buyer. Not worth the hassle.

Placed an ad, paid for featuring. When the ad appeared, showed my location as being nearly 20 miles from where I am. When I informed Gumtree, they immediately removed the ad. as this breached their code. No mention of a refund, even though the error was theirs ( why would I give a different location to where I live?). Will never use them again.

Great little app that has helped me through some bad times financially

I would give zero stars but thats not an option. Created an ad that does not in anyway break their rules having read them several times to be sure. Paid the fee. Add instantly removed by an automatic system. No email recieved to explain why. Customer services hide behind its broke the rules and we cant tell you any more. Gumtree keep the money. How much money must this company be making by acting in this fraudulent way. Avoid at all cost unless you have money to throw away

After my account and my personal life details being hacked by a scammer on this website because of the lack of security I had to deal with 6 years of constant emails and phone calls from scammers and fraudsters sometimes even 10 per day.Now that I managed to get rid of them I decided to give gumtree a second chance and advertise my car there.In a matter of hours I get 2 phone calls one scammer and one fraudster....I am fuming!!!!!!!!!!

I posted 2 pieces of tech i wanted to sell, nicely photographed, listing accurate - after about 1 hour they had deleted both postings.
I emailed them and they replied "you broke our terms and conditions" which after 3 or 4 times of reading I couldnt see how... I asked them again to point out where and i would amend what i posted... They have so far ignored me.
I've never used gumtree before but have used plenty of other sale sites. I wont be going back to them. Judging from the feedback and ratings on trustpilot they do not deserve to have our business anyway especially with the poor "support" they do or do not provide.

Thank you gumtree for wasting my time...

Worst advertising company ever! He doesn’t post my advertising but take money and not refund!!! Operators rude , switch off chats when can’t answer !
Cheap cheaters- be aware!

I paid for an ad that has never been posted and that I can't modify. Impossible to contact them, completely missing. What a shame, just sole your money. Be careful guys!!!
