Overall, we are happy with the service we received. The work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. However, we did feel that the handover after installation was a bit rushed, and as it takes time to get used to a completely new system, a follow-up call after 2 weeks would have been helpful.

I found Hafod to be a reliable, professional and excellent company. Their fitters worked hard to sort out various issues with our installation, and succeeded admirably. They were accessible by phone as and when needed throughout the installation period.
I was impressed by the care taken to ensure that everything was working OK.

Hafod were very helpful from the initial contact advising what system I would require. Installation of the pipes was done to suit my time-scale and then later the cylinder and heat exchanger were installed in a two-day operation. Everything went smoothly except for drilling through the brickwork. I suggested they drill a small pilot hole from inside, then follow up with a larger hole drilling from outside. They did not take my advice so I am left looking at a smashed brick, which would not have happened if they had done as I suggested.

Efficient, timely, polite salesperson and installation engineers. Competently sorted out my rather unusual and complicated plumbing. Minor moan is that there were no verbal instructions or even a booklet on how to set timer, temperature etc. I found them on line myself though.

The job was able to be started a few days earlier than scheduled and it only took two days to get the old, smelly oil-fired boiler out and install all the new equipment associated with the Air Source Heat Pump.
The two lads doing the job were very pleasant throughout and helpful when asked about features of the system. I was impressed by how neatly all the pipework and additional features of the system were installed and how little of our storage space in the utility room we had to lose.
We had a couple of glitches. First, the plinth, laid by me, for the ASHP proved undersized as I was not aware of the gap required beteen the unit and the house; but I was able to remedy this a few days later. Second, on day 2 the hot water tank overheated to 86°C. Iwan, the installer had left me his phone number and despite it being a Saturday soon came back to me with a possible reason and talked me through readings on the system to make sure it did not recur. On Monday, Lee, on technical backup, came out and determined it was due to a faulty immersion heater thermostat, which he was able to replace later that morning.
Since then the system has worked smoothly and we are enjoying a nice warm home.

Friendly and fast service from start to finish. We had an emergency where our old heating system broke and the heat pump wasn’t booked in to be installed for another few weeks. They helped us out and got the pump installed within 3 days! The men doing the installation were very good, efficient, polite and worked well into the evening. With two small children and minus 2 outside their help was greatly appreciated. Heat pump still working well,

Excellent company providing a great service, Hafod explained this new technology to us in simple terms and ensured that we had everything in place to receive the government grant. Our air source heat pump has been installed on time and I am pleased to say is working well. It remains to be seen how much we will save on energy, but I am hopeful.

Our existing heat pump failed in early December. We contacted Hafod and they sent two engineers first thing the next working day to assess the problem. They told us it would be cheaper to renew with a more efficient heat pump rather than try to repair the old one but they explained how we could use the emergency back-up before a new one was installed. Within days, Hafod had arranged a quote and the new one was installed exactly a month from the initial failure. The whole Hafod team were all excellent, professional and friendly in their service to us. We highly recommend them.

Air source heat pump installed efficiently by friendly and competent staff on time. Outside temperature was -4 degrees C overnight on the day of installation but the house was toasty warm the following morning and has been ever since.

We thank our lucky stars every cold winters day that we chose ground source heating for our big now warm rambling house.It's important to choose a company that is experienced at designing a good system and thanks to Leigh and Henry, Hafods technical wizkids we have just that.The guys come and go to time but because our job was more complicated once we were up and running we felt deserted at getting the finishing touches done hence the four stars rather than the five
